- Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 will offer some significant upgrades as Samsung is taking this key feature from the latest Galaxy Ultra phone and taking it to the next level with the Galaxy Z Fold 6 as well as the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra which probably will see a limited release. Samsung will launch the Galaxy Z Fold 6 in July.

I will pass it, if they keep these configurations, not even close to old foldable phones from other Chinese companies. 25w is really obsolete, 45w as well. Batteries are moving to silicone, graphene where you can give over 1000 cycles without losing capacity, but samsung chose to keep old configuration from 2018. That's ridiculous for the price samsung ask for. I have an s24 ultra, I love it, but competition is not only catching but surpassing samsung. Why? Because samsung is playing safe, for how long? Playing safe like apple? If the chinese companies were in USA, samsung would be in serious problems. The chinese companies are offering better hardware, and cheaper prices, one plus 12 is an amazing phone which I presume the next one could beat the s25 ultra if if if samsung play safe. I definitely want samsung be beaten for these companies, at least they can wake up and bring a good hardware for the price, it ask for.

Why do you want faster charging??? Have you even used a Samsung phone with 25w charging? Bc the z fold still gets to 80% in under 30 min. I would prefer battery longevity to minimally faster charges.

At this stage, Samsung are just making a mockery of their fold customers. Launching the same phone over and over again. They can shove their Fold 6. We want the Ultra version, as simple as that. Give fold customers more options in the range similar to their S line.
If you haven't used the folds regularly it's easy to think they're the same... But the fold 5 is a generational product upgrade for the form factor. No manufacturer of a folding device can come close to this build quality. I'm a little pissed about no embedded s pen tho (but maybe they were afraid of the screens becoming damaged).
@ShouPow If I haven't used Folds??? I've had every Fold to date, and my Fold 5 most definitely is NOT a generational upgrade. It's a very minor upgrade over the Fold 4. I guess some people are easily pleased.
@@JOHNNYK202 maybe you don't understand the technologies underlying the fold 5s release. Considering it's their third Gen hinge and second Gen display it's quite a upgrade. Full flat closure, greatly improved crease. It's quite profound to feel in hand.

it sucks bc my only gripe with the the Oneplus Open is the lack of the pen. enabling stylus support on a phone doesn't do any good if you can't actually buy the pen and there's no point in a foldable for me without having a pen. that's the only reason I'm stuck with Samsung when it comes to foldables otherwise the OnePlus Open is the obvious decision 😭 #cmononeplus

OnePlus' only comment is that they will **possibly** consider producing more accessories in the future (but it lacked enthusiasm or promise). None of these are intriguing or attractive, need a much better camera, and front screen ration needs a change. Those 2 alone would be considered "next level"

Almost every video I've seen discussing the zfold 6 mentions wanting a larger outer display. I KNOW Samsung has to know by now what the consumer wants regarding dimensions. I sure hope they listen Ive been waiting for this change to make the switch over to the fold world. For now I still feel Note 10 plus holds it own. Bought a DSLR years ago. I want a functional pocket cpu more than another portable camera. I look at and tinker with my phone way more than I take pictures. .#teamzfold6ultra
Just buy another device if you want a cover screen the same ratio as a standard phone (which I posit is a dumb desire, but to each their own).
Using the cover screen as a quick view finder on a more pocketable phone is one killer feature. The other is reasonable one hand usage. None of the other tablet foldables are as pocketable as the Z fold. Fools will keep requesting a large cover screen and I pray Samsung stays the course
I am waiting for Tab S10 and maybe a ring. My S23 Ultra turned into S24 Ultra with One UI 6.1 update. I a. Going to wait couple of years for Z Fold.
This has nothing to do with anything. But I'm hoping for a really, really good 17" 4k tablet with current or next gen Snapdragon processor that is affordable too.
BTW really looking forward to the watch this time....I hope they'll give us something with better battery life. And for the love of all that's holy, where's the affordable Fold!
I feel we reached the pinnacle of smartphones with the S23 Ultra........Samsung are trying to fix something that ain't broken and that's no good. No one changes the way they use their phone because there's a bunch of AI features....I still mainly shop,, bank and browse on mine and I make calls...gee...i use a phone to make calls!. I do find the spelling and grammer check useful but that's it. AND the camera on the S23 Ultra is way better, then they messed about with the vivid mode only to have to bring it back. Pity they don't bring back the SD Card slot.
The rumors surrounding the Z Fold 6 have not become any more interesting as the launch approaches.
My zfold 4 inner screen cracked down the middle when i tried opening my device one day. After 3 months. DONE with folding phones until theyre LEGITIMATELY strong and can endure life. I had to use the tiny cover screen as my only screen for over a year. Then got my pre ordered s24ultra! Which DESTROYS every foldable in everyway. The ONLY plus of a foldable, too me, is the larger screen. Making multitasking insanely easy! The S24ultra iw no slouch though. Its got a nice big screen and i can EASILY and happily use two apps at a time split screen on this device. It was REALLY cool being able too multi task with 3-4 apps, but its not necessary by any means.
Foldables maybe aren't for you... But to say the s24 ultra beats a fold 5... Is copium at best, or ignoring the point of the fold at worst. Like 70% of the folds cost is its display. Camera is still sick, ai features still sick, SOC is still top tier.
While I personally want a headphone jack it seems the luddites of the market have accepted lossy audio for now. I would like to see Samsung putting in audio centric hardware into their devices now they own Roon.

