I think when Porsche got offered the water he was not gonna drink it cause you can see on his face he looked hesitant but the when he looked over at kinn (while kinn was smiling at him), he probably thought kinn was the one that ordered the drink for him. So this why I'm worried for episode 5 as when Porsche wakes up he might think this was all kinn's plan. I'm so worried!

Mafia is always two-sides coin with violence and loyalty. Let's wait the romantic aspects such as consensus kiss and sex later. I can understand your concern about non-consensus sex as I watched your reaction on History4, because I felt that too. But the context of the story is defferent between History4 and KinnPorsche.
I honestly don't think Porsche getting drugged was his fault this time. As far as he knew, that glass of water was just water. But even then, he was hesitant to drink it. It wasn't until he made eye contact with Kinn and gestured towards the glass, to which Kinn responded with a smile and a nod that Porsche decided to drink. Porsche interpreted it as a go ahead from his boss to drink the water, but Kinn was just trying to appear more friendly like his friends suggested.
i was thinking that porsche bringing up the kiss at the pier made kinn think the drug wasn't affecting him that much, like he thought that was confirmation that porsche did want him. don't get me wrong, i'm not excusing kinn's action and as the sober person, he should know better and be more responsible, but these characters don't think the way we do. i just hope unlike other bls it gets addressed at least a little bit.

First for something light. The whole thing about kissing is significant because as we see in this episode Kinn doesn't kiss. So Pete telling Porsche that we save that for someone we really like is important because it makes Porsche stand out in Kinn's world. It also plays into what happens later in the episode. While I understand where you are coming from when it comes to consent, I think we have to stop viewing Kinn and Porsche through the lens of our moral standards. I say that because while being a BL, that's not all this is. This is set in a world where in the very first episode our introduction to Kinn is him killing someone without batting an eye. We see him kidnap Porsche, fight with him, and shoot at him all in the name of trying to get him to be his bodyguard. The episode before this one we saw Porsche himself shoot and kill someone. The social, moral and ethical cues are completely different in this world. This is a world of criminals, where consent is viewed differently because said cues. If you watch closely in the bathroom scene Kinn is emotionally and physically trying to control himself. He's spent most of the episode trying to sus out not only what Porsche remembers, but how he feels about it. Once again while impaired Porsche is having a conversation with Kinn and being flirtatious as well, it confuses Kinn which is why he's trying to control himself. But once Porsche talks about knowing Kinn likes him (because he kissed him and he now knows Kinn doesn't kiss) and he mentions the kiss on the pier being the reason he knows Kinn likes him, for Kinn that is consent. In his mind he's not taking advantage of Porsche because he 's just heard Porsche say he knows he likes him. Not only that but after being kissed by Kinn, Porsche doesn't pull away, instead he pulls Kinn in for a deeper kiss to in essence show Kinn a "real" kiss. Also, the audience is shown before this Porsche's reaction to Vegas being on top of him. He's scared and tries to fight back. And in the bathroom he is in far more control of himself and his faculties than he was on the bed with Vegas. I believe they showed us that deliberately to show that had Porsche wanted to he could have fought Kinn off or at least would have been more capable of trying to do so.
Ehhhh i wouldn't use Kinn "trying to resist as a "good" example. No matter what its a drugged person and a sober person. Additionally i would say it's worse that Porsche was so relax because it was Kinn, meaning it was someone he trusted.

Yep this show is angst galore. These dysfunctional broken people and the world around them. 😵💫 The storyarc is at times dark and twisted but I did not expect anything else with this series. Episode 5 was gut-wrenching at times.
To make it clear, Vegas and Pete are the side couple, but in the novel before that relationship, Vegas takes a special interest in Pete so you're not wrong in thinking that Vegas and Pete are supposed to be a thing.

