a lot of people have pointed out that Vegas is physically dominant over Pete but Pete is emotionally dominant over Vegas and I just think that is so true especially in those last seconds. When you see Pete with that big smile on his face once he smiles you can see Vegas's smirk/smile drop. Almost like he feels like he's screwed because he sees himself actually feeling for someone. in my opinion I really think vegaspete is the most complex and dynamic pairing in the show. They are really killing it for real. biblebuild are phenomenal.

Even though Vegas and Pete's screentime is short, I can see that the directors were able to get the gist of their relationship, in a way which is on par or better than the novel. Unlike the novel, there's consent with their first time (I am so glad they removed the r*** part of the novel.) I am thankful for BOC for choosing Bible and Build to be Vegas and Pete.
So idk if i am goin overboard but I think the color of the lights in the room was not random and it has meaning. So according to colour theory:-
1. Yellow : the room was first yellow when pete was first there. Although yellow is a happy color. It always symbolises fear and cowardice. Which would make sense as pete was scared.
2. Green: the light was green and yellow when pete was talking about his abusive father and telling vegas, he gets him. Green symbolises growth and change which is so apparant in vegas after pete said it was not them but their fathers who were losers.
3 Purple: it means bravery, pride and wisdom. Idk exactly why purple but it maybe because pete was brave to stay and wise to let vegas know he is not alone? Idk exactly lol.
Blue: its for saddness yeah but it also is for pure soul. And pete being both and idk if its a far stretch but we can see the blue light fall on vegas face and not the purple. Idk why
Just a fact : vegas was wearing white since that deep talk with pete and it means he is a clean slate and a start of a new life.
I hope it doesn't just seem like nonsense ❤️
re: the purple, i believe it's because vegas' color is red (the torture room, blood etc), and pete's is blue, so purple symbolises their colors finally blending together
That's very good reaching there, I'm glad some of you have picked up on this point. In the novel all of these points that have been expressed through colours are a lot more clearly shown thought their points of view.
If I hadn't read the novel I would have been fine with VagasPete but I feel so much was lost from what was happening in Pete's mind and the reasoning behind him wanting to flee but staying.
Then from how Vagas was so fascinated by Pete outlook on life that it drove him to love him.
This VagaPete wasn't so brutal or pitiful as the book. Which I do like. I just don't think everyone will pick up on the beautifully used colours they used to describe their emotions.

I’ve read a post on twitter that in the VegasPete relationship, Vegas is dominating Pete PHYSICALLY but Pete is dominating Vegas EMOTIONALLY because there are different ways to dominate. Somehow it sounds quite right.
When Vegas told Pete, “you like it when I’m like this”, “when I get moody” Vegas is describing the moments when he gets rattled/emotional. Like when he told Pete that his plan was ruined because of him and Pete SMILED. I somehow feel that Vegas might have a point there
You know what Topher it never really clicked to me but you are so right even though Kinn and Porsche do have constant ups and downs in their relationship especially considering the life they live they do talk about the issues as soon as they can and actively try to work on it and I can appreciate that. Most BL drags it out and usually the issue is so trivial that it doesn't to go beyond the same episode but in this we have people trying to kill, manipulate, kidnap etc and yet these 2 talk hell even Vegas kidnapping Pete and torturing they talk about shit that matters.