In my opinion, cause I don't own nither yet. I believe that it may be an opportunity to purchase one "now," even as Samsung is constantly growing/producing.
I have the Z Fold 5. I like it a lot except for the cover screen is just way too narrow. I was originally worried about that when I first decided to get it, but I have super small hands so I thought it probably won't be as bad as some reviewers made it out to be. but the issue is that it cuts off content when watching videos on social media and several apps aren't as well optimized for the narrow dimensions.
otherwise, I really like the Z Fold 5. the outdated camera doesn't bother me bc the camera is still very good and I don't take a lot of pictures. the phone is fast and hasn't broken or chipped or anything.I do use a case and screen protector tho.
i will be trading it in for a Z Fold 6 tho bc of the cover screen. the only reason I don't switch to the OnePlus Open is bc a foldable is useless to me without a stylus (and the Oppo Pen is sold out + no longer being produced), but the OnePlus Open is the best foldable rn in the USA-- where I live, if you don't care about a stylus.
I have a z fold 5 and I had a fold 3 as well. The upgrade to the 5 was amazing for build quality and durability: the screen crease is still pretty mild after all this time (I got the phone on release).
I LOVE the skinny cover display and will throw a fit if Samsung stupidly copies the other manufacturers. I like the skinny cover display for slipping in/out of pockets (something that became impossible with the note 8 onwards) and for quick things (messages, photos, changing the song). I usually use the main display while sitting, commuting, browsing, but I use the cover screen a lot when out. The flip is made for a lighter phone user who could appreciate the separation from a digital device the flip provides. While the fold is supposed to be for the "power" user who would always want a phone, but then sometimes want the tablet. I use my fold in tablet mode almost exclusively at home, but still fold it for transport. The flip is honestly very cool, and if you're a casual browser or content consumer then sure. But like nothing compares to watching stuff on the main display, it's phenomenal and the primary reason for the phone. If you're somewhat careful, get the fold or flip. If you and tech don't get along then maybe just get the s24, it'll probably be harder to break.
Also IMO the flip is probably the best Samsung has the offer, while the fold is the most cutting edge. The s24 ultra would be basic/the nominally best, but its camera isn't much better than the folds. I think Samsung puts their proven best tech in the fold/flip and throws as much at the wall with the s24 ultra as possible. Different values tho they're all largely the same device (same soc, Dex, resolution, refresh, charging times).
Also, I forgot to add that it really just comes down to what YOU are specifically looking for in a phone. If you want a foldable that is just as much a smartphone as a tablet then the Z Fold 5 isn't there yet due to its lacking cover screen. But suppose you're looking for a device that is a tablet/phone that can just fold into something small and easily portable when you aren't using it heavily. In that case, the current Fold/Flip will be perfect for you (as long as you like Samsung and aren't crazy about needing all the highest specs in a new device).

Zfold is the biggest upset I still have the 3 and for it to be the most expensive phone , the camera sucks, outside screen hasn't changed and it sucks from being too narrow, this phone really is a upset. Should be the flagship phone
If you have the 3 (like I did) you'd probably be blown away by the 5 for its build and durability. The 3 was a little flimsier, especially the screen. The 5s crease is sooooooo much better.
But die mad about the narrow cover screen, I'm praying that'll never change. I like being able to use it one-handed. And for the smaller hands on the Korean market, I imagine Samsung feels similarly. It's dumb to have a full size phone unfold to a tablet, that's just two space wasters in one...

I have the z fold 5. So many issues with apps only running in phone (folded) mode, not in tablet mode. Some email platforms are glitchy Too narrow to use when folded; to big to hold when open. Have never found, and I have been through 3, a case that is workable. S pen storage a joke. This was my dream phone...but it's almost my nightmare

In hardware w foldables Huawei, Xiaomi, Honor, One Plus and Vivo are winning. Samsung has my favorite software but on hardware Samsung has massive work to do w the fold 6 ultra or I may importing the other brands

I'm in New York state with the z-fold five and I have the six bucks a month insurance with a $200 deductible if my phone is lost or stolen... I heard Samsung gives you the newest version of the phone if it's already out and you happen to make a claim so my Zfold 5 might just 🌈*dissapear*🌈 in July🤣

My z fold 4 hinge suddenly stuck. Not been able to fully flat without droping or anything. No dust particle inside the hinge.