For me, the highlight of this episode is Wik/Kim and Porchay, they are adorable, they look cute together, I'm so excited for their storyline. I was sad too that their first kiss and their first seggs if Porsche is influenced by alcohol and drugs, I really didn't find it romantic, but there's some details from the novel aren't presented in the series very well. Each episode, this series is getting darker and darker, and I getting excited because I think they are closer and closer for the hype that KinnPorshe has given to us. Exactly! Not put romantic music over it with color grading. If he’s a vicious gangster then he goes ahead and r*pes him and you show it as a r*pe. No equivocation and no both-sides-ing it. They are mobsters. There is no way in hell they would have ever thought to take him to a hospital . The episode before this one Porsche shot and killed someone. This isn't the first time such a situ has been handled in film, not even in BL and they're many just on gangsters/mafia stories alone that did a much better job than this. They could've done research on better quality BLs for a start, of which there are thousands in various formats from at least 7 main Asian producing countries. People came for the sexual assaults and the violence, they didn't expect slipshod work too.

I highly disagree only on 1 Point: Kinn throwing out everyone to care for Porsche himself. 1.) Kinn doesn't trust ANYONE, so of course he doesn't want them around Porsche when he is vulnerable 2.) Porsche beeing this vulnerable in front of them could be really bad for him, if they think he is weak then he could be attacked more often 3.) Personally, I would HATE beeing seen by that many people when I'm drugged and helpless, every single person seeing me like that would feel like further humiliation and shit... That thought is actually kind of triggering for me
The thing about this is that that part ison the novel and they couldn't leave that sex part out because it is the most important part for kinnporsche. Also the drama is way better than the novel, it is way better done. I think this scene is worse than than anything that happens in TharnType with the main couple. I had a hard time accepting that he actually SA Porsche especially when they show how he feels the next day. It made me very sad for him.

i actually didn't know much about this series other than it was based on the mafia so i was absolutely not prepared for anything that happened 🥲i was shook af that every time something intimate happened, one or both of them were intoxicated in some way. i watch reaction videos as i watch the series so i haven't gotten to episode 5 yet but i'm waiting for the day they kiss without being inebriated 😗

That sex scene plays very differently in the series and in the novel... It was actually very toned down in the series, the novel is more "graphic" and very detailed... But what the novel specifically points out in that sex scene that I think the series could have done a little bit better is stating out the consent factor because the novel is very clear that the sex scene is consensual... To summarize this scene in the novel very quickly, when Kinn found Porsche in that state, Porsche demanded Kinn to find him someone he can have sex with... So Kinn was about to rush to find him a woman but Porsche insisted that he needs it "right now"... Kinn still insists to find him a girl but Porsche wants it very badly... Kinn put two and two together but he said to Porsche that he don't do drugged or drunk people... But Porsche again insisted and he said that he's aware of what he's doing and he specifically mentioned that the drug is out of his system... So Kinn, at the heat of that moment, gave in to temptation and thus, the sex scene... But even though he said he's aware, Porsche got mentally fucked up in the next few chapters of the novel about what happened between him and Kinn.. It took him a while to get back into his senses... I think episode 5 really did a very good job on exploring the after effects of that sex scene between Kinn and Porsche... It's not glorifying it but it really showed that what happened is not okay...

