    Something very strange is going on with that woman. Surely if one baby has already died in your care, you take extra responsibility with your other grandchild.
    With the first baby, she took a nap. With the second baby she’s off playing piano and leaves her in a hot car.
    Then she goes to trial rather than take responsibility.
    Guess we know who comes first.
    Jury might get psychological damage after this trial if the first death is being kept from them.

      When my kids were young enough to need a car seat I would freak out when they WERENT in the car with me. Like if I went somewhere alone then glanced in the back my heart would jump for a split second before I realized “oh yeah, I didn’t bring them”. I’m from Arizona so the heat was always a factor in why I was so vigilant in making sure they were ok.

    If the jury listened closely, when the grey haired emt spoke about the chaos of the scene he said 'this had happened here before' i was so shocked the judge didnt ask the jury to leave and tell them to strike it, but that probably would have drawn more attention to it. I hope beyond hope that they heard it.

    It's hard to believe she thought her mom was trustworthy to care for her daughter after her son died in her mother's care already. That is insane to me.     My friend's child broke her leg while in my care, jumping on the trampoline with my kids.. I was a basket case. I got rid of the trampoline immediately and was paranoid about keeping others' children for years. 😢

      Honestly, in hindsight I am sure they see it- but if cognitive decline is happening here, they say it usually takes 5 YEARS before family members recognize it. So no, these daughters would not necessarily see it. This is their competent, capable mother. My mother has full blown dementia and mybsister is still in denial that it's not dementia just memory issues.

    The 911 call was so upsetting. Understandable you don’t want your son to be there but put him in the grandparents house.. he’s 12 I’m sure he saw a little of what was going on.. and whatever the outcome he still was going to end up finding out because this was a major tragedy that occurred within the family. The aunt was weird for that. “I can’t stay”. wtf. Had that been my nieces I would have been trying my best to talk to the operator and my parents to find out as much information. She was just weird. Sorry for those babies.. this is just sad.

      It sounds like there was no case and the grandma was asleep so it was just assumed to be a freak accident of the toddler getting out and falling into a pond. It’s a serious miscarriage of justice that the jury is not allowed to know this information though. They should be allowed all information pertaining to this grandmothers pattern of negligence.

And the jury is not allowed to know that her negligence killed her grandson a year earlier to her killing her granddaughter. Both her daughter’s kids are dead because of her.     Just a note about this 911 call. I wish people who make the call would listen to the operator and actually try to answer questions. It's completely useless to respond the way this woman is.     Interesting that she went to inpatient treatment after the death of the grandson Ezra.
    I'm not saying that excuses her behaviour. However, something was obviously up with this woman. She was "napping" when Ezra drowned, and had gone out for lunch with friends while watching Uriel.

      Her daughter was well aware of her mother’s plans, the day she out of the blue , calls her to watch her daughter because she forgot she had a hair appt!
      That she herself said she always took the baby with her !
      But yet even though she knew her mother had plans she decided, after the passing of her son a year prior in her mothers care and her mother not watching any of her children for a year or more, ask her to watch her daughter at the last minute anyway . The morning of her appt!

      The ems were already on their way after she gave them the address and what was wrong. 911 stayed on the call to get more info that they could relay to the ems services on their way
