No problem Mike. glad I was able to help you out. I actually ended up doing a color video for every new Mazda that day. just gotta edit the rest of the videos. figured I'd do the CX5 first so you could see. Have a awesome day man and thanks for watching! Chad
Hope you can get your hands on a 2019 CX5 Signature trim soon. That is what i think I'm getting next. The machine grey with those cocoa colored seats. It's a beautiful new trim level. Love your work, and keep it up!
Love the different colors on the Cx-5 very pretty metallic colors and that is something with black got to keep it clean and I loved what you said how cars can fit people personality cause people has said how my sonic is me
I've seen all of these in videos, in pictures, and in person. Here's my take on the colors. I won't steer you wrong: Iconic Silver is the best-looking overall. Period. You just cannot go wrong with a silver car. And this color looks really, really good on the CX5. Looks even better on the CX30. On the CX5 Signature Trim, however, Snowflake White looks best, plain and simple. It is very eye-popping, and it looks rad. It's like a Stormtrooper-mobile. The reason I would choose Snowflake White over Iconic Silver with the Signature Trim is, unfortunately, Iconic Silver is not available in the Signature Trim. Therefore, I would go with Snowflake White. Otherwise, if you are not getting the Signature Trim, just save yourself the headache and get Iconic Silver. Unless... If you do not like Iconic Silver or Snowflake White, or you just want a darker color and you are not willing to pay for a Signature Trim, I would get the Carbon Edition Turbo Trim. The Polymetal Gray Metallic and Machine Gray Metallic are comparable in shade, though one is a bit lighter. At any rate, the Polymetal Gray comes with the Carbon Edition Turbo, and more importantly, it's the only way to get that sweet, sweet red leather interior. That alone is almost worth giving everything up you get from higher Trims. Plus it's cheaper. But that's up to you. However, if you want the Signature Trim, or at least more than what the Carbon Edition Turbo provides with options, the Grand Touring Reserve in Machine Gray Metallic looks really good. Point is, either of these options is the third-best color on the CX5. And they look really good. None of the other colors look as good on the CX5 in my opinion. However, there are some things to say about them: Soul Red is not well-suited for the CX5. It is not terrible. It just is not as good as it could be. There is not enough contrasting color on the body to break up all that bold red color. I think if the CX5 had a blackout top and blackout wheels, it would work way better. As it stands, Soul Red is too sporty for this family-oriented SUV. For Soul Red, you want the CX30. It is best on the Turbo, Turbo Premium, or Turbo Premium Plus. With the increased real estate of the black trim and the blackout wheels, Soul Red is awesome on the CX30. And also the Miata. I would not get Soul Red on any other model. However, if you wanted the White Leather interior for your CX5, I would not get it unless you also get Soul Red or possibly Jet Black Mica. Speaking of Which... Jet Black Mica sucks. Not the color. The way it looks on the CX5. And it isn't even really the overall feel of the car. It's the exterior plastic trim. Jet Black Mica clashes with that plastic stuff. It's poor contrast. Looks even worse on the CX30. Avoid this color. There are better cars to choose from if you're wanting a black exterior. Eternal Blue Mica and Deep Crystal Blue Mica? Deep Crystal Blue Mica looks better. If you are looking at an Eternal Blue Mica option--let me just stop you there and advise you to get Iconic Silver or just get a Carbon Edition Turbo. You'll thank me later. Deep Crystal Blue Mica has sort of the same issue the Jet Black Mica has in that it clashes with the black trimming, even though it is a decent color. Hope this helps!
Very good taste! I personally like the Machine Gray or the Polyester Metallic with the red interior but my only problem with the red interior is I dunno if it's just a love at first sight and in a few years I might get tired of it. Sonic Silver definitely is another one of my favorites.
@@juantamad5528 Well... The whole red interior thing... I dunno. It's a much stronger color profile than any other option. I mean, you put red leather in your car, it sticks out. It isn't a common thing. I think it just depends on your lifestyle. Don't get me wrong--I know as far as color theory is concerned that it is a great palette. But I also know I am not the kind of guy who would be driving a car like that. If I was ten or fifteen years younger? Yep. I'd get it. But I'm approaching 40 now, and that sort of flare is a younger man's game. Probably why it's a cheaper vehicle overall. It is a more attractive option for younger owners. But if you're older or you have a family with kids and stuff, you're better off with the darker brown in the Signature or the black in the other trims.
Pablo, I reviewed just about every color possible in this video, but I don't remember ever seeing a Mazda with that color name. These were 2017 colors. Is that a 2018 color?
Rubbing the paint while it has grit on it leaves massive spider webbing. Take a look you can see it..I always tell the dealer to not wash my vehicle as they like using dirty water and rags saturated in grit to clean the paint. If you don't know it's obvious.
Mazda makes my favorite cars , painted with the ugliest colors ever put on a car . The soul red metallic .... wait until you get it scratched , then the bodyshop guy will tell you how beautiful it is .
machine grey (dark grey) looks amazing from behind with those taillights
Thank you. Helps me choose. Deep Crystal Mica Blue for me.
Hard to choose the best really anything works on a cx5
Deep Cristal Blue beautiful
Wish they had it in lightening/electric blue. that would be so pretty to me
Thanks for recognizing my comment about available colors. Wanted to seem them all on video before I went to the dealership. You were spot on here.

