After seeing hornadys reloading episode I forgot to mention on the last one that making an advanced reloading series would be perfect 3-4 episodes long discussing your setup and process in depth and shitting on people that do it different because ultimately thats what Im here for.

I second both of those statements^^
25-45 sharps is actually a pretty sweet little cartridge that was also a failure to launch well. I think it could have real potential for increased performance over a 5.56 in this new era of suppressing everything
Did some work on 25-45 a while back. I was impressed with it as a hunting cartridge.
@@txpredatorhunting I agree it makes for a very flat and fast cartridge for coyotes and such but also can be very good for deer, especially in the hands of a young and small hunter

A lot to unpack there. It depends… is probably what Wade would say. Biggest question you need to answer is if you’re building or buying. PSA: it’s not always cheaper to build BUT if you are interested in the process I’d say go for it! Start with your barrel I would recommend not going cheap. Gisele or Criterion, there are others out there but do your research. I personally don’t think BCGs matter a ton, don’t buy a shit one. Do your research, the biggest thing with bcgs is making sure the coatings and metallergy match between your bolt and chamber. Look at the barrel manufacturer if it’s not listed what bolt they did their head spacing with send them an email. But it’s probably whatever they sell, unless they just make barrels.
I see the 6 Max as that cartridge. Not as good at the heavy grain 700 yard plus ranges as the 6ARC, but far more capable than 556, and more reliable feeding and parts wear compared to the 6ARC.
take a 6.8spc neck it down to a 6mm call it a 6spc.. ppl have tried it an get some great velocities from shorter barrels....or take the 400 legend neck it down to a 6mm an call it the 6mm maximum.... 🤯