Well after our small "discussion" on TharnType ep 2, you know I had to comment on this 😅 My point in that whole discussion was the double standards with which we judge these shows - and I think you put it so well here, when you say that you WANT to enjoy the visuals of these two hot sexy guys getting to know each other, but the fact that Porche is drugged (it reminded me of History 4 as well) really do take away from that pleasure. And I agree, but the thing is, despite that, I think if we are all being completly honest 90% of us has actually gotten back to watch the scene again despite the obvious problem with it - meaning that we're sometimes willing to overlook those problems, because the scene or the actors are hot. And so that's where the double standards come in play! BeOnCloud actually released a statement on Twitter about the affects of GHB, what it is, how it works, that people who have been drugged can't actually consent, and that people who have sex etc with others under the influence is commiting sexual assault. And I LOVE that they actually put that out there! 👍 And yes the shipping of Kim&Porche should begin about now. Actually Gameplay (who plays with Jeff in Ingredients, love that show!) was suppose to play Porchay, but because of scheduels it wasn't possible for him. Consent is always good. If you have a partner that feels the same you're golden. Now with that being said, these people are living in a dangerous world. Mafia are usually not the type of group that ask for consent. As bad as that sounds it's the truth. I don't know how some fans can be more mad at Kinn than Vegas. Vegas drugged Porsche and was going to rape him purposely because of his hatred for Kinn. Kinn did the best in my eyes and tried his best to fight his urges when the drugs started taking effect. At certain points, Porsche seemed to come out of it especially with the kiss comment at the pier and he'll show Kinn a real kiss. And that could have been enough for Kinn. It's a situation that can be debated for a very long time.

A little background. Porsche wasn't drunk. He was under the influence of an aphrodisiac. He was extremely and uncomfortably horny. This is all in the novel, but the series doesn't give the whole story, and I was disappointed. He begged Kinn to find him a woman or take him to a brothel, so he was going to have sex with somebody. When finding a woman wasn't going to happen, he begged Kinn to "take care" of him. Kinn suggested he take care of himself, and Porsche explained he tried, but he needed another person, and he needed Kinn, and told Kinn he was well aware of what he was asking. The drug had him all hot and bothered, and he couldn't "sleep it off". I'm all for consent...definitely. But for ME, this is a case of assisting a person in need. If Porsche had asked me to have sex with him, because he needed release, I would have taken care of him, as I'm a benevolent person, by nature....Lol.
I saw some novel readers saying that in the novel, it was Kinn who insisted on "helping" Porsche by having sex with him and Porsche was against it because he wanted a women instead. People were saying that scene was much worse in the novel because Porsche actively didn't want it.
I'm going with the translation I read, because based on everything else considered, it supports my theory better. But that's just me. I think he is blown away over his attraction to Kinn. It doesn't feel like what's he's used to, and I think he's experiencing a lot of turmoil...conflict about his sexuality. I think SOME people go thru their whole life as "happy heterosexuals", and they come across a person of the same sex, and it's like a light switch comes on, and it freaks them out, because they no longer know what they thought they knew. It think that's Porsche. When he tried to have sex with a woman, and couldn't, because he kept thinking about Kinn, that was because he wanted that woman to be Kinn, not because he felt like he was violated. Again, this is my take..I could be wrong. When he met with Kinn at the house, after he'd spent the evening with friends, and Kinn warns him again about befriending Vegas, and he says "He hasn't harmed me...". I don't think he was talking about being sexually violated. I think he was hurt about how Kinn treated him, AFTER they had sex. Kinn punished him and distanced himself, and Porsche was crushed. When he looked him, that was a "I adore you. How could you distance yourself from me" look. When Kinn claimed ownership of Porsche and that he could do what he wanted, Porsche says "Go ahead do it", and you can tell he was waiting for a kiss, and got curved and told he was being replaced, and he was visibly upset about thatl. When Kinn showed up at his house, he told Kinn "You don't care about me..." Porsche is smitten....and so is Kinn. Now I'm all for consensual sex, but this is a Mafia love story, not a typical, school campus Thai bl, like like 90% of them. We all were warned. I definitely recommend a person doesn't watch anymore, because Vegas and Pete? A whole mess - like "Stockholm Syndrome" level mess.
Not to sure on that last point. Regardless Porsche is drugged, unable to give his full. Take him to the med bay, sobber him up, heck give him a toy. There were other options that wouldn't involve touching him.

Porsche interpreted it as a go ahead from his boss to drink the water, but Kinn was just trying to appear more friendly like his friends suggested.
i was thinking that porsche bringing up the kiss at the pier made kinn think the drug wasn't affecting him that much, like he thought that was confirmation that porsche did want him. don't get me wrong, i'm not excusing kinn's action and as the sober person, he should know better and be more responsible, but these characters don't think the way we do. i just hope unlike other bls it gets addressed at least a little bit.

