I heard you mention yeti while in the ice chest section. As an off-roader to another off-roader just thought you should know, Yeti is known to fund companies that want to ban off-roading. Just wanted to give a heads up because your channel does reach quite a bit of people.
For a Walmart tent look at the 4 person connect tent. It connects to the side of a 10x10 ezup canopy. $40. Got one and it’s pretty nice. Could put 3 of them on one canopy
its amazing how many items are out of stock on Amazon.. its like the whole of America has gone Overlanding.. great video.. i will do most of my shopping at Walmart
So funny. Headed up for a night in the Ouachita’s in the morning and Walmart gonna be my first stop. I’m just getting started camping again. Thank you for your amazing timing.
Trauma kit - definitely go with a trauma kit. And learn how to use it. CAT tourniquets, medic shears, Stop The Bleed kits, definitely have them, and most importantly, LEARN HOW TO USE THEM. I have two IFAKs beefed up with CATs and STB items in my truck. Both my range bag and my rifle bag each have the same. And just like a gun, it's better to have it an not need it, than need it and not have it.
Ive never understood the full tricked out rigs with roof tents and such. I mean, some gear is essential, but a lot depends on how long you'll be gone. Usually a weekend for me as i dont get much time, being a trucker. So a small 5lb propane bottle and coleman propane stove. Cooler with ice, blue cube water jug, and a tent with cot and a folding chair set me up pretty well. Got a tarm for an awning, and its luxury. Lol. Though ive always done camping, so it was mainly what do i need that i dont have somewhere. Great video!
I know it’s not Wal Mart, but I picked up a Dewalt portable fan at Home Depot for about $100 that uses their drill batteries and that thing is as valuable as the buddy heater. Really helps during the hot Texas summers and the batteries last well over 8 hours on a good medium speed setting
I’ve got two sets of the multi-pack flexible cutting boards. They are the friggin bomb. One board each for meat, fish, chicken and veggies. Super lightweight and slide/fit almost anywhere!
Thanks for posting this. I wasn't aware Walmart stocked camping supplies. I picked up a couple of those blue water jugs today. I haven't been in Walmart in a while and they seem to have all sorts of interesting, new products. Thanks.
Hey Matt, in the battery section around the bottom shelf should be a yellow jump start. It plugs in to a 110 to charge itself. Once charged it can jump start a full-size battery, has 2 USB ports, a 110 plug, light and also a built in air compressor. I think it is around $100-125. For a budget, that one unit takes care of a battery charger and air compressor.
One thing to note about the NOCO boost packs. They do NOT give power unless they sense voltage. If your batter is flat dead it will not boost off your vehicle. Just figured this out on my wife’s truck after it sat for a week. Otherwise they are GREAT!
You can override this polarity protection feature by holding the “!” button. Once the lights begin to illuminate in series then that protection feature is restricted and you can jump a completely dead battery. Makes the jump pack much more useful😊
Great video! Best advise is to just get out there and do it! You likely have most of what you need at home already. You'll then know how you camp and what you need to do it better.
Just found your channel and am really enjoying it! I agree that it's possible to get started in camping without breaking the bank and not all expensive gear is the best, but I would highly encourage one to do research to find a good tent and air mattress vs a Walmart cheapie. Saving money is pointless if the tent leaks heavily (from rain or condensation) and the mattress doesn't properly support the person on it. Waking up soaked after a bad night's sleep ruins the fun every time. Now.... back to watching more of your videos!
My broke a$$ when and got a 8 man tent and already had a 3 man tent, set them up one inside the other, can still stand up in the bigger tent to cook or just hang out in a rain storm, etc. can also make a homemade camping stove, and it fits on top of my 95 explorer, homemade deck.
One thing to keep in mind is not all walmarts are the same. The one near me suvks for outdoors equipment. The one 10 miles away sells everything guns included.
I love to see you show people your love for the beautiful state we live in. Arkansas is underrated but I guess I kinda like it that way. Makes it feel like a special pocket of the world. I want to get into overlanding and have found your videos very helpful. Thanks for all you do

Great Adventure into the wilderness of Walmart! Great advice that you don't need to spend a fortune to start overlanding! Thanks for another great video!
When you got to the part about can openers? That one on the far right for $8.97. it cuts the best. And it is one handle. You just put it on top of the can. turn it. tracks onto the seam. Once you're done cutting. You just do a reverse turn and it comes off the can. Very simple. That's the best one all those other can openers. the bushing on the other opens. has a nylon bushing that wears out and then it doesn't cut into the can. Just saying, now if you go to the garage sale or swap meet or something. and you find the old school and is all metal. Grab it. And for the fire starters I use cotton balls and work in some Vaseline into the cotton balls. And I put those in a ziplock bag.
You were great...with what you showed, $ $500, would do a body good. Now all you need is some food, water, waterproof hiking boots, and you're all good... you helped me out...all you need now is a solar battery... Thanks...
What’s interesting about Amazon and Walmart online, is local shops sell on these sites. So when you buy there, even if it’s fulfilled by Amazon, it’s most likely a local shop somewhere. And it might even be a local shop somewhere who couldn’t survive without A and/or M. So support local shops and buy on Amazon and Walmart Online!
It's not most likely, it's only a local shop if it's under Amazon's Shop Small Page. Small local shops and Ecommerce aren't the same thing. A majority of Amazon is ecommerce.

I've got that 4 person Ozark Trail tent you looked at. Its been from Arkansas to Colorado on my Harley twice, Will easily hold a queen air mattress with extra room to spare. Perfect for 2 adults. I sprayed it with weather-proofing silicone before each trip and use the up-graded nail-style tent pegs. Just bought a '21 Tacoma TRD Off Road and thinking about getting into overlanding. Just starting the overlanding/Jeeping adventures. One question I had during the utensil portion of the vid is: where/how do we wash the pots/plates/utensils in the wilderness?
That 5 gallon water jug shown in the video on the tailgate and a splash of diluted dish soap does the trick! If you want to take it to the next level you can pick up a garden sprayer jug to have a stream of pressurized water.
