I work for harley davidson as an assistant technician and I find myself diding 50 plus bikes a day ... every time I get back on my gutless 250 and I have more fun than all of rhem
@Hunter Beaulieu i can't afford either one right now either. That's why I have a 1982 sr185 that I got for 500 bucks and put knobbies and cheap suspension on lol
I like this bike too. I want to go nomadic and live in a box truck. I have always been a kawaii guy and the klx250 seems like the perfect secondary transpo. Light weight and user friendly. Hope to get one someday.
I think the KLX in stock form is perfection. Little on the weak side but that's another thing I love about it. It's the absolute best entry level dual sport.
Yeah you might get mowed down by that mom trying to get her kids to dance practice or something. But you will also be able to get up or down that tight twisty single track with ease where on a hoss size adventure bike it would be much more difficult and not fun. Been riding for over 20 years and still have much love for small displacement dual sports.
Cool to see big dudes on these 250s. I always thought they were designed for little 140 lb guys to rip around in. I've gotten down to about 185 and I'm at sea level so this may work for me. Have had street bikes but always wanted to try dirt.
ha ha yup!! I am about 250lbs with gear and all. Im in the process of getting the KLX300, CRF300L and GPX moto 300 4 stroke to comapre em all soon up in 10k elevation
Nice vid. I have a 2006 KLX 250 that I purchased used. The bike came with a hotter cam and FMF silencer. The guy who had it before me put on the aftermarket silencer and hotter cam and did not rejet the bike. I live in Indiana 600 feet above sea level. The main jet was a 118, I went up to a 135. This stopped the surging problems in the higher rpm ranges. I mainly use the bike for commuting. I changed the gearing to 15T/39T. I can cruise at 70mph at 6,000 rpm's. The suspension is soft, but you must think of this bike like an overgrown trail bike, trying to do two things that are meant for specific bikes. If they would have put ABS on the brakes, that would have increased the price dramatically, also if they would have put on the Showa front forks of the motocross KX, this also would have bumped the price up significantly. I have race weapons for the weekends. The KLX fits perfectly for a daily commuter and can also double as a way to check out an off road trail if you see one. I wouldn't try to clear LaRocco's Leap on it or attempt to attack a set of supercross whoops, but to check out a new possible riding area, it's perfect.
The way I see it is every bike has its pros and cons and no bike is 100% perfect. You just gotta take the good with the bad. I love my KLX250 also and I don’t disagree with what you said. It’s just that the pros far outweigh the cons.
definitely true!! the pros def outweighs the con. to be honest...when I rode my klx250 yesterday, I honestly preferred the klx vs my husky or beta for exploring and normal trail use. it was pretty crazy. so much more comfortable, chilling lol
You know under each fork you can adjust the dampening right? Same with the rear shock. I increased dampening front and rear shock and removed some sag from the rear. It’s plenty capable now. As for the engine, I upgraded everything I could while keeping the original 249cc bore. It rips pretty good now. If the engine ever takes a dump I’ll just get the 351 kit but for now it’s plenty good.
Agree 100% All the bike needs is sprockets, pipe and tires {keep rear small, everyone puts 110's on here and its saps power} Once the suspension is set up the bike rips and handles great. I did the EJK and air lid off, gave it a little more grunt too.
Could you share a link of where you got your hand guards, mirrors and led’s. Just got a 19 and love it. Have you thought about changing your front sprocket?
I just bought a 2021 KLX 300 (in Camo Grey)...will get a new slip on pipe and ditch the airbox snorkel. Should add a couple of horse power and a better exhaust note. A major improvement in power over the KLX 250. Im in love with the bike.
