I thank my God for folk like you due to one of your lessons on chromatic scales I know my fret board better than I ever have and I can pick songs out on my own
These tips are great for strumming and are a 'preparation' for fingerstyle, which requires an extra capability - which is to reach a note of a chord in the order it is played without changing the tempo.
Learned about Uke Circles from a friend, about six months before Covid shut everything down. She lent me a uke, and I took a set of group lessons, then bought my own tenor uke. And then I found your channel! I learned so much from you. Thank you for being a wonderful teacher! Our Delta Uke Circle in BC, Canada has just started up again, and I can actually play along with most of the songs, thanks to your lessons!
Thanks - this was really helpful! I like your video tips! BTW, you really have a clear, wonderful way of explaining concepts making it so easy to understand.
Great lesson. I would like to add a suggestion though. On the G Chord. If you use the Pinky for G and the Index for G7. It works really well. As it does for D D7 on the Guitar. Thanks
Thank you very much for these chord tricks--it really helps the mindset to realize there are multiple fingerings for each chord transition. I just picked up the baritone and as a result of your tips, have already sped up changing from G to D (C to G on the uke) or G to D7 by switching from finger 3 to 4 for the G. More of these improvement tips are certainly VERY helpful for we newbies, perhaps much more so than a lot of song tutorials. One thing that I'd really appreciate are tips for memorizing the fret board so that I don't have to rely on tabs to read sheet music. Just a thought.
I know where you got that expression from Mr😃😆 Thank you for these exercises, I haven't touch my Uke since long..time to learn some new chords! I am going to use the same exercises on Guitar as I am practicing right now!

Great video, thanks. I'm having a great deal of difficulty forming, getting in and out of chords formed by multiple fingers on the first fret. I'm not sure why.
Thanks Kevin, clear, patient explainations. Helpful! Question: how about thumb position? Are there bad habits to avoid? Does one just place the thumb where it's the most comfortable?
I'd suggest leading the move to Em with your ring finger. While playing F, have your ring finger hovering over the C string where it will land for Em. That's a tricky chord transition, but I think this will help! - Kevin | allforuke.com
Tip: Changing between G and Em is very easy if you don't use your index- but middle-, ringfinger and pinky for the Em chord. Question: Tip for changing from Am to Em?
While playing the G chord, try grabbing C string 4th fret with your pinky to play Em. It may be a stretch but works for some. Hope this helps! - Kevin | allforuke.com

Forgot about that. I need to practice it more. Dim chords are really hard. Thanks for the reminder.

I dig your ukulele. I also dig the Pau Ferro, but they are not the same 😄
My guess is you are playing a Mahogany Supertenor

Hey Fred - I think this is a great idea for another video. I’ll add this to our content list for upcoming filming sessions. Thank you!
Hi, great lesson. Any suggestions to help with Em to D7.
How about using a capo on a baritone? Why,what, how, and does it make it easier?
Any tips for the transition from F to Em?

Nice

G goes pinky = Em is fun / or a D# lends itself in becoming a Gm
Then I try going from G to Em and RIP.
