Hi , correct troubleshooting. Did the same thing except scratching the contact pads and the small circular spring contactor. I only used IPA + cotton stick to clean the oxidation. Button works like new.

Probably u have done something with the processor or ram.. I recommend you to fit them properly by the help of some hardware expert
