It always fascinates me how different colours can look on darker skinned people, and I mean that in a good way lol. For example, that yellow seriously popped against your skin tone. Jealous.
Now sis... that palette was way trash, its not unlike that crayola makeup. Just imagine the green came straight off when you applied the other colour over it, you really struggled to get this to work and you're a pro...my amateur ass cant deal with it.

I know Jaclyn is your colleague, but can we talk about the fact that all the matte shades you used on your eye were horribly patchy? And I mean, it's quite impossible to mess up shimmers. I'm gonna say it as you didn't really dared to, sorry, but there are other affordable palettes that you can get that have more quality. Did you even watch all of the video?Because she talked about how the matte green shades were not good. And there was nothing wrong with the yellow and orange/tan matte shades it was just the green eyeshadow that was bad. And 15 dollars for an eyeshadow palette ain't gonna break the bank.
Honestly that happen a LOT for black women colors go patchy on us you don’t see it often explained because sometimes it looks fine on light women but dusty and patchy on us

So what if I'm getting a palette for 15 dollars? The shadows should still blendable and workable with. Jaclyn knows those shadows don't work well and still sells them? Subculture #2 perhaps? If she really wanted the shadows to work, she'd fix the formula and make it 5 dollars more, I'd rather get good quality shadows and pay a bit more than something I can't even work with.

Aww man. I was so excited for these palettes but I don’t want to be struggling trying to blend and have the payoff that I need. Also, you said something that I notice a lot of people say which is “for the price it’s good” (in this case) “I mean, it’s 15 dollars” even if it was a dollar I would still want to know that the product I’m getting works well. Wether I save to splurge in a 60 dollar eyeshadow palette or buy a 10 dollar palette I would still expect a good quality product because I’m spending my money regardless. There’s some products that are inexpensive prices that work amazing so why should I settle for borderline meh.

After all, we can all see what occurred and, I guarantee, if this was the ABH Subculture, it would be getting ripped for performing like that. I completely understand not wanting to be critical of another influencers work, and a brand that you financially benefit from, but when I see one thing and hear another, it makes me question everything. In my opinion, it’s things like this that are giving Morphe a questionable name. They need to have a talk with their influencers to find a way to be honest, while not critical, before the influencers themselves destroy their reputation by trying to coat over when something isn’t perfect. Her left eye had a complete bald spot and I’ve never seen Jackie say that’s okay...
I... um... I feel like you put in WERK trying to sell some this when it obviously wasn’t performing. The main message of your video was “Well, the mattes in a 10 pan palette kinda sucked but it’s $15 and I have a code and Jaclyn’s my pal so... *shoulder shrug* go for it”. If people are buying the whole Vault as a set they’re dropping about $50 so if 30 or 40 percent of the shadows In each palette aren’t good, that’s a problem. Jaclyn promised these are the same formula as the original palette so I’m concerned. In Jaclyn’s reveal she had to swatch them like 5 times and work them into the skin to get pigment. If this was any other palette not from Morphe or a fellow influencer I feel like you would have read it to filth for performing that way. I’ve seen you be more critical in many other videos. This was some pretty profound sugar coating. I still love your content and am excited for this collection but I’m really nervous to get it now.

You should try the Maybelline Master Chrome highlighter, there is one in molten gold that makes a wonderful eyeshadow! It might be a good substitute if you only want that gold one out of the whole palette.
Juvia's place has really good yellows, and I know ABH's subculture palette isn't the most popular BUT they have a yellow mustard and a orangey-yellow shade that would look great on girls with melanin infused skin 💖

Cami Forrester Sweetie, they were nowhere near the quality of what she put out on her other palette. Believe me, I wanted to love these just as much as I have Jaclyns other ones but I mean it shows while she’s demoing it here.... they were patchy, not very pigmented, easily brushed away.... etc. now I’m not saying at all that they were horrible. They still were used to create a beautiful look. They just aren’t the best. That’s all. No shade, no hate. Just observation

I think i can get a better pallets for $15. Just cause something is $15 doesn’t excuse the fact that the eye shadow was patchy and didn’t blend. Also you get money from morphs so why would you say something bad about it.
I can't help but notice that many of those colors are already in Morphe's Dare to Create 39A palette. I would only pick them up because of the low price point, small size and mirror. But I literally have ALL those colors in my Morphe palettes already.

And from what I've seen a lot of the shimmers are amazingly being searched and used (the gold color, the green, the purrple toned!) and I'll buy a beautiful skimmer any day js

Shalyas collaboration with colourpop is affordable and still great quality. Now I see why these colors did not make it into the original but they are still gonna try it smh. This video completely took my excitement from the collection away, only because of the performance of the shadows. I love that you were able to pull out a great look but that's because you have a great blending talent. I think I'm gonna pass on this collection even if the price is good. I don't choose price over quality.

