      That's what peoples are saying, because, they are fans of a guitarist is not the best! I like all the guitarists! But, hey! The creativity, the technical skills, the rythms, the melodies, of JIMI HENDRIX, OR JIMMY PAGE, ARE 1000% OVER GARY MOORE OR SRV! SORRY! GARY MOORE AND SRV, IT'S ALWAYS THE SAME MAN! AFTER 2 SONGS I'M BORING! HEBDRIX OR LED ZEP, OR PINK FLOYD, QUEEN, ETC, it's like if every songs were a different album! That's why you have some BEST!

    I saw Stevie Ray and was blown away, but Gary Moore is THE one that I wish I could have seen live. The tone, sustain and sheer command that he had of the guitar was mesmerizing, like a shaman. He’s the only guitarist who has literally moved me to tears - and that is strictly from recording and video - there is no telling where he would have taken me in a live performance. No matter what genre, Gary Moore had a distinct signature and held his audience captive throughout his entire performance. Brilliant performer and master of his craft. RIP Gary

    Gary started with a band called Skid Row, then eventually ending up playing for Thin Lizzy. But breaking away from just fast and loud rock, he started hooking up with some of the best black blues guitarists, and through their mentoring Gary became an excellent player. He's in a list of my top 10-12 favorite guitarists. So glad he got into the blues!! Gary and Rory Gallagher, another favorite, are both from Ireland.

    Well people if y’all didn’t know this and by the way it’s all about SRV ( with all due respect) Gary Moore was the first person that Ozzy called when Randy Rhoads was tragically killed in a plane crash on March 19, 1982 in Leesburg, Florida, and real quick it has been said by different band members that not only was Randy One of the greatest guitarists but that he was the best Musician they have ever seen ! Now back to Gary. To put this to rest. Steve I’d could play the blues and Rock Shuffle … Gary could play Blues , Rock , Jazz , Classical and he Mastered all those styles, Go listen to Blues for Jimi , Gary Moore was Hendrix on Steriods

    I'll say this, short and sweet. I LOVE STEVIE RAY VAUGHN!!! and I LOVE GARY MOORE!!
    For ME, the difference is clear. Stevie was absolutely INCREDIBLE playing and re-interpreting what had already been laid out before him. AN ABSOLUTE TALENT and NOTHING can EVER take THAT AWAY!!!!
    Gary Moore, COMPLETELY UNIQUE in his style while drawing from the past, but keeping it ALL HIS OWN!!!
    With SO MANY INCREDIBLE TALENTS out there, these two have risen to the top, in my mind. But I have to give that "unique edge" to Mr. Moore. It's just SO MUCH, SUCH A SHAME, that we've lost them both, along with Hendrix, Eddie. and let us not forget Prince, who may not have been known for guitar, but SHOULD HAVE BEEN!!! Along with how many OTHER instuments he played!!!???

    This is fantastic but there's another performance by him that is, IMHO, the best guitar performance ever recorded by the best player that ever lived. It's called "THE MESSIAH WILL COME AGAIN" - here's the link - th-cam.com/video/7k07j7LcLqw/w-d-xo.html

    The Les Paul, Gary Moore regularly played has its own history. Gibson made reissue replicas that sell for $50,000… The guitar is known as Greeny… named for its original owner Peter Green. It has changed hands many times through various musicians and collectors. It has sold for up to… $2,000,000 … that’s TWO-MILLION-DOLLARS. It is said by the musicians that have played it that no other guitar plays and sounds exactly like Greeny. I have read that there was a mistake made at the factory in the wiring of the pickups and that is part of its unique tone. Kirk Hammett of Metallica now owns Greeny. (Think Stradivarius violin in the hands of a master… but Moore could make any guitar sing.)

      @timheavyable ปีที่แล้ว

      The guitar was in the back of Gary's car when he got rear ended and the neck got damaged in the crash. So it was sent to be repaired and the repair work improved it's tone.
      Saw an interview with kirk hammet where he explains the theory as to why.

    Of course Gary Moore was the best guitarist ever, way better than SRV (plus he could sing way better too). But although this guitar solo was undoubtedly brilliant,his performance of Roy Buchanan's " The Messiah Will Come Again" from Monteaux beat this hands down. Gary Moore should always be mentioned when talking about guitar gods,as he could play any genre,but hard rock,ballads,blues and jazz is where he excelled,and his vocal prowess was every bit as intense. Even when he did covers by Hendrix like "Red House" you just knew he was special.

    Technically, Gary Moore was the best guitarist that ever lived. If you are judging someone on pure raw natural talent, then in my opinion the is between Rory Gallagher and Jimi Hendrix.

  • @TDFon

    Some players you hear, some you feel, and some are in your face. Gary Moore is a full body blow. He constantly ventures out on that ragged edge. I love some of his songs, but others are like this one. I appreciate his talent, but the song is so forceful it just wears me out.