I waited patiently for this reaction because I knew what you would say when I watched it initially. I was like" ohhh Topher is going to have feelings about this"
First for something light. The whole thing about kissing is significant because as we see in this episode Kinn doesn't kiss. So Pete telling Porsche that we save that for someone we really like is important because it makes Porsche stand out in Kinn's world. It also plays into what happens later in the episode.
While I understand where you are coming from when it comes to consent, I think we have to stop viewing Kinn and Porsche through the lens of our moral standards. I say that because while being a BL, that's not all this is. This is set in a world where in the very first episode our introduction to Kinn is him killing someone without batting an eye. We see him kidnap Porsche, fight with him, and shoot at him all in the name of trying to get him to be his bodyguard. The episode before this one we saw Porsche himself shoot and kill someone. The social, moral and ethical cues are completely different in this world. This is a world of criminals, where consent is viewed differently because said cues.
If you watch closely in the bathroom scene Kinn is emotionally and physically trying to control himself. He's spent most of the episode trying to sus out not only what Porsche remembers, but how he feels about it. Once again while impaired Porsche is having a conversation with Kinn and being flirtatious as well, it confuses Kinn which is why he's trying to control himself. But once Porsche talks about knowing Kinn likes him (because he kissed him and he now knows Kinn doesn't kiss) and he mentions the kiss on the pier being the reason he knows Kinn likes him, for Kinn that is consent. In his mind he's not taking advantage of Porsche because he 's just heard Porsche say he knows he likes him. Not only that but after being kissed by Kinn, Porsche doesn't pull away, instead he pulls Kinn in for a deeper kiss to in essence show Kinn a "real" kiss.
Also, the audience is shown before this Porsche's reaction to Vegas being on top of him. He's scared and tries to fight back. And in the bathroom he is in far more control of himself and his faculties than he was on the bed with Vegas. I believe they showed us that deliberately to show that had Porsche wanted to he could have fought Kinn off or at least would have been more capable of trying to do so.

Ehhhh i wouldn't use Kinn "trying to resist as a "good" example. No matter what its a drugged person and a sober person. Additionally i would say it's worse that Porsche was so relax because it was Kinn, meaning it was someone he trusted.

For me, the highlight of this episode is Wik/Kim and Porchay, they are adorable, they look cute together, I'm so excited for their storyline. I was sad too that their first kiss and their first seggs if Porsche is influenced by alcohol and drugs, I really didn't find it romantic, but there's some details from the novel aren't presented in the series very well. Each episode, this series is getting darker and darker, and I getting excited because I think they are closer and closer for the hype that KinnPorshe has given to us. Its the director and writers who committed a crime of poor workmanship. This isn't the first time such a situ has been handled in film, not even in BL and they're many just on gangsters/mafia stories alone that did a much better job than this. They could've done research on better quality BLs for a start, of which there are thousands in various formats from at least 7 main Asian producing countries.

I highly disagree only on 1 Point: Kinn throwing out everyone to care for Porsche himself.
1.) Kinn doesn't trust ANYONE, so of course he doesn't want them around Porsche when he is vulnerable
2.) Porsche beeing this vulnerable in front of them could be really bad for him, if they think he is weak then he could be attacked more often
3.) Personally, I would HATE beeing seen by that many people when I'm drugged and helpless, every single person seeing me like that would feel like further humiliation and shit... That thought is actually kind of triggering for me

