I don’t think it was Gene cause he’s talking as the wheeze is going on. If it was gene the audio still doesn’t sound right to me personally the wheeze and genes voice sound from different audios
I like how bob was initially like 'no, don't play this game again' and then tina comes out swinging with 'a hundred' and Bob stops complaining and immediately goes 'a hundred? There's three!' it's just one of my favorite things when one person is winding up for one subject only to be fully blindsided by an unexpected development in the conversation
Bobs burgers is one of the few shows that has a rock solid foundation with the pilot. Very little has changed since season 1 in terms of basic character traits from what I've seen so far (I'm re watching the series so I'm only at season 6)
I remember hating this show. I remember ranting about how unfunny it was. Now I realize I was just a dumbass kid and the show is genius. One my of favorites.
It's interesting to see how the show's writing structure changed. The earlier episodes feel much more improvised. I get the impression they wanted to make this show the next Home Movies.
Plus I think the earlier episodes had cruder humor and were even mean spirited at times. Hell, the pitch had the family as Sweeney Toddesque cannibals. It was like they felt the need to push the envelope to compete with the likes of The Simpsons and Family Guy, but they eventually came into their own and focused on strong character development and world building. Don’t get me wrong, the early episodes are still great, but I think they didn’t have a clear identity yet.
I'm autistic and this is so funny, so many people try the toothpick thing with me, once a stranger tried it on me when I was at work (he used pencils not toothpicks but same difference) and he kept asking me how many he threw, I told him there were too many for me to clean up but just enough for him to clean up and I walked away 🤣🤣🤣

I'm not autistic but I do struggle with focus when counting things, especially coins and such. Something I found that helps is rounding up, so counting up to ten and keeping track of those with my hands. Like every time I reach 10, I stick out a finger from my clenched hand(s).
huh that's weird i can count really well at a glance i randomly say "12" while looking at something and i end up being right, i can even estimate up to 20 sometimes accurately guess that's why it's a spectrum
I prefer this more calm version of Jean, rather than the constant screaming fart noise version. Both are good, but I feel they make him a bit too excited most of the time.
Gene was charming in his slightly annoying way in the first season, but after that he became progressively morr unbearable until he became just the worst character in the show, especially in Gene centric episodes. I think the writers noticed the negative reaction from audiences cause in the movie he takes much more of a backseat and has very few but good lines.
@@lollybowser I’m so glad someone else feels the same I can’t stand gene in seasons except for 1. But the movie did right by him thankfully.
they swing wildly with Gene the first 3 or 4 seasons. at one moment, he's loud, farty, and intense, at another he's like pretty calm. the later seasons evened him out some without fully getting rid of his character. i like how they still let him be intensively creative and musical without letting it get too annoying.

Personally, i always thought gene was the autistic one. He gets overstimulated by bright lights and loud sounds, is dependent and somewhat clingy to his family, and even uses talking to himself as a coping mechanism for being alone.
I love the show so much and even though the earlier seasons and newer ones feel different, they still have a charm to them. I only wish that they would've kept the voices similar since I've noticed that the voices, especially the kids, have begun to sound much more high pitched/exaggerated
i love both the early seasons and new seasons for different reasons. Season 1 is honestly imo probably still the funniest, but i can't help but love the "niceness" of the later seasons. The Belchers are an actual loving family and not one that simply stands each other.
