- Replacing the windshield on a 2020 Tesla Model 3, here in my shop in Simcoe Ontario, follow us as we go step by step on the replacement of the glass.

taking the entire frunk out is a bit unnecessary you can pull the sides up enough to get the clips out and slide it up, but thats my preference.
@tugb0at01 makes it easier. Why fight around things and possibly break clips when u can just move it out of the way?

We are made to recalibrate them after install and reinstall firmware. From tesla even have to check pitch and yaw with a Hyundai board. If we don't they have electrical problems and tesla send us a bill .
Odd. Not here. We even contacted Tesla and they are the ones who advised us it does it its self and to leave it alone
And we do about 6 Teslas a month at my shop and zero problems
We started off not recalibrating them a year ago . Now there a rigmarole.

Whats the total to replace it?
@Banana-rg1cl it verys by year and model. But but usually $1000 and up
Recalibration?
On Tesla we dont have to calibrate the car as they do it on its own.

Yes you do have to recalibrate. Also you have to put the car in service mode and upgrade the software.