I think this scene is worse than than anything that happens in TharnType with the main couple. I had a hard time accepting that he actually SA Porsche especially when they show how he feels the next day. It made me very sad for him.
I find it funny in a way and I have been watching bl’s for years but I’ve only been watching your reactions for probably the last six months.. That now as I go back and rewatch some of my favorites I am waiting for those checkmarks of consent and how far the newer Bl’a have come in the concept of consent.. and by the way I just want too say I love your makeup. That sex scene plays very differently in the series and in the novel... It was actually very toned down in the series, the novel is more "graphic" and very detailed... But what the novel specifically points out in that sex scene that I think the series could have done a little bit better is stating out the consent factor because the novel is very clear that the sex scene is consensual... To summarize this scene in the novel very quickly, when Kinn found Porsche in that state, Porsche demanded Kinn to find him someone he can have sex with... So Kinn was about to rush to find him a woman but Porsche insisted that he needs it "right now"... Kinn still insists to find him a girl but Porsche wants it very badly... Kinn put two and two together but he said to Porsche that he don't do drugged or drunk people... But Porsche again insisted and he said that he's aware of what he's doing and he specifically mentioned that the drug is out of his system... So Kinn, at the heat of that moment, gave in to temptation and thus, the sex scene... But even though he said he's aware, Porsche got mentally fucked up in the next few chapters of the novel about what happened between him and Kinn.. It took him a while to get back into his senses... I think episode 5 really did a very good job on exploring the after effects of that sex scene between Kinn and Porsche... It's not glorifying it but it really showed that what happened is not okay...
I really wished we would have gotten this version instead. It would have been so much better

Well after our small "discussion" on TharnType ep 2, you know I had to comment on this 😅 My point in that whole discussion was the double standards with which we judge these shows - and I think you put it so well here, when you say that you WANT to enjoy the visuals of these two hot sexy guys getting to know each other, but the fact that Porche is drugged (it reminded me of History 4 as well) really do take away from that pleasure. And I agree, but the thing is, despite that, I think if we are all being completly honest 90% of us has actually gotten back to watch the scene again despite the obvious problem with it - meaning that we're sometimes willing to overlook those problems, because the scene or the actors are hot. And so that's where the double standards come in play!
BeOnCloud actually released a statement on Twitter about the affects of GHB, what it is, how it works, that people who have been drugged can't actually consent, and that people who have sex etc with others under the influence is commiting sexual assault. And I LOVE that they actually put that out there! 👍
And yes the shipping of Kim&Porche should begin about now. Actually Gameplay (who plays with Jeff in Ingredients, love that show!) was suppose to play Porchay, but because of scheduels it wasn't possible for him. Honestly, I was hoping that Jinn would realize what he was doing and would stop...but that wasn't the case. I'm not saying I hate Jinns character (I mean, is it wrong to say my fave character is Vegas since he's fine as hell😂) but yes, this is how their story starts in the novel and it's way worse in the novel then in the series.

The first time I watched this, I thought Kinn wanted to help Porsche by himself because he cared. But now, I am watching it on a binge and I remember Kinn pointing out that he has an insider betraying him, so they may also be trying to portray that he does not want to leave Porsche in anybody else's hands right now, even if they are right where he can see them. Or maybe he is just shook and not thinking logically.
Consent is always good. If you have a partner that feels the same you're golden. Now with that being said, these people are living in a dangerous world. Mafia are usually not the type of group that ask for consent. As bad as that sounds it's the truth. I don't know how some fans can be more mad at Kinn than Vegas. Vegas drugged Porsche and was going to rape him purposely because of his hatred for Kinn. Kinn did the best in my eyes and tried his best to fight his urges when the drugs started taking effect. At certain points, Porsche seemed to come out of it especially with the kiss comment at the pier and he'll show Kinn a real kiss. And that could have been enough for Kinn. It's a situation that can be debated for a very long time.

People! This is a show/novel! Not real life. Yes, it happens in real life and that sucks, but this is fake and not happening to real people but characters. Try not to be so butt hurt of over things that are allowed in a fantasy world of any kind. That is the whole point of books and TV... to explore what we can't in real life. You don't have to like it, but stop putting it down for reasons that have no effect on a fantasy world.