Like your vids, Will. BUT...I need to add a few things regarding the power. First of all, you are riding in elevation looking roughly at 4-6k ft. That alone saps 15-20% power. Second : We are both big guys over 200lbs. Third it sounds like u left stock gearing. The bike is seriously under powered with the stock 14/42 gearing. Fourth i see u put a big heavy 110 series rear tire on there, sapping even more power. The stock size or 100/100-18 is light and lets the motor rev faster/better low end grunt. The new 300R only comes with a 100/100. U have a lot of factors combined here making that motor struggle. Im 210lbs , with just sprockets and pipe it could hit 60mph around 7 seconds at sea level. 14/48 gearing it was enough power to wheelie and have fun and still hit 75mph
Agree, 350 or 400 cc would be the sweet spot for this bike.It would even be better if it was a 2 cylinder. Can do without abs on a bike of this size.Fuel injection makes it a winner in my mind as compared to others without it.
My 09 klx 250s dose 88mph at 8000rpm all it's got is a fmf q4 slippon. It will eat up a klr650 on the freeway. I'm 5.11 165lbs. Great bike for 1000$ no complaints here
Next video: “ my riding has advanced beyond the KLX, that’s why I bought the WR250R” Dude. Good videos. But I feel like the places you go and with how much you ride, you deserve to treat yourself to the next level. Because YOU sir are beyond the beginner realm and soon to be an intermediated or advanced rider. Cheers on the great videos. I always try to find the honest channels. You’re one of the good ones. Keep it going man!
thanks so much man! lol i got the KLX250 since I was a brand new rider not even mountain bike experience ha ha. but you almost got it head on ;) I bought a Husky 701 instead lol
Hey man, I have a CB500X too. I've been looking at the KLX250 & KXL300 in order to have something a little lighter to play with in the woods and ride with my kids dirt bikes. Great video! I've got a couple video's on my channel, one of which has some creek crossings that my CB500X did awesome in.
Nice review, I agree the KLX has been a bike I continue to be more and more impressed with...put in the Bill Blue 351 kit and I think it will almost be perfect. I don't like the idea of selectable abs and if they had a version with it that costs 800+ more I wouldnt go near it but if it didnt add too much to the cost...I would think about it. But yeah power is the major flaw on this bike, but even with its lack of it it is surprising how quick you can get this thing to move in single track .
thanks man I appreciate it! I think I am going to give it a 351 kit, the only issue is I ride in 14k feet elevation so it will be def starving of air for power haha. but I am going to do that and add an ECU to it with perhaps a full exhaust system. ABS I would say is bad for experienced riders as I can out brake my ABS on my 701 enduro, but perfect example, my friend who was riding dirtbikes for the 1st time ever was a bit scared to brake hard due to it locking up since he was not used to it. other than that man this bike is so awesome and perfect! thanks for watching though!!
i agree with the ABS, I already can out brake my 701 enduro ABS and I hate the ABS. but when I was a new rider, i liked having ABS just in case. no 1 is born with dirtbike skills. its all seat time. I ride a lot and I am already an upper level B rider in hard enduro races on my 2 stroke. still this KLX250 is fun to ride and still love it.
probably the only bike you will ever need too. as I get better on my 2 stroke, i take my klx250 out and its crazy how well it stacks up with legit dirtbikes
It's a 250 it's not a 650. I just bought a DR 200 which has like 15hp but because it weighs 250lbs I can throw it around and do things I was never able to do on my big KTM 640. For around town these little bikes are fine but for tight rough rutted rocky offroad riding they're perfect.
I had a Kawasaki 250 and switched the spark plug with a splitfire, the power boost was very noticeable. Now they have the KLX300 which I will probably go for, or the CRF300...
I think the honda 300 rally checks all the boxes for me been looking all winter really looking forward for something new cruisers kinda not for me anyway
@@johnganshow5536 yeah definitely rally more fuel capacity for longer stretch areas most towns are 50 to 80 mile stretches in my area lot of dirt roads be cool but the honda I think be good for my area also due to several dealerships close to me whereas parts be more accessible done years or Harley sportster riding owned Yamaha honda shadow Suzuki but always miss the enduro's of my youth think honda be the way to go this summer
Doesn’t need to be a 350. Just needs a motor with actual compression. Knock the steel frame and tank that’s what kills us. Also why would it have abs it’s a dirt bike lol not an adventure bike. “Dual sport” it can go on the road without getting you a ticket. But hey throw some new bars on it change the sprocket and take the snorkel off the air box and it’s a fun bike. Oh and trash the stock exhaust.
