I think she does feel bad but clearly she has some time of cognitive issues. The mum though should have known better. She said she was a teacher but she may have taught older kids who don't require the same level of supervision.

Yes and if I did let her your better bet I would be checking on my child constantly. If my hair took 75 mins then after that I would be on my way to get my child. I would be texting/calling asking how is she, did u feed her, change her. I would be trying to instill that trust with her again. I also would let my dad know she is watching the baby and to be watching also. The lady was keeping the child on a not so normal day. She had other plans and her mind was not on keeping that child. This is a horrible case. Two babies die at the hands of this Grandmother and she still pleads not guilty, making the poor parents and extended family relive all of this trauma. The bit I cannot tolerate is her having the nerve to blame the daughter for being late - that the child may have still been alive. In other words, if the daughter had come back earlier the Grandmother would suddenly remember the baby was in the car????? Blame your daughter because YOU FORGOT you left your grandchild in a hot car???? Reflect the blame onto someone else. Take responsibility for what you have done!! TWICE!

💔I feel bad for the entire family. My 50 year old mother-in-law insisted on babysitting my baby boy, and I nicely said no. Weeks later, my father-in-law insisted that I allow her to babysit, and I said no. Then my husband asked if I could let our son stay with his mom for at least a few hours because her feelings were hurt. I told my husband I didn't care if the whole world was hurt because I knew his mom could not care for him, and I was not about to risk my son's life. During the next 6 months, she attempted to take her own life several times. A mother's intuition is real...never ignore it.

Incomprehensible that this woman would be trusted with another child after one had already died in her care!! I live in a tropical climate, not dissimilar to Florida but hotter. I have dogs and they go with me everywhere. If I go into a shop briefly they are all in the car with air conditioning. I have never, ever left dog in a car and cannot understand how people do this. I see it happens with depressing frequency in the US but somehow, here, in hot climates I have never heard of it. Awful to lose a baby this way, I would never recover. But that child should never have been in her care. I hope she is found guilty and given a commensurate sentence!

Adult kids shouldn’t look to their parents to babysit at the drop of a hatr or as often as some people do. There is a reason why people have kids when they’re young.
Adult children should never expect so much from their parents when it comes to babysitting or anything else. Just because she may still drive a car and do other things doesn’t mean she qualifies for babysitting.
She like most parents probaby didnt want to tell her daughter no. Sometimes adult children need to think before asking so much of their parents.
it is very sad. It is sad that people have to work so many hours and don’t have time for kids in the first place.

This Mother TOOK her Children to work WITH her! The only reason Uriel was not with her is because she wanted to get her hair done and have a little break. There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with that. ALL Moms need some me time. And by the way they are not billy goats they are Children. Another thing, as a GrandMother, I had the option to say I could not watch my GrandChildren at the 'drop of a hat' but there was absolutely nothing wrong with my Son asking me to do so. He would not have known if I had plans. The reason I had my Son when I was young was so I would be young enough to full experience his growth into manhood and always hoped he would marry and have GrandChildren and he did. I did not have my Parents or my In-Laws watch him because I was busy or had plans, unless they were special plans. I find your post to be very prejudicial and assumptive.

Yet even then mom stayed gone for 5 HOURS.. for her 1-hour hair appt.. I thought she worked there or ran the office on site? And even after the tragic loss of Ezra the 16mo old which clearly her daughter didn't believe was intentional~rather than just paying for childcare it looks like she went right back to shifting her responsibilities onto Mom despite knowing she wasn't capable. porque la hija dejo a su baby con la abuela, ella sabia que la abuela tenia planes de salir con sus amigas a comer y porque la hija no le hablo cuando salio de arreglarse el pelo, la hija tenia que estar pendiente de todo, llamar a su mama para saber como estaba su baby y asi creo le hubiera recordado a su mama que habia olvidado el baby en el carro, pero no se aprovecho que el esposo hiva a pasar por el baby y asi pasaron las horas, yo pienso que la hija tambien tiene culpa por no haver estado pendiente llamandole como estaba la baby a cada hora, esto que paso es terrible y doloroso.

Why don’t they remove her from this Courtroom and have her sit in another room. She is holding up the case with her crying. Judge should make a decision. If it happens now I’m sure it will continue. I’m sure daughter is more heart broken than her. She would have been told to leave courtroom.

That's a hateful, awful thing to say. The grandmother was responsible for TWO deaths of her daughter's babies. She could've saved the world the trouble of dealing w/her by taking a handful of whatever meds she was on & hoping for the best for her family. Making then go through this trial after the second child was killled is beyond the pale.

She said she was pregnant with Uriel at the time of Ezra's death and was afraid of miscarriage due to severe stress, so she did not read the police report herself. I think she is a people pleaser. She just tried to do more than she was capable of handling. Even though everything she was trying to do was easy and enjoyable it was just too much to handle for her. As we get older we have to know our limits, prioritize and start saying no to people. This is so tragic.

Easy to blame Grandma. Even though she was busy herself with a prayer meeting, her daughter wanted 'me' time at the hairdresser and didnt come back to get her after the 75min appointment. Rather, she went straight home and waited for her husband to pick up the baby after work. A few hours later.
