Either invest in a quality hot tweezers station,or just replace the cap with a soldering iron.I never use hot air to remove and replace just a cap.Only soldering iron with the proper tip for each job.Yeah it takes a minute longer but its safer imho.

My way of testing working motherboard without monitor is using usb keyboard. If the numlock or capslock respond to my command then it should be a working one.
It still needs a good battery to fix the boards, because the battery causes them to operate at first. If the battery is bad, the whole laptop will become locked, if the battery is new or in good condition, all functions will turn back on.
I have the donner type board and went step by step. I found 3 volts at the switch connection and the board fired up lights on and seems to be working with out doing anything lol
I fixed this same laptop before by reverting it to integrated graphics and prevented power from reaching discreet graphics because these laptops overheat and stop working due to the mediocre cooling
The original chip was likely removed & re-soldered (and killed) in search of the short - supported by the fact that that *they never found the shorted capacitor.*
Thanks Sorin, this was awesome. I want to ask for some video links or websites that helps beginners in understanding motherboards structures and components. If you plz.
@Frank Mormando: Master Sorin is just joking with us (his subscribers). I'm sure he replaces them either with new ones or from a donor. I was convinced of this with a video from 6 months ago (November 23, 2022) entitled: Do you really love your electronics? All the best.
Sorin, our electronics wizard ... fixing a mystery board with no computer to put it in. Proof there is no substitute for experience (and a big brain ... lol!)
I’m looking for a MOSFET, unable to find it on Google or other websites. The numbers on it are too row 0588, in the middle it’s IR 631K and above each pin is G5,7H, and then DB. Any idea where I can get this part? It’s a TO-220 case
Sorin is so addictive. Who can agree with me. The way I just love you.
No peripherals, no circuit diagram, no idea what laptop and still it gets fixed. Magic (or a boat load of experience). 👌
No magic here my friend! only experience and nothing more!

I don't watch movies anymore, I watch sorin fixing electronics, you pay a lot of money to learn in a university, with sorin is better

Sorin, can you explain how you have so many things hooked up to a power supply? Those power adapters + normal multimetr leds.
Elementary my Dear Sorin! The logic you use is fantastic.
you are so great sorin,, great than alexander😊😊
Motherboard whisperer amazing to watch a consonant professional at work feeling the zen of what he does

Probably one of your most informative videos..Bravos!! Also I don't think a DELL motherboard would ever have a HP power jack?

Thanks sir
thanks. 👍

@Electronics Repair School Can you do a video on all of the repair devices that you use and vivid detail on what your devices is used for?
This guy is a legend man..!
A very pleasant explanation and a good job carried out. Well done!
awesome
Because of you and northbridgefix I have finally began my repairs journey. So far so good
Nice one 🎉🎉
U can check the io schematic and there are usually 2 pads there . U can bridge with a tweezer the button is linked there.
amazing work

Great instructions! Will keep it in mind. I have board to play with

Use hot tweezer to repair or replace capacity

Just look through the history of this channel because Sorin has amazing tutorials and courses
"This little prick" HAHAHAHAHAHA !
Now that was funny as hell ! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Nice work done
I need your help I don’t know if I will be privileged
You are so funny! I am thoroughly confused about replacing caps, but I think you are doing it on purpose 😂

@@carlosgarciaoropeza5480 ok 😂
he desolder the caps after video recording 🤣
@@carlosgarciaoropeza5480 There is no need. Trust me, there is enough capacitors removing one won't cause any issues.
Sorin always dodge, but I like to watch his videos because I always get a new idea's to fix stuff without dodging 😂 even when sorin dodge 😂😂

Sorin This model does not exist unless it is HP Elitebook 850 g3?
If, according. With Part Number 6050A2728501-MB-A01 for that mainboard I find that model that you also indicate here in North America. All the best.
perfect!
thank you for an awesome video! :)
whats your thermal camera model?
Some hp laptop don't like not having a power button to turn on
Yup!
For how many videos i only see once that you replace a capacitor. 🤣🤣🤣 And this the second time. 🤣🤣
How you know witch side is + in a capacitor?
Cool...
That’s not a easy one. But nice find the BQ chip dead 💀
And the way you test it and make picture for us. Customer happy
Hi sir i hope u will fine . sir please make a video on iphone 7 looping ,come on and go's off problem . please 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Thats a audio ic issue, just reflow the audio ic short with 360 C
hp elitebook 840 G3
which kinds of multimeter do you use?
Uni-T
But how to find short cap or ic without power supply?
that's like asking how to repair cars without tools.
It is funny that people send a donor board with a faulty board.
Looks like HP Elitebook 840 G3 motherboard
❤
HP 840 G1 battery not increasing
Hey need firmware bios for gl504gm asus
Dont worry he will change the capacitor later :))
Again a great repair but sadly didn't make a properly calibrated capacitor. ☹😃☺
Ce înseamnă o mână formata.... imediat găsește condensatorul......
Capacitor gone short, laptop stop working, somebody tried to fix it , got BQ chip damaged. Just a guess.
funny rule 😂😂