Yeah not exactly a 350 but would help keep the cost down. Maybe even more aggressive cams. Usually higher compression depending on porting and stuff will require more maintenance ABS not really needed I mean I already outperform ABS in braking but it's good for new riders in the road. I know 4 people who died on the road from left turners. They never had offroad experience though and that helps tons with emergency braking
Not a big deal to fix the forks, heavier springs and the correct oil will eliminate the dive under braking and make it better in the dirt. $200, more if you want to install cartridge emulators. I can't complain about the power or range, mine has a 351 kit and a big tanks, gives me about 180 miles.
Great "chopper" Kawasaki!!! Why not a road legal "KLX300 Rally/Adventure" with ABS (on-off), Led Lights, Digital Display (ninja650), around 400km range, cargo space etc. A mini KLR650, or KLX300 Rally, (or Tenere300)... Maybe soon enough, before other brands enter the BIG game of below 300cc Economy, Trustworthy, Adventure Bikes... We only hope... for a "Green Dual Sport Monster"...
I'd love to put a 350cc kit on mine, but I'm really not chasing top speeds. Yea it's nice to jump on the highway and get to another city fast but I'm not trying to ride over 55/60 mph anyway. With a visor on the helmet the wind beats me down so fast anyway.
Looks like most of your wish has come true with the KLX300 Camo coming out soon. Now Im wondering should I wait for it or should I grab up one of the many soon to be upgraded KLX250 camo's being put up for sale as Im just using it to run around town and to the many Jersey Shore Boardwalks. We shall see!!
it def did! now the crf300 also came out! so I am trying to get my hands on both of them and see the difference. I really think the honda is very attractive
to be honest this is where I stand now. I am going to redo my DRZ400 since I can not get enough power out my KLX250. IF the klx250 had the DRZ400 engine, the KLX would be the best dualsport out there hands down! but it is a great intro bike! sup easy to ride!
@@RWWRENTAL TRUE! I sold it to my girlfriend's brother and I took it for a ride this morning and was thinking that perhaps the new klx300r engine could suit it fine, but they haven't anounced power figures yet....a least I haven't found them anywhere.
@@RWWRENTAL Have you considered the 351 Big Bore Kit from Bill Blue? Relatively inexpensive, reliable, and the dyno numbers are impressive. Coming from a KTM 350 EXC-F, i worry about the power as well, but worst case scenario i think the multiple big bore kits available seem to more than solve that issue? Same goes for suspension. Worst case i go custom from someone like RaceTech.
It’s a 250 what kind of power were you expecting lol, they have to keep the price down that’s why stock stuff isn’t that great, I’d rather buy the bike cheap and upgrade as I ride and customize it how I want than have it at 6.7k MSRP, just my opinion
I’m new here but on the crf250l and wr250r a pip and fuel programmer with a good tune and a few other mods wakes it up a lot! Then playing with sprockets helps but it sounds like u got a pipe and I’m assuming a tune
I wish Kawasaki would make there 300 a DUALSPORT, i think it would be the perfect size, the 250 is fine but the 300 would do a little better on the street
Now that the KLX 250 has EFI., why can't it get the same horsepower that the WR250R has? What you complain about comes down to how much extra are you willing to pay for the extras? It is the cheapest dual sport out there.
