    Luis thank you so much for videos,has given a lot of knowledge as a young installer...have you done any of the new Tesla? I’d like to see your technique to reassemble mirror bracket......this camera was very tough to install PERFECTLY so if you have technique I would love to see!

    Every single one I’ve done has always had the camera and heated lane departure area rain sensor and heated where you have to use a pick to hold the grate of the speaker, then pull the bottom part in the door jam under the a pillar cover by the knee

      Yes, prior to 2015, when AP1 was introduced. But 2012-~2015 is similar to most cars. It’s the disassembly and reassembly in this video that has us cringing. Good reminder to take Tesla’s to Tesla.

    This is hard for a Tesla tech to watch. When you power off the car, you can’t then open a door without the power coming back on. The forward hood rests are threaded rubber, set exactly where they should be for even fit of the hood. Never pop them off. The plastic covers on each side are to be removed and installed with the rubber forward hood rest remaining where it is.
    Basically, take your Tesla to Tesla.

    You never wanna unplug the rain sensor bro. Just leave it pluged into the car eletrics and remove the actual rain sensor from the glass, more professional. saves the owner possibly going to the manufacture to get a computer reset. Happens sometimes, makes you look like a dickhead but it's easy to avoid

    • @vdkarautoglassreplacement3642
      @vdkarautoglassreplacement3642  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Uff ok good to know from a professional..i will try to dont looks like a dickhead...for the next and i will go with tesla dealers cause i do gobs from them and before doit i ask em for manufacture instrucción.
      And they said.just never get any soirce of power when sensor are unplug....so in this case they are the dickheads ..but i will take your advise..looks like you know more that the dealer and the manufacture manual...thsnks

    • @Xedilian
      @Xedilian 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      No i just mean you end up looking like a dickhead when you replace a windscreen for a customer, and they ask why their computer is failing and complaining about an error... All because you unplugged the rainsensor during replacement. Dude i've had this happen to me under Balron, even though manufacture instruction says to do it their way, doesn't always make it the right thing to do. It's a backwards piece of info but it's a good thing to know man. i didin't mean to come across as some kind of " professional " thing but it's what they do as a standard... Just to avoid that bit of embarrasment because usually w/e comapny you work for gets charged by w/e car manufacture you work on. I wasn't calling you a dickhead it's just my way of saying " looking like an idiot " but a little more verbal.

      Xedilian what do you do for the newer GM ones that has wiring go through the metal mounting bracket then? No way to get the sensor off without unplugging it on those.

      I've been installing Auto Glass for over 19 years and have unplugged EVERY R/S, and LDWS on every windshield I've ever installed if equipped. I've never had an issue EVER! Now, I have had customers call and complain about another shop that 1 or the other sensor is not operating correctly, and almost always the R/S is installed incorrectly, or not cleaned prior to re-installing. The LDWS sensor is another issue, most shops do not re-calibrate or have the incorrect software for that vehicle.
