Rimworld is like sims but for sociopaths. I love it.
So the sims
Sims is already for sociopaths, this is for psychopaths
But when I was about 10 years old, I must have killed about 400 sims on purpose. I even had so many graves on one lot, that ghosts *constantly* spawned day and night. That's not supposed to even happen. ... Yeah, I regretted doing that - I got nightmares of a Sims Death Pyramid House.

I recommend the Slow Motion mod, it's VERY handy for when things slow down, once the FPS drops if you half the speed of the game it smooths out a ton, might be useful for making more workable footage with challenges like these

I did something similar with Gmod. If the game is gonna run slow, the least it could do is run smooth.
Do you have a link or something to search for to definitively find this mod? Google is yielding nothing useful because of the vague nature of that name.

I can't believe you forgot to put in prison some of the squirrels, put them through mind manipulation to think that the other squirrels are their enemies and proceed to have them carry chemfuel to have them charge head first at their old friends.

Capture some squirrels, starve them and make them fight each other. The winner gets fed squirrel meat. Repeat until the winning squirrel is cannibalistic, then release him
Btw another solution was the death cooler tunnel. You force them into a narrow long tunnel coolerd down to -50°.

I like how the third chapter is marked as "Industrialization" and it's basically just creating an elaborate SAW trap
As opposed to all those simple and straightforward saw traps.

This feels like it was based on a book.
A group of people surviving the apocalypse while slowly going insane, eventually setting themselves on fire in their last effort to kill the enemy
The Thing! Sort of... It's not really an apocalypse in The Thing, it's just the arctic.
Not to that extent, but there was an old sci-fi book about society that sends students to survive for a short amount of time on another planet, but this time something went wrong, and students were left on a planet for years(?), and as it turned out, this planet had very interesting way of ecological cycling.
Early on in my rimworld experiences i had a colony of like 6 or 7 people. Had a small killbox and my pawns had rifles and handguns. (Didnt know simple sidearms existed at this point) had 19 maddened cats attack the colony, so i set up my pawns at the killbox and the swarm immediately overruns my pawns only losing 3 or 4 cats and then begins to pummel my pawns 1 by 1 in hand to hand combat. One of the funniest experieces i have had in rimworld
Same scenario but I didn’t have have a kill box and somehow survived with only one dude getting scratched
A good trick against manhunters (and melee/short range raiders) is to have a quick pawn run in an oval shape in front of a firing line in the open, just be careful of very fast animals and the occasional go-juicer, along making sure the one running is always the closest to the enemies.
Works even better with psycasts like burden and skip in order to dodge more easily.
@@scorpixel1866 yeah that a good idea, i just use traps now especially for manhunters. The account i gave was from like 3-4 years ago. But you're correct that having a distraction is good to keep pummeling mechs and manhunts. At the time my killbox understanding was slim and my confidence in pistols was very high lol. I also wasnt running simple sidearms either at the time so they only had ranged weapons. I was like "cats cant take more than one bullet right?" Randy told me i was wrong with blood lololol
@@Aaron-oe8xwI mean they can if you use a doomsday rocket launcher. Although I think the “one shot is all it needs” rule applies to everything when near the target of a doomsday rocket launcher. If you haven’t gotten it I can describe it in one sentence that I said after using it for the first time. “Everything in that area is no longer alive”

Commander: "Fire at the enemy"
Soldier: "Roger, deleting that general direction"

This reminds me of the story of an ancient chinese emperor who played a game of chess or something with a great merchant. After winning the final game the emperor was in great spirits and told the merchant he would give him whatever he wished for. The merchant declined but the emperor insisted. So the merchant requested the amount of rice that would be equal to a piece of rice that doubled for each square on a chess board. The emperor of course laughed at this small request until later his treasury spoke with him informing him it would be impossible as there was not enough rice in china to give to the merchant to supply his request.
Going from memory of course and all that so might have been off in some aspects.

My grandpa used to grow tomatoes that squirrels would eat. So, he used some sort of poison to try and kill the squirrels, but in the morning they were gone. He repeated this process several times and eventually the squirrels stopped. This was apparently because my grandpa has decimated the local squirrel population and it took them over half a decade to recover