Bible and Build is such a great actors, they really doing a great job portraying their characters.
so many things in this episode!i do think vegas left the keys by accident. he is spiraling. already dealing with abuse in his life, now he is isolated on top of that. plus i think pete offering up alternative perspectives has him all messed up. as for pete leaving (or not in this case) i think he likes the pain a little and recognizes that in him (and i think vegas finally recognizes it in him as well). i think back to that episode where vegas tortures the guy for the main family and he comes up with an inner ear bone or whatever. he's looking at the bone and pete is looking at vegas and everyone else looks sick. i also think it is interesting that vegas, who is LITERALLY torturing pete, draws the line with consent and so has a better consent track record than kinn at this point. finally, i think chay's friends are probably responding to him in an age appropriate way. how emotionally mature are most 19 year olds? if you don't have the emotional range then booze it is. as far as kim...his actions are inconsistent. he slept over and they cuddled. he almost bailed but then saved chay but left before chay knew he was there. when chay confronted him about being the 3rd son he left him standing (crying), stopped their lessons AND THEN he decides to save the day. chay has every right to need words- and more importantly, for words and actions to align. also...love your connection to avatar- i definitely see the parallels (and agree with you that that whole scene was not really in character for porsche- he was distraught after killing a man who was actually a danger to him so...)
I'm so SO thankful to the series for making VP consensual from the beginning. I just can't imagine how pete could be in love with someone who repeatedly sexually assault him. This way it's more acceptable logically to me.
actually, as sick as it sounds, lots of victims of sexual abuse end up falling for their abuser. Of course, it's not real love but more a twisted dependency on the abuser. That's why for some victims, it can take a while for them to fully realise they are a victim and need to get away. So it wouldn't be necessarily out of the norm for a SA victim if that scenario had played out on screen between VegasPete.
But to be safe, I think the writers did the right thing in making it not only consensual, but making Pete the one to initiate it.

I mean, Vegas still captured, tortured, and abused Pete both physically and emotionally. Even if it wasn't rape like in the novel, it's still pretty fucked.

@@heemissi8932 yes. Another interesting aspect of this dynamic for me is that Pete is actually a lot more mentally and emotionally tougher than Vegas, even though Vegas on first appearance looks to be the dominant one. Pete actually has the real dominance because you can't easily break his mind.
This makes me wonder if Pete is playing a long game, his own form of reverse manipulation on Vegas, like earning Vegas' trust and then flipping it on him. Would be an interesting twist.
They did great with the play of colors in this series. It's been established from previous episodes that Vegas is Red, Pete is somewhat Bluish green. In episode 11 we see the Red background lighting during the torture scene. Here we see Purplish light around Vegas because that's the resulting color if you introduce a Blue hue to any Red color. This represents how Pete has been getting into him, that Pete had significant effect on Vegas.
I agreed with so many of the comments Vegas/Pete have such a unique relationship. From the get go I realized that Pete has a soft spot for Vegas jyst by the way he speaks about him to Porshe. I think that's because he knows what Vegas has to go through with his father and proving himself being in the minor family. Vegas has a soft spot for Pete as well from the way he looks at him when he's not looking and how he always touches him when they are close to eachother.
The director said that Kinnporsche is not going to have just one season so that means a Season 2!!!! but, that means this season may end on a cliffhanger : ( Also TimeTay, the couple that Tay said that Porsche is lucky to have Kinn, in the novel Time cheats on Tae a lot and Tay knows but chooses to ignore it because he genuinely loves Tay. In I believe episode three where everyone is clubbing, TimeTay were the couple where Time had his arm Tay, dancing and then Time was flirting with Porsches friend by smiling and rubbing his hands on the friends body, also, you could see that Tay noticed, yet looked away. I don't think was a spoiler since they showed multiple times of the struggles of TimeTay relationship in the beginning of the series.

I recently found you and I must say, I really love your tone of voice and how you speak in general. Really pleasant on the ears.

Soooo I have a theory that I've been thinking about recently. I think the whole thing with the hedgehog was a set-up to test Pete. Before Vegas leaves the room with his hedgehog, he tells Pete that no one else is here except them. He then runs out and leaves the key behind. As Topher said, Vegas isn't stupid. He wouldn't just let it drop that the place isn't guarded or drop the key to Pete's handcuffs on accident. It was purposeful.
Afterwards he starts telling his story about how his father had him raise hedgehogs "since little". Now either this translation means "since the hedgehogs were little" or "since Vegas was little". If it's the former, then that makes sense. If it's the latter, then that's bullshit because hedgehogs don't live that long. They have a lifespan of about 3-7 years. To say that one of the hedgehogs managed to survive into Vegas' adulthood, either Vegas is telling a bullshit story...or the writers did zero research on hedgehogs. But it would add fuel to the theory of Vegas setting this all up. Who knows, the hedgehog might not even be dead. After all, all we see is a bundle of white cloth (not that I want to see a hedgehog corpse...).
Past episodes have made it pretty clear that Vegas is a master manipulator. He knows exactly what to say and do to get people to do what he wants. I don't doubt at all that Vegas is way more interested in Pete than he was in Porsche or Tawan, but I doubt that manipulative aspect of his character would change just because of Pete. Vegas does want Pete, but he wants him to submit and give in to him. I mean, he says so himself. When Pete pulls him in for a kiss, Vegas has this big grin that to me looked pretty devious, as if he's saying "Got him!"
Anyway, that's my theory!
Just finished watching episode 13 well lets just say prepare those tissues because I didn't have enough, honestly one of the most emotional episodes.

