Ah, great. I'm currently doing my PPL at EGSC (Cambridge). Are you going to go on and get an instructors rating or perhaps a different path?

Nice vid. Didn't realise you could book out night before. How early can you take off? I recall it was 9am-9pm whatever happened?
+Chris Dixon yeh you can bookout the night before no problem! I think the hours are 07:30-21:00 now!

I thought you'd set the QFE to begin with, then I checked the elevation at Blackpool :) Good service from Liverpool, all seems very relaxed and co-operative at that time of day. I do like the A to B stuff. I do far too much A back to A myself, but hope to get out a bit more this year. I've been encouraged by videos from yourself and Jon H to get my IR(R) which should give more confidence to go further afield and visit some places. Barton is on the list of places to do, so fingers crossed Liverpool or Manchester is as accommodating or I guess it's the LLC for me!

(Even though I only live 4 miles from Leicester and did my FRTOL there!)

Hi Ben, I am planning to land at Blackpool tomorrow as a fuel stop on the way to Oban (Scotland), and was wondering whether there is anywhere to eat on the airfield. P.S. Love the videos!
+Tommy Wade it's only a short walk to the town for some fish and chips! There isn't a specific cafe at the airport for pilots though.

Walk to Morrisons supermarket next door. There is a hole in the fence. Good and cheap!
Great video Ben. The Fish +Chips were always good in Blackpool as I recall. I used to visit with work a number of years ago.