Honestly consent and sometimes even plain homophobia is a big issue in BL series which seem to happen A LOT, and thankfully recent series have been better in that regard but as for the consent, you’re NOT gonna find that in this show😂 And to fair its to be expected when talking about a mafia show of all things, there no way they could keep the dark theme while still making it all rainbows and sunshine. I have been having words over and over again with folks that keep trying to justify the rape because it was so toned down from the novel. And I just can't understand how changing it from a more violent rape to a less violent rape makes it any less rape.

A little background. Porsche wasn't drunk. He was under the influence of an aphrodisiac. He was extremely and uncomfortably horny. This is all in the novel, but the series doesn't give the whole story, and I was disappointed.
He begged Kinn to find him a woman or take him to a brothel, so he was going to have sex with somebody. When finding a woman wasn't going to happen, he begged Kinn to "take care" of him. Kinn suggested he take care of himself, and Porsche explained he tried, but he needed another person, and he needed Kinn, and told Kinn he was well aware of what he was asking. The drug had him all hot and bothered, and he couldn't "sleep it off".
I'm all for consent...definitely. But for ME, this is a case of assisting a person in need. If Porsche had asked me to have sex with him, because he needed release, I would have taken care of him, as I'm a benevolent person, by nature....Lol.

I saw some novel readers saying that in the novel, it was Kinn who insisted on "helping" Porsche by having sex with him and Porsche was against it because he wanted a women instead. People were saying that scene was much worse in the novel because Porsche actively didn't want it.
I'm going with the translation I read, because based on everything else considered, it supports my theory better. But that's just me. I think he is blown away over his attraction to Kinn. It doesn't feel like what's he's used to, and I think he's experiencing a lot of turmoil...conflict about his sexuality. I think SOME people go thru their whole life as "happy heterosexuals", and they come across a person of the same sex, and it's like a light switch comes on, and it freaks them out, because they no longer know what they thought they knew. It think that's Porsche.
When he tried to have sex with a woman, and couldn't, because he kept thinking about Kinn, that was because he wanted that woman to be Kinn, not because he felt like he was violated. Again, this is my take..I could be wrong.
When he met with Kinn at the house, after he'd spent the evening with friends, and Kinn warns him again about befriending Vegas, and he says "He hasn't harmed me...". I don't think he was talking about being sexually violated. I think he was hurt about how Kinn treated him, AFTER they had sex. Kinn punished him and distanced himself, and Porsche was crushed. When he looked him, that was a "I adore you. How could you distance yourself from me" look. When Kinn claimed ownership of Porsche and that he could do what he wanted, Porsche says "Go ahead do it", and you can tell he was waiting for a kiss, and got curved and told he was being replaced, and he was visibly upset about thatl. When Kinn showed up at his house, he told Kinn "You don't care about me..." Porsche is smitten....and so is Kinn.
Now I'm all for consensual sex, but this is a Mafia love story, not a typical, school campus Thai bl, like like 90% of them. We all were warned. I definitely recommend a person doesn't watch anymore, because Vegas and Pete? A whole mess - like "Stockholm Syndrome" level mess.
Not to sure on that last point. Regardless Porsche is drugged, unable to give his full. Take him to the med bay, sobber him up, heck give him a toy. There were other options that wouldn't involve touching him.

There's lots of stories to tell, and all of them are not ideal, perfect and "clean". The story has already been watered down, to appease those who couldn't make a decision to pass, which would have been the wisest thing to do. I would never expect an author to adapt their story to fit my personal convictions. I would choose to read/watch something else. I only explained my take, to help the other person to understand how I arrived at my conclusion...not to convince anyone of anything.
I have had sex, and I was tipsy...and I still knew exactly what I was doing, and I had the freedom to withdraw consent, at anytime. I was of age, and so was the guy. It's for me to decide if I was assaulted, not someone else.