And yes I agree. Pete does enjoy some pain, but it doesn’t make what Vegas did ok. I still can’t believe how incredibly it all was filmed. The lighting is so specific for Pete and Vegas scenes. The lighting colors change as their relationship develops.
As for the logic behind the "gift" from Korn, the picture of the man who presumably killed Porshe's parents, I have several ideas. First one is maybe Korn just guessed Porshe wouldn't kill him judging from what he knows about his personality, and he's smart and surely well informed on what's going on in his family, especially regarding Kinn. So it was like a "good will" and peace offer from his part but kinda safe one too.
Another idea is maybe in Korn's logic anyone who had a chance to revenge their parents' murderer would do that, and killing ppl is not a big deal at all for him. Also let's not forget that time has passed, and Porshe who couldn't bear seeing a man beaten and was really upset about killing him involuntary then successfully joined Vegas for the mission against Italians and killed a bunch of them with no hesitation as well as ppl who attacked Kinn in ep 6. He's maybe not enjoying doing it but got used to it somehow. So even if he didn't hold this grudge for his whole life now when it's materialized and Porsche is already in sort of grey area about laws and morals, it's not too big of a stretch from Korn to think he could kill this man if he thought he deserved it.
Or maybe he used uncle as well and has some bigger plan that we will know about later thanks to Kim's info? Idk and I'm really looking forward to this Saturday.
I just realised something watching your reaction... The uncle kept saying that Porche can't trust anyone from the main family - but I wonder if that means, that he thinks we can/should trust the minor family?? 🤔
My interpretation of the colors in the VegasPete scenes is, that from the get go they have been using red (for Vegas) and green (for Pete), which are on opposite side of the complementary color chart, of course symbolizing Vegas and Pete in opposition of each other. But after the hedgehog dying and Pete does't leave, the colors change to purple and blue, which are right next to each other on the color chart, meaning that they have moved closer to each other emotionally. But still there is this hint of the orange spot light next to Vegas purple, and orange is the complement (opposite) coloer of purple; meaning that even though he's been through a change, he still has a deep seeded "split personality" (not used as a clinical term) - so I am interested to see if they're gonna become "one" color as some point, meaning that they've essentially merges together. That's how I interpret it anyway 😊
I was very suprised at how "tender" the s*x was, from what I've been told, I was expecting it to be a little more hardcore - but I get that they've probably toned it down for TV. I really loved that moment before Pete kisses Vegas, the way Vegas is egging him on. I watched the scene in half speed, and Pete is so turn on, so willing to give into Vegas if he would have kissed him, and his is so dissapointed when Vegas pulls back. So intense! To me, the s*xiest part of it all was Pete licking his upper arm - he was so ready and electrified! 🥵
And also the eye contact, as you say, it just levels up the intimacy - which is why we all loved Syn&Nuea from Cutie Pie, because their eye contact was just as s*xy and intimate as what ever Lian&Kuea or Yi&Diao were doing "in bed" 😉
I think the Uncle was leaking information to Vegas for payment. That how he knew that Porsche wanted a Bar on the beach. Kinn was telling the Porsche the same thing about the minor family.

i don't think Porsche reaction was out of character, his parents death affected his life so much...he has to take care of his brother, his only family, beside Chay it's his uncle an he is a piece of garbage...he gotta make money and he talks about them and how deeply wounded he is when him and Kinn are on the pier...and i don't think it's out of character because Porsche is a very instinctive person. I believe he wouldn't have done it even if the little girl didn't show up, but what i really liked about the scene was the character development we have from both Kinn and Porsche. Old Kinn would have taken care of the situation himself, but he wants Porsche to realize that killing that man it's not the answer, but he also knows how stubborn Porsche is, so he lets him "experience" it because talking to him wouldn't have mattered. Porsche on the other side is FINALLY able to let himself go. The way he hugs Kinn and finally cries it's so damn touching. He probably never let himself grieve because he needed to be strong for his brother, but now he can finally rely on someone else. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but that's what Apo's acting made me feel.