if it had the power of the wr250r, think it would be great...but KLX250 was designed to be an entry level dual sport. so its a hate and love kind of relationship with the bike hahah! but by far the klx250 has been the most comfortable on and off road in everyway possible. going to make a video about it as well...and tbh still prefer the KLX250 over the husqvarna, beta or drz on simple forest ride
@@RWWRENTAL - In my research over this last month (purchasing next May), WR250R's are great bikes but more intermediate with the ability to grow as the ride advances and is better suited for riders around the 5'11" to 6'2" range. Also, for slow fun or technical trails the WR is not a great bike. It does not like to go slow and have many posts or articles stating this. Its a mid to high rev engine that loves to be pushed. Personally, I am between the KLX250 and CRF250L with the Honda in the lead. I love the Camo KLX but the Honda has way larger aftermarket support for not only power but accessories.
@@27Zangle yep totally agree! wr250r is a great machine to grow into. if I would have done it over, I would have gotten the wr250r, but I think the seat height and price of klx250 won me over lol
Great video! Nicely done... hey I am planning to move to Colorado ;) meanwhile, can u help me a bit... I am 5 foot tall and only been riding street bikes foreva. I want a dual purpose bike. I weigh 120lb and will be new off road. I dont want a really underpowered bike.... but I am concerned about my seat height, I want to touch the ground at least with one foot ;) and I want to be able to have a prayer to pick it up if it falls. Can you recommend a place to start? My previous bikes are Honda 250 cc, Harley 883, Harley 1200 cc. Thanks ;) and happy trails !
hey! so the fact you are 120lbs might be a good thing! I would look into a tw200 for dual sport riding or a ttr 110. those are pretty zippy. I think the ttr230 might be a bit too tall and even a xt250. but!! if you can find a honda wild cat somewhere, that would be a gem!! I have a KLX250 and if you want to ride out and test ride the klx250 more than welcomed to if you move near where I ride in CO that way you can feel what the seat height is more or less and test ride it on the trails
RideWithWill I search for women who ride dual sport and found a Yamaha xt 250 is about as low as I can find at 31”. I am going to go down to the dealer and see if I can ride one... wish me luck. Oh and the video i found is also on YT a woman named Victoria.. I like her accessory choice too. Thank you 🙏 lets ride when i get to CO, I am hoping to move to Pagosa Springs.
@@rippy4freedom499 oh absolutely!! xt250 is def a great choice for a dualsport!! if you plan on mostly doing dirt roads trails, you might want to look at a kx100 they have a very low seat height and light if you drop it. best part is you can plate any dirtbike in CO!! feel free to hit me up with any questions! maybe my wife and you can go out for a ride! good luck!
RideWithWill how about I ride with both of you!!! Yes, I copied all your suggestions ;) I really want at least a 250 cc but I am keeping an open mind. I considered a can nam turbo maverick but I really dont like the idea of trailering to get to a trail necessarily. Oh thanks I did not know you can put a plate on Trail bikes there.. although I do want to compromise to have at least a decent road experience for say 30 miles. I dont really see myself doing long motorcycle road trips anymore.. I have done that for over 20 years. But I could see taking it to Moab with my truck and camper... that would be a blast.
@@rippy4freedom499 haha totally down! ohh the kx100 is a 2 stroke, plenty of power vs a 250 4 stroke and less maintenance! and 20x lighter :) but only if you do mostly dirt trails vs street. But in CO there is sooooo many trails youll prob just be trailering a bike more often than not. sadly, most roads here are 60 70mph which will be horrible unless you get a big ADV bike or something like a ktm 690 enduro...but then you have to worry about seat height again lol. as far as SxS I actually have one, but I want to get rid of it. bikes can be plated, SxS cant. bikes can get you to wayyy more places vs SxS and also bikes are 20x safer. there have been many SxS roll over on mountain passes and trails. and TBH, not me, but most dirtbikers hate SxS riders here because most of them are irresponsible lol. but its what suites you best! instagram.com/ridewithwill is a way to contact me if you ever come down here
RWW, Am not far from you. Would have sent an email (to expand this conversation), but don't see your email on the about page. Have you visited 307 & 311 off of Loy Creek rd? The scenery is very good.
hey man yeah just hiot me up on instagram! instagram.com/ridewithwill but yeah I have done all those trails very easy but I believe you need to be plated on 307. I would do ormes peak as well. a pretty ride. I mean it is not as scenic as the passes or the trails down south like Texas crk and seeps.