There are plenty of pallets out there for around the same price (or less) with better quality. I see what you're saying that some people might just stan her and will buy anything with her name to give her support. I just think it's foolish and a waste. Ultimately I agree with you everyone has there reasons for spending what they do on what they do. I'm just a very practical person in general. I don't own much makeup but what I do is put to good use and is of decent or exceptional quality and I use your videos and others to decide on if I'll be buying something or not. This video really proved all those people wrong who were saying "oh no one with a morphe discount code will put out anything negative about this collection" I have so much respect for you and just wanna say good on you for being so real. Your integrity is truly something uncommon in this community.

I thought I was the only one! I always hear everyone raving about the shadows and the brushes, but when I tried them, the shadows were kinda patchy and the brushes shed a lot. Maybe I have bad luck with their products. :(

if anyone is looking for some INCREDIBLE books, some personal favorites are The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison (honestly anything by her is amazing since her use of language and storytelling is the best out there! beloved and Sula, for instance, are amazing as well but the bluest eye is a personal favorite like I don't think that anyone should go through life without reading it) and Sing Unburied Sing by Jesmyn Ward (beautiful, extremely eloquent writing written by an amazing person) and The Thing Around Your Neck by Chimande Ngozi Adiche (Americanah and Half a Yellow Sun are great too but the thing around your neck is full of amazing short stories)

Most of the colors I feel are already in her other palette with morphe, not all but most & if not, then you can find a lot of these colors in one whole palette rather then buying 4 separate palettes which takes up space as well when it could just be in one palette.. waste of money. I get the whole performance of the shades but I think the whole idea for this palette was to separate them and not to throw them into one especially since it’s morphe and I’m sure they know yet another huge palette wouldn’t be well received since they have so many!! Savannah Napier yeah. Its not easy (or lets be honest, impossible) to put a 35 pan pallete in your makeup bag and head to school or work. I lovee the idea of the 4 small palletes just bc of that reason. The patchiness in the mattes is annoying, but even some of my juvias place palletes (and I love them) have patchy mattes....so I can't complain, especially when its only 15 dollars
I feel like this is more for the people who only look for certain colors in an eyeshadow palette (a.k.a me). I didn't purchase her original palette (or large palettes in general) because I knew I wasn't going to use most of the colors. These palettes are definitely geared towards people who prefer certain shades and who wish to save a ton of money. So yea, I'm super grateful for this release! 😊

I think expectations are high because the Jaclyn Hill palette is excellent and pigmented and its pretty cheap in price as well for the quality so I think everyone expects these palettes to perform the same way but it’s obvious that they don’t.
morphe is kinda known for their eyeshadow palettes so i feel like that’s the reason why she had high expectations. low price or not the quality of the eyeshadow should be bomb asf bc it’s what they’re known for.

Glam Momming a lot of black youtubers wont anymore because they apparently are sell outs. They give free promo boxes to white youtubers but not to black ones. Another black youtuber I cant remember her name but she said she reached out to them about it and they flat out said they dont ro promo packages and shes have to buy the palette but yet a white friend of hers got a pr package from them less than a month later and when she saw their email to her it was whole different attitude. They're black owned but yet clearly want to promote to the white masses while making black promoters pay to promote to black users.
Thank you for pointing people to books. Makeup is great, but books are better. None of the four palettes is great for me in and of itself. I would need to buy two, and by then it’s $30, so no thank you. BTW, I love watching when YOU struggle because if you do, imagine how badly it would work for me. Again, no thank you, Morphe. Did you even watch all of the video?Because she talked about how the matte green shades were not good. And there was nothing wrong with the yellow and orange/tan matte shades it was just the green eyeshadow that was bad. And 15 dollars for an eyeshadow palette ain't gonna break the bank.

Morphe and Jaclyn noticed that people weren’t having good experiences with the palettes. So they recalled all the vaults people bought from the pre-launch. And are pushing the official launch back to quality check the rest of the palettes.

Aww man. I was so excited for these palettes but I don’t want to be struggling trying to blend and have the payoff that I need. Also, you said something that I notice a lot of people say which is “for the price it’s good” (in this case) “I mean, it’s 15 dollars” even if it was a dollar I would still want to know that the product I’m getting works well. Wether I save to splurge in a 60 dollar eyeshadow palette or buy a 10 dollar palette I would still expect a good quality product because I’m spending my money regardless. There’s some products that are inexpensive prices that work amazing so why should I settle for borderline meh.

After all, we can all see what occurred and, I guarantee, if this was the ABH Subculture, it would be getting ripped for performing like that. I completely understand not wanting to be critical of another influencers work, and a brand that you financially benefit from, but when I see one thing and hear another, it makes me question everything. In my opinion, it’s things like this that are giving Morphe a questionable name. They need to have a talk with their influencers to find a way to be honest, while not critical, before the influencers themselves destroy their reputation by trying to coat over when something isn’t perfect. Her left eye had a complete bald spot and I’ve never seen Jackie say that’s okay...