You talking about eye contact being intimate is awesome. I think that's one of the best things you can do when making a tv show. To cause the correct tension, emotions, your eyes are so important, and having characters stare at each other especially during sexual moments is very important. And it makes your viewers feel it more.

More than love, trauma can also make you do some stupid sht, and that poor boy is traumatized and has no proper support system to deal with everything (bless Porsche, but he hasn't been all that present in Chay's life as of late)
Might be over-reaching, but I am amused by Vegas and Pete's blood types. Vegas, AB, universal recipient, taking everybody's crap since birth. Pete, O, universal donor, just giving and giving and giving, and the only one who eventually puts up with Vegas' crap and gives him the love he needs. I am not on board that ship at all. However, anybody that was going to be there for Vegas was going to have to get over this massive obstacle of Vegas lashing out, in order to get to the emotion on the inside. Poor Vegas though. I do want to give him a hug, especially after the hedgehog.
For Kinn's friend, we have seen glimpses of what is going on with them all along. The light-haired guy seems to be fully in this relationship, but we have seen that the dark-haired guy is not. For example, the night that they are all at Yok's back in like episode 3, he is flirting with one of Porsche's friends. So, I feel like light hair has just been trapped in this unrequited love.

Dude I’m so frustrated with kinn and Porsche’s first sexual encounter being nonconsensual for Porsche. Like dude was just roofied?!?
While Vegas is a complex character I still don't ship him and Pete. Not because of the BDSM of it all, but to me it feels incredibly rushed. Also I feel there is an element of emotional manipulation with regard to Vegas. Like all of a sudden because we found out he has been and continues to be abused we're supposed to forgive and forget that drugged and was about to r@pe Porsche to piss Kinn off. Or that he walks around with a torture kit (i.e. the Ice Man a serial killer or Israel Keys also a serial killer). Or that in episode 10 we heard him tell two different people he loved them in order to get what he wanted from them. Or that one of the men he told he loved he'd been manipulating for years. And then when Vegas was done with him straight up shot him in the chest. Him being with Pete is supposed to redeem him. However, redemption is something earned not given. Vegas hasn't earned it. And it shouldn't be given to him simply because he's with Pete.
Chay giving Porsche that extra little hug to me was his way of apologizing to his big brother for what he was about to do. He knows this is Porsche's dream for him. However, what I don't think Chjay understand is that it's only Porsche's dream for him because Porsche thinks it's Chay's dream for himself.
When it comes to Kim he needs to stop sending Chay mixed messages. I understand why he distanced himself from Chay and I have no problem with that. However, Chay is young, easily hurt and confused. And he's acting out. Kim doing what he did by coming to the club and pulling him away only makes things worse because all it has done it make Chay even more hurt and confused. Either Kim needs to come clean with Chay or leave him alone.
Mr. Korn for the first time make a really stupid move. Because we now know he knew Porsche's family. which means he knows the uncle. How could he tell such a lie without taking care of the uncle first to ensure his lie was covered. My theory as to why Porsche is important to Mr. Korn and Mr. Kan is that either Porsche's mother or father was raised with them as a sibling, because I don't' think there is a blood relation between them.
What I love about Kinn and Porsche is that they've found a sense of peace in each other. They are messy ans hell, but they've found confront in each other and we've seen that develop over the entire season, not just crammed haphazardly into 2 episodes. The question right now is if Porsche will tell Kinn about the picture and his father's lie. Since there are two episodes left I'm guessing he won't because we haven't yet gotten that scene from the trailer where they are holding guns on each other and Porsche says he's not on anyone's side he's on Kinn's side. So yeah, next episode is going to be a lot.
This isn't a redemption story and I think you might be viewing this through the lens that they are trying to redeem vegas to make him "worthy" to be with innocent pete. When in reality these are broken characters who will become whole together. Vegas shouldn't be redeemed, Pete is not innocent he works for the mafia and has beaten, killed, and done god knows what else despite his goofy veneer. Remember when pete was the only person to not look away during vegas torture scene and also beat up that dude with no problem and then told porchse things are not black and white? Also, there is some subtle imagery to their relationship I don't think you are picking up on that is making this relationship look one-sided when in reality it has been hinted on multiple times that pete sees the real vegas ugly side and manipulation and all and has actually been manipulating vegas this entire time ie. the loud yelling of condom scene or the secret door scene which were pete purposefully acting goofy to establish a connection with Vegas, getting vegas to drop his layers just by giving him 2 minutes of therapy and using the story about dads which was actually a double play to manipulate vegas into treating Pete better by implying he is doing to pete what his dad does to him without actually saying it. Would not be surprised if Pete plays this game a little longer and then knocks him up the head when he is least expecting it then takes intel back lol.
as the person above has excellently explained, Vegas' story isn't about redemption. He is damaged, period. And so is Pete to an extent because you have to have some level of cold-bloodedness to make it as one of the top bodyguards of the main *mafia* family.
But what most people seem to conveniently ignore is the fact that 'innocent' Pete isn't actually innocent. For goodness sake, he's a mafia guard and head of the bodyguards. He has coldly killed, tortured and beaten people himself. Just because he laughs and looks friendly doesn't mean he is somehow better than Vegas.
They are both dark, they just present their darkness in different ways.
Their relationship isn't about redemption, but two broken people finding solace in each other. And that's why they are infinitely more intriguing and interesting to watch for me.
I personally really hope they continue to keep Vegas' psycho personality even after love. I would hate for them to turn this dark character into a wet blanket like they did to Kinn after he got with Porsche.
@@doreeneb Where in my post did you or anyone see that I think Pete is innocent. He's a bodyguard in the mob. He's beaten, and killed people. He himself basically there are no heroes or villains. It's not that I think Pete is innocent, I just don't ship him with Vegas. I wouldn't ship Vegas with anyone. Yes he's broken, yes he's violent, but they all are to a certain degree. Even Porsche. Vegas being broken excuses absolutely nothing he does. It explains a lot. But having reasons for his actions and excusing them are two different things.