@@bullbars1822 I'm a millennial, so I never actually thought of that. I don't have quite enough spare cash around atm, but when I do I'll probably take you up on that idea.
@@dangerdanadv1445 they do, but heard they dont provide a "huge" power difference. like say a beta350 or ktm/husky 350. could be an improvement though. been giving some thoughts on big bore with headers, new power maps and pipe with an airbox mod and kind of see where that goes lol
I got this for my beginner bike I’m 5’ 9” and it’s perfect, haven’t dropped it once and it’s so light weight I couldn’t be more impressed with the klx250s.
How big of a guy are you. Im looking for a bike to ride around town and out to work and play around on here and there. But dont want to spend a tin of money just yet. Just curious if the 250 would be a good bike for that.
Hey man I'm about 250lbs with gear but also live in 10k ft elevation. It struggles to go 65 to 70mph and uphill barely wants to stay at 60 mph. If you want to troll around town and don't care about 60mph and over speed this is a good bike. It is gutless but also does very well off road. Just depends on the speeds you are interested in and if you are the type to want more power down the road
@@RWWRENTAL thanks for the info. Im at about 6500 ft I live on the western slope of Colorado. Im just looking for something to bomb around on nothing to hard. But I might look into a bigger bike.
ehh when you say fast....it depends. open roads yeah it can be fast lol. but since I ride in Colorado and a lot of our trails are steep inclines and rocky/technical its more of a power/gearing thing
klx250 is more offroad oriented the crf250l is more on road. both are pretty gutless and need to be revved out to get some good speed. crf250 is heavier which makes it more comfortable for the road. both can do trails fine. if you are a new rider, either will do and you will get a feel once you start riding for quite some time. If you plan on doing more offroad with minimal high speed runs on the street, the klx250 is great. if you more of a city cruiser with flat forest roads, I would go with crf250L
Well, I live in countryside, on a farm, so city driving would be minimal, maybe 30% on paved road and rest on gravel, mud and hilly forest truck, that means klx would be better.
@@velimircuvrk1640 yep!! I think a klx250 would be better suited for you since its mostly offroad. it does technical trails just fine also. I also ride a TE250 2 stroke on gnarly trails in Colorado and ive been taking the KLX250 on them and its so far been fine. A little more work vs a 2 stroke but it does them. Are you fairly new to dualsports? or been riding a long time?
@@RWWRENTAL Yes, I'm dual sport noob, never sit on one. I only hand 2 stroke 50cc bikes in my childhood and been riding occasionally my dad's Honda nt650 Deauville (wich is too heavy).
@@velimircuvrk1640 so I would recommend buying a used KLX250 which is not too expensive then get your taste from there. Your skills and the type of terrain and even friends will change within a year or 2. but a good start is def a klx250. I wouldnt buy new. that is prob the only advice I have to give till you figure out the kind of riding and type of style and trails youll be hitting which will change quite a bit within a year or 2. then you can sell it for almost the same price again if not more than what you paid used.
Have you ever noticed when opening locking gas cap, that there's wetness around recessed filler area? As in maybe fuel tank vent fume buidup? Looks like a leak but I don't know. That's what I'm experiencing with my 2019. Thanks to anyone that can chime in!
I haven't noticed anything unusual on my 2019 camo. I'll watch for it. I'm mostly street riding, so the tank probably isn't being agitated like maybe in off road situations.