Contact your carrier and they will replace it. If the warranty period as passed, contact Samsung directly. Tmobile replaced my Fold 4 with a Fold 5. My 4 wouldn't open flat which is a common issue with tbe 4.
@@SaintPaulChurchus it passed the warranty period. and i already went to the samsung center, they offer me a solution/fix, by replacing the whole lcd set instead of just repairing the hinge.

I wish they would change the aspect ratio of the fold. It’s so narrow and awkward compared to one plus open and vivo. It’s a shame. Samsung used to be the pioneers/leaders in the foldable segment but now they’re resting on their laurels and letting other OEMs eat their lunch. Samsung is not going to keep their lead in the foldable space if they keep this up.
Get another phone if you want the (IMO) worse form factor of unwieldy phone that unfolds into something more unwieldy. The cover screen is meant to be portable, pocketable, usable with one hand, and achieve quick actions. I use it while walking or when I need to quickly respond to a text (longer than my watch allows). Also great a viewfinder for quick photos.
Having two content focused screens on one device is dumb.
The cover and main display offer different use cases.
Also, Samsung likely manufactures products with Korean at the forefront, so considering they have smaller hands than the global average, the folds form factor is likely gonna stay.
It's also the superior folding form factor, IMO. The pixel fold, IMO was the worst designed foldable yet: ugly chunky cover with uglier chunkier main display: Ls across the board
I would not buy any Fold Z again. It costs $600 to fix the flex cable if it is not under warranty.
I have the Z Fold 5 right now, I will be downgrading to the Galaxy A55 next time, these high-end phones are way too expensive and too gimmicky

If the outer screen is not as big as a full blown cady bar phone, then it will not wow many people.
I had the Zfold 3 & 4 both cracked down the middle of the screen and had to be replaced in less than a year. Big disappointment.

I used to have 512 and my newest phone is 256 (I didn't feel the need to pay for the upgrade bc I only used 200gb on my 512gb device).
I suppose I never used my phone like a full fledged computer with Dex... But what once was my primary PC, a laptop, had only 512gb.
And to my understanding video content makers have their content backed up elsewhere, not living on their phones

But I take mad pictures and videos (literally vlogged an entire vacation for the purpose of TH-cam), I only listen to Hires audio so have like 40gb of offlined music.. but still have space.
Before this specific phone I finally did housekeeping on my phones files (since my first galaxy in 2012) and deleted a bunch of downloads and put my pics/vids in the cloud so this new phone could start fresh. So like I also wanted 512/1tb but then I just managed my data.... So 256 is chill for me. I've also decided that if I wanna pursue content creation I should be better about managing my stale data and moving my vlog shit to my main PC drive.
So I guess if I didn't use the cloud or have a PC I would want 1tb but that's a pretty bad reason and we as a society should probably manage our data & stuff rather than continuously demanding more storage.
Obviously storage is mad cheap these days and it wouldn't kill premium phones to start at 256g, and have cheaper tiers for storage...

As a S24 Ultra user, I'm not expecting a big breaking AI experience on the new Fold 6. AI on S24Ultra is way to hyped, it was fun to try, but after using it for 3 months I can't say this has been used since the first try. Editing photos, meh. It takes forever and the results are at best ok. Picture quality is also not good in dark areas, way worse than my old iPhone 14 PRO. Paired with Galaxy Watch 6 classic it has been a terrible experience, it's like a dumb watch with diffrents faces.
Not saying the S24 Ultra is a bad phone, because it is not. But don't fall for the hype and think the Fold would be a great step up at AI levels. Big screen, and a pen. That is something that is getting hyped about

Just make it a proper size, is far too small and too narrow and has been for years...
I'm so sick of camera talk. Everyone points, clicks, looks, thinks the pic is fine & moves on.
WE WANT A BIGGER COVER SCREEN & AN INBODY SPOT FOR THE PEN. These things go together. Make the body that holds the screen wider & like magic, theres more room for the pen. Samsung is slowly devovling into Apple. "We could do it, but we wont."

No thanks... narrow display and prone to display failures. The foldable phones are just a fail! Had Z Fold 2 started showing a line down the middle after 2 years of use. The apps weren't optimised for it either..
Bring the othe folds into the market Samsung is goner.

All these phones are a joke. Not playing any roll how many cameras they have when Instagram/Facebook etc are lowering the quality of these photos. This is not ok to users.

The fold6 is a flop so far ill keep my OnePlus Open.
Another boring, incramental update. Its crazy to see how they went from innovating with the first gen fold to doing the same shit everyone else is doing, only now lazier because they just shove AI in front of everything expecting it to pick up the slack for hardware innovation, despite software only being half of what makes features inportant. Honesty, somebody making the decisions at Samsung needs firing.