I... um... I feel like you put in WERK trying to sell some this when it obviously wasn’t performing. The main message of your video was “Well, the mattes in a 10 pan palette kinda sucked but it’s $15 and I have a code and Jaclyn’s my pal so... *shoulder shrug* go for it”. If people are buying the whole Vault as a set they’re dropping about $50 so if 30 or 40 percent of the shadows In each palette aren’t good, that’s a problem. Jaclyn promised these are the same formula as the original palette so I’m concerned. In Jaclyn’s reveal she had to swatch them like 5 times and work them into the skin to get pigment. If this was any other palette not from Morphe or a fellow influencer I feel like you would have read it to filth for performing that way. I’ve seen you be more critical in many other videos. This was some pretty profound sugar coating. I still love your content and am excited for this collection but I’m really nervous to get it now.

Ngl every matte color looked like a struggle lol. The yellow was deeper in some parts than the other. And the other color started to disappear. I liked the colors but damn 😩
Jackie, the PR package isn’t for sale. The vault consists of all the palettes in its own little box type of thing, Jaclyn shows it in her video. I wish they sold it in the cute vault!

You should try the Maybelline Master Chrome highlighter, there is one in molten gold that makes a wonderful eyeshadow! It might be a good substitute if you only want that gold one out of the whole palette.

Believe me, I wanted to love these just as much as I have Jaclyns other ones but I mean it shows while she’s demoing it here.... they were patchy, not very pigmented, easily brushed away.... etc. now I’m not saying at all that they were horrible. They still were used to create a beautiful look. They just aren’t the best. That’s all. No shade, no hate. Just observation

I can't help but notice that many of those colors are already in Morphe's Dare to Create 39A palette. I would only pick them up because of the low price point, small size and mirror. But I literally have ALL those colors in my Morphe palettes already.

I mean they can always buy the first pallet she did with morphe (which I have and use often it's pretty good I have to say} or simply watch her videos to show support. There are plenty of pallets out there for around the same price (or less) with better quality. I see what you're saying that some people might just stan her and will buy anything with her name to give her support. I just think it's foolish and a waste. Ultimately I agree with you everyone has there reasons for spending what they do on what they do. I'm just a very practical person in general. I don't own much makeup but what I do is put to good use and is of decent or exceptional quality and I use your videos and others to decide on if I'll be buying something or not. This video really proved all those people wrong who were saying "oh no one with a morphe discount code will put out anything negative about this collection" I have so much respect for you and just wanna say good on you for being so real. if anyone is looking for some INCREDIBLE books, some personal favorites are The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison (honestly anything by her is amazing since her use of language and storytelling is the best out there! beloved and Sula, for instance, are amazing as well but the bluest eye is a personal favorite like I don't think that anyone should go through life without reading it) and Sing Unburied Sing by Jesmyn Ward (beautiful, extremely eloquent writing written by an amazing person) and The Thing Around Your Neck by Chimande Ngozi Adiche (Americanah and Half a Yellow Sun are great too but the thing around your neck is full of amazing short stories)

This palette is def a no for me. Most of the colors I feel are already in her other palette with morphe, not all but most & if not, then you can find a lot of these colors in one whole palette rather then buying 4 separate palettes which takes up space as well when it could just be in one palette.. waste of money. Savannah Napier yeah. Its not easy (or lets be honest, impossible) to put a 35 pan pallete in your makeup bag and head to school or work. I lovee the idea of the 4 small palletes just bc of that reason. The patchiness in the mattes is annoying, but even some of my juvias place palletes (and I love them) have patchy mattes....so I can't complain, especially when its only 15 dollars
I feel like this is more for the people who only look for certain colors in an eyeshadow palette (a.k.a me). I didn't purchase her original palette (or large palettes in general) because I knew I wasn't going to use most of the colors. These palettes are definitely geared towards people who prefer certain shades and who wish to save a ton of money. So yea, I'm super grateful for this release! 😊

Honestly. Like there’s pallets that’s super cheap that’s really good so you either get it or you don’t.
I think expectations are high because the Jaclyn Hill palette is excellent and pigmented and its pretty cheap in price as well for the quality so I think everyone expects these palettes to perform the same way but it’s obvious that they don’t.
morphe is kinda known for their eyeshadow palettes so i feel like that’s the reason why she had high expectations. low price or not the quality of the eyeshadow should be bomb asf bc it’s what they’re known for.
Money is money, it doesn't matter whether it's $50 or $15. I've bought palettes from colour pop for a lower price, and high expectations exceeded. Why waste money on something that sucks?

Glam Momming a lot of black youtubers wont anymore because they apparently are sell outs. They give free promo boxes to white youtubers but not to black ones. Another black youtuber I cant remember her name but she said she reached out to them about it and they flat out said they dont ro promo packages and shes have to buy the palette but yet a white friend of hers got a pr package from them less than a month later and when she saw their email to her it was whole different attitude. They're black owned but yet clearly want to promote to the white masses while making black promoters pay to promote to black users.

You probably already know this trick, to use your flesh toned loose/setting powder to help blend showdowns especially tough mattes