Lmao yeah because a klx250 will weigh 400 lbs if they come out with a 350 or 450....just like the 701 enduro right? Just because you add a bigger cylinder and bigger piston does not make it weigh 100 lbs LOL. thats why the drz400 weighs 400 lbs or even the KTM 500 weighs 400 lbs right? use your logic
Ludeman, How will it weigh an extra 100 lbs if it was a klx350? they already sell bigbore kits that make it a 351. you make no sense. a bunch of us want the klx250 to really be like a 350 or so
yes I can add mods to it. cheap skate? not really.
It can be the bike you want. Bigger motor? Bore it out. But first try exhaust and power controller. Suspension? Change it. ABS? Learn to brake.
i agree with the ABS, I already can out brake my 701 enduro ABS and I hate the ABS. but when I was a new rider, i liked having ABS just in case. no 1 is born with dirtbike skills. its all seat time. I ride a lot and I am already an upper level B rider in hard enduro races on my 2 stroke. still this KLX250 is fun to ride and still love it.
Three things? The tail section, the exhaust system, and the foot pegs . All three of which I've changed.
how about the klx250 with 400cc motor and klr seat klr replacement
It's the best bike in the world when you upgrade from an XR150 after a year and a half haha
probably the only bike you will ever need too. as I get better on my 2 stroke, i take my klx250 out and its crazy how well it stacks up with legit dirtbikes
@@RWWRENTAL yep it's all I'm getting for now lol. We do 200-300km ride days usually. A drz400 would be good but not available in Vietnam
Great video! I am always happy to see new Colorado motovloggers
thanks man!! appreciate you watching!!
@@franmitch3589 Just the regular Honda 300 Dual sport would be lighter, maybe better off road. But if you ride mostly pavement, then the Rally...
Usually higher compression depending on porting and stuff will require more maintenance
ABS not really needed I mean I already outperform ABS in braking but it's good for new riders in the road.
Regarding being under-powered: because emission norms! Since its road legal, it needs to meet them.
so does the ktm 250 excf :) and produces way more power but...lack of power can be a good thing as well! esp for new riders
Great "chopper" Kawasaki!!! Why not a road legal "KLX300 Rally/Adventure"
with ABS (on-off), Led Lights, Digital Display (ninja650), around 400km range, cargo space etc.
A mini KLR650, or KLX300 Rally, (or Tenere300)...
Maybe soon enough, before other brands enter the BIG game
of below 300cc Economy, Trustworthy, Adventure Bikes...
We only hope... for a "Green Dual Sport Monster"...
How nice would a 300 tenere be! But look at the 250rally version of Honda, such a nice bike!
I LOVED IT UNTIL I GOT TIRED OF IT'S LACK OF POWER AND TORQUE SO I SOLD IT......I'M WAITING FOR KAWASAKI TO GIVE IT A NEW BIGGER ENGINE.
to be honest this is where I stand now.
Marcelino cam mod.
@@ossa60 The 2020 KLX300 should have the same power as the early KLX300.
It’s a 250 what kind of power were you expecting lol, they have to keep the price down that’s why stock stuff isn’t that great, I’d rather buy the bike cheap and upgrade as I ride and customize it how I want than have it at 6.7k MSRP, just my opinion
A bore kit and you have a great bike
I’m new here but on the crf250l and wr250r a pip and fuel programmer with a good tune and a few other mods wakes it up a lot! Then playing with sprockets helps but it sounds like u got a pipe and I’m assuming a tune
Thanks buddy! Will definitely provide an update. Planning to do that stuff!
Why do they cost so much for a new one?
I hated my klx250s....I was fat at the time 250ish. But it was weak and the suspension was awful.
I wish Kawasaki would make there 300 a DUALSPORT, i think it would be the perfect size, the 250 is fine but the 300 would do a little better on the street
i hope so too! one day!
@@RWWRENTAL what do you think of the crf250l?
You really want a KTM it sounds like, better suspension and more power.
;) already have one! But still love my KLX250!
I picked up the new KLX230 and LOVE it!