Although porsche and chay suffered in the past they had a nice spacious house that their parents left for them (the first ep chay thought of selling the house so that they can pay all the debt) the house is obv worth more than what they could have had in the past

tbh i think the death of Porsche's parents had always affected him, he had to work hard to provide for his brother and so he didnt have a childhood where he can relax and have fun ,instead he had a lot of responsibilites at a young age, the reason of why he wanted to take revenge in this ep and not before its because in the past he didnt have any clue about who killed his parents, the case was never solved and he coudnt revenge when he dont know who killed them ,but now when Kinn's dad told him who did it he wanted to go after that person , but im glad he didnt end up shooting that person because yeah its a never ending circle. and i also think Kinn's dad was lying and that person is not the one who killed them. just my theory but i think Kinn's dad is the one who killed them and he was close to them but we dont know what relationship he had exactly with Porsche's parents, maybe they were friends but he loved Porsche's mom and things got complicated there

If you haven't yet reccomend reading vegasxpete chapter from the novel HUGE TRIGGER WARNINGS WAY MORE PROBLAMETIC THEN IN THE SHOW (especially before this scene) but it gives more background more scenes and has vegas pov which adds more to his thoughts/character

I hated the Vegas/Pete storyline but Pete just showed me he’s THE MAN! He’s a good guy and honorable and deserves so much better than Vegas❤️
I don't think Porsche`s mom had an affair with Kinn's dad. What Kim said to Big a few episodes earlier was meant as a joke.
Maybe Porsche`s parents were business partners with the main family and to do business with the mafia is rarely somethin good.
In the book porches mom and kinns dad are adopted sister and brother.

Yes it is to prevent the video being blocked on TH-cam. If a reactor gets a couple copyright strikes they can lose their channel. So get over yourself.