Chad did you see the 2018 mazda6 front new design it really looks great. Mazda design team did a great job
yes I did actually see that. Mazda is really starting to take flight again. Can't wait to do a review when we get our first one here in Charleston.
Hi! You did a very good video. Thanks!😉
It's only brown color left indeed. Think red's the most suitable for CX-5.

Ok, how bout Soul Red Metallic on a CX-90 S Turbo Premium Plus? Or, Machine Gray? 😉
Hi, great video. Can you do a video on the 2017 differences to the 2018?
good idea. thanks
Biggest difference is cylinder deactivation on the new ones apparently.
He really likes himself .. lol
I can see all the swirl marks
Do u know if Mazda will b selling the cx-4 to the U.S. market anytime soon?
One clarification, I live in Canada and I can get the eternal blue here
Does Titanium Flash color appear in the video?
Pablo, I reviewed just about every color possible in this video, but I don't remember ever seeing a Mazda with that color name. These were 2017 colors. Is that a 2018 color?
CharlestonCarVideos Hi, I really don't know if it is a 2017 or 2018 color, Mazda sells the cx5 in that color here in Chile, South America
I have 2016 GT with Titanium Mica Flash color in USA.
Isn't it eternal mica blue?
might be. I thought I was reading the color names off the sticker.
You have nice hands :) I'm getting a white one. Cheaper insurance
Look like a smiley face in front
eternal blue = you can have in Europe
Edward de medts Yep, both blues actually.
I wanna see the car and not your face, dude
Hey sir! What CX 5 version is the first red? Just asking cuz that one has a nice silver ending below the fog lights!
Lenin Valverde That one has the FRONT & REAR BUMPER TRIM PACKAGE (a $650 option). The dealer must have added it to that particular vehicle.
Yes TGS is correct on that. Maybe later this week when I'm back at Mazda I can do a video on that car to show you. thanks for watching everyone. Chad
TGS I hope it is also available in my country! Thanks for the info man!
CharlestonCarVideos can’t wait to see the video! Keep doing your great job!
CharlestonCarVideos please do
I just noticed the difference types of headlights and taillights on CX5 between basic trim and grand touring trim. Is that the case?
Hi Sukan, I'll have to take a closer look at that. I thought all the CX5's had the same headlights and taillights, but maybe not.
CharlestonCarVideos Thank you. We bought CX5 after watching your reviews. Keep up the good work
كم الوان مازدا6 2020

No Android Auto/Apple Car Play... No sale!
Will come soon - and as an upgrade for all Mazda’s with the MZD system.
LOL why show the colors while you are so far away from the car? WTF
Way to ruin the clear coat Ace.
Ruin the clear coat? what do you mean by this?
Rubbing the paint while it has grit on it leaves massive spider webbing. Take a look you can see it..I always tell the dealer to not wash my vehicle as they like using dirty water and rags saturated in grit to clean the paint. If you don't know it's obvious.
Zzzzzzzzzz. This dude likes his own voice
The silver color is so popular because the rest of the colors suck . That simple .
Mazda makes my favorite cars , painted with the ugliest colors ever put on a car . The soul red metallic .... wait until you get it scratched , then the bodyshop guy will tell you how beautiful it is .
