Thanks for the video. I think I'll put a clamp on my shooting board, I'd never really thought about it. I like the idea of clamping down with a set amount hanging over to be removed. On a side note because I'm a plant geek, Picea abies is often called Norway spruce if anyone is wondering if they can cut down common landscape trees to make instruments. I frequently see ones around 3 feet diameter in people's yards here in New England- often with clear sections of trunk. I have a fantasy about splitting my own billets with a froe... edit: typo
At which note the guitar top should be tap tunned...I saw some people doing this stuff by using tunner...but don't know at which note..am curious about it