@@brettgazdzinski9477 grats man!! I was looking at the klx230! Im thinking of buying the KLX300 soon! as my just chill explore bike
I wish kawasaki would have put its 400 twin engine in it instead
i hope they design a bike with a vtwin with KLX250 features. oh man!! that would be awesome!!1
But in CO there is sooooo many trails youll prob just be trailering a bike more often than not. sadly, most roads here are 60 70mph which will be horrible unless you get a big ADV bike or something like a ktm 690 enduro...but then you have to worry about seat height again lol.
as far as SxS I actually have one, but I want to get rid of it. bikes can be plated, SxS cant. bikes can get you to wayyy more places vs SxS and also bikes are 20x safer. there have been many SxS roll over on mountain passes and trails. and TBH, not me, but most dirtbikers hate SxS riders here because most of them are irresponsible lol. but its what suites you best! instagram.com/ridewithwill is a way to contact me if you ever come down here
of course the guy on the KTM is doing wheelies
RWW,
Am not far from you.
I love my KLX, but damn if I don't want to put a Blue Bill 350 Kit in it...
haha believe me, I am thinking of doing the same thing. I really love my KLX and doubt I will sell it unless kawasaki comes out with a 350
@@RWWRENTAL I also don't know if the big bore kits work with EFI KLXs
It's not hard to get the phone number for Bill Blue on google. He'll tell you right away.
@@bullbars1822 I'm a millennial, so I never actually thought of that. I don't have quite enough spare cash around atm, but when I do I'll probably take you up on that idea.

I am 5'8" do you think its too tall for me?
its a good size once you have some experience but first starting out, say you never ridden a bike you are going to drop it a bit
I got this for my beginner bike I’m 5’ 9” and it’s perfect, haven’t dropped it once and it’s so light weight I couldn’t be more impressed with the klx250s.
Im 5'3" u can adjust the bike to fit u
WR250R tho
How tall are you?
im 6ft 1
And some riders just ride what they have.
You think?
You know why Landcruisers last so long? Because they're deliberately underpowered.
If I sell my ass will I be able to afford one of these ?
300 things I like about klx 250...
So The KLX is not that fast huh
ehh when you say fast....it depends. open roads yeah it can be fast lol. but since I ride in Colorado and a lot of our trails are steep inclines and rocky/technical its more of a power/gearing thing
Is this in Arizona or new Mexico?
This is actually Colorado! but south colorado ha ha. we have different terrains out here lol
Im so confused right now, Im tossed between Honda Crf250l and klx250, begginer rider, with 6"tall and 190lbs. One video says Honda other Kawa...
klx250 is more offroad oriented the crf250l is more on road. both are pretty gutless and need to be revved out to get some good speed. crf250 is heavier which makes it more comfortable for the road. both can do trails fine. if you are a new rider, either will do and you will get a feel once you start riding for quite some time.
What, and add up to anther 100 pounds for all your wish lists?
Lmao yeah because a klx250 will weigh 400 lbs if they come out with a 350 or 450....just like the 701 enduro right? Just because you add a bigger cylinder and bigger piston does not make it weigh 100 lbs LOL. thats why the drz400 weighs 400 lbs or even the KTM 500 weighs 400 lbs right? use your logic
Ludeman, How will it weigh an extra 100 lbs if it was a klx350? they already sell bigbore kits that make it a 351. you make no sense. a bunch of us want the klx250 to really be like a 350 or so
Older or newer the bike is a bear
Why is it underpowered? Because it's not a KLX450, cheapskate. You CAN soup it up you know.
yes I can add mods to it. cheap skate? not really. I already own a te250i husky, 701 enduro, drz400, KDX200, tenere 700, cb500x. do I plan on upgrading the KLX250, of course! im kind of happy this bike was gutless when I first started learning. it allowed me to gain confidence. so there is always a give or take
1:57 your klx is slow asf lol
