Very nice video! Gretings from Romania! I am working at History of Moldova too, I might use some informations from here.
it's a bit weird making a separate video about what now (and FOR NOW) is an independent country but historically is just a part of Romania (which you included only with 1600 unification by Michael the Brave (Mihai Viteazul), but that wasn't the only time the unification happened).
also Moldova and Moldavia are different things so you can't just use slash here, Moldova is the name of the republic between Prut and Dniester rivers (eastern part - roughly half of Moldavia), and Moldavia is one of the three so called Romanian Principalities: Wallachia, Moldavia and Transylvanya (again those united by Mihai Viteazul for the first time, but which had the same people - descendants of dacians and romans, coexisted with different levels of cooperation for long long time before that, the only reason they couldn't unite was a bad geographical position between major powers that constantly conquered and separated them)
you've put a lot of work in this, but to me it looks like a fraction of the information, not a lie but it's in a way misleading - like taking a few sentences out of a 2 pages context.
Thank you !
Cool video!
To jest piękne !

Second country more like a city lol
@@RiverCrispin you might need to take a look at a map since that would mean it's a city bigger than Chișinău, lmao
@@paulaedwardsxii which is not somethng peculiar. Many countries have much bigger cities compared to their capitals. Btw if Transnistria is not a city of Moldova, it is a city of Russia. Transnistria is not independent, it is very dependent on Russia.
@@RiverCrispin Transnistria is a whole region, a long one. it is very dependent of Russia, but I don't see how that fact should be against me, since I didn't even mention that
my own relatives want to be part of Russia already, but what matters is that we live in peace

yes. But the way i did is also correct
@@Warsawke, Thank you so much, very much!
very nice, this is my grandfather's native country
This video is wrong, as it skips many stuff and not only that, claiming that the History of Principality of Moldavia is not Romanian but "Moldovan" is idiotcy.
First of all, during the reign of St.Stephen the Great, Moldavia conquered Pocuția in Northern Bucovina "Țara Șepenițului". During the reign of Gheorghe Duca's, he became Prince of Moldavia and Ukraine "Podolia" extending the borders of Moldavia Across the lands of Dniester River "Transnistria". During the 14th Century, the south part of Bugeac (or Basarabia as its historical name) was under the rule of Wallachia, hence its name "Basarabia" meaning Land of Basarab (the Wallachian dynasty) and was like this until Mircea the Great. And you should have slowed the time line during Michael the Brave's reign from years to months to show what happened as it was a very huge event.
Now, calling the History of Principality of Moldavia as "Moldovan" is like calling the History of Saxony as "Saxon" and not German. In 1859 the Moldavian Noble man in the name of Alexandru Ioan Cuza was elected Prince of Moldavia and months later as Prince of Wallachia forming modern day Romania, yeah Moldavia formed Romania. You didn't show that, but just skipped to modern day Republic of Moldova, it is ridiculous. When the Russian Empire annexed Bessarabia, you should have shown the Bessarabian Government there from 1812 to 1917, and then the Union with Kingdom of Romania in 1918 and then the Soviet annexation in 1940, Romanian reconquest of the territory from 1941-1944 and then Soviet Socialist Republic of Moldova until its independence in 1991.
All of this is true! And this is only the basics, the creator still has many other inaccuracies...
Too many inaccuracies. 1600-1601 it has no name ? ? 1859-1991 missing. Nothing about moldovans who are ethnic romanians. Just (Poland), (Ottoman) and (Russia). Nothing about Moldova-Valachia Union (1859) and the birth of Romania. Nothing about Bucovina or Basarabia ? Moldovans are not poles, turks or russians. They are romanian ethnics. Please, respect the history of the romanians, because the romanians respect the Poland history.
Great job
(:

Where's Moldovan Democratic Republic (1917-1918)?
My name is Bogdan… wait..
Moldovian SSR?
ahh my great country from an flourish kindom to a small eastern europe country...
First Russia, then USSR, occupied important parts of Romania in the last centuries!
Basarabia (today's Republic of Moldova + 3 counties: Cahul, Bolgrad and Ismail in the north of Danube Delta, currently in Ukraine) occupied first in 1812, then in 1940. It was the same unfortunate faith for the northern Bucovina, Herta county and Snakes Island in 1940 (currently in Ukraine). Everytime they did that, they tried really hard to russify the indigenous population (mainly Romanians) by mentaining a policy of terror: deportations in Kuban, Kazakhstan and Siberia (heavily changing the demography: during 80 years, between 1817 and 1897, the share of Moldovan population dropped by 30%), forbiding the Romanian language in administration, churches, schools, forcing the population to use the russian alphabet. After the Soviet occupation of Bessarabia in 1940, the Romanian population of Bessarabia was persecuted by Soviet authorities, especially in the years following the annexation, based mostly on social, educational, and political grounds; because of this, Russification laws were imposed again on the Romanian population. The Moldovan language introduced during the Interwar period by the Soviet authorities first in the Moldavian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, and after 1940 taught in the Moldavian Soviet Socialist Republic, was actually the Romanian language but written with a version of the Cyrillic script derived from the Russian alphabet.
The cultural and linguistic effects of Russification manifest themselves in persistent identity questions. During the breakup of the Soviet Union, this led to separation of a large and industrialized portion of the country, becoming the de facto independent state of Transnistria, whose main official language is Russian.
The russians are really "friendly" neighbours...
@Fihlippe Luhis neeh...i'll let your mom cry for my sausage 😂
Dude before 1856 you are accurate enough but after totally wrong...
In 1856 Historical part of Moldova United with Wallachia (east part was occupied by Russian empire)
In 1918 The Unification with Kingdom of Romania where it is ?
Moldova wasn't independent though
@@Warsawke
The historical Moldova with capital in Suceava is in Romania.
There is no "Moldova" just the Republic Of Moldova a part of Moldova stolen by Russian empire then by Bolshvic occupancy, like Baltic states ,Chinese provinces, parts of Poland, etc.
@@georgenicolas2297 Defapt cele două principate s-au unit in 1859 sub conducerea lui Alexandru Ioan Cuza.
