    Thanks a lot for making this😊
    Could you please also let me know specifically which chasing tour and with which operator to book?
    My wife and I are planning a travel to Tromsø from Sweden this February and Northern lights has been on our bucket list since we were kids.

      @coolchandra Thank you so much for your lovely comment! That means so much!
      The tour company we used was The Green Adventure and they were brilliant! Their website is www.thegreenadventure.no.
      Good luck on your trip to Tromsø! I really am hoping you will get to see them. Keep us posted and let us know how your trip went. We’re off to Kiruna, Sweden in February to chase them again. 😀

      @khaledh3365 you're very welcome and thank you so much for the lovely comment! I'm so excited for you, especially since late November - December is a great time to visit Tromso. With regards to chasing the Northern Lights with kids in tow, I suggest three things:
      1) get in touch with tour companies and see if they can accommodate children.
      2) if you don't find any luck doing that, I recommend hiring a very comfortable rental car, research safe and easy places to possibly drive to where you can wait for the aurora to arrive. If you get lucky, you might not even have to go very far from Tromso to see the Northern Lights.
      3) Another place you can go to with your family is Mount Storsteinen and take the cable car (fjellheisen) up there. It closes at 12 AM and that will give you plenty of time to wait for them to appear.
      If you need more info, watch our Tromso video. I covered the Fjellheisen in that video.

    Hi, i want to plan a trip in November before i go back to the states, im already in europe and just want to know if its common for it to rain or be cloudy at beginning of November

    • @worthytravels
      @worthytravels  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi there, sorry for the late reply. Which place in Europe are you referring to? If it’s Tromso or anywhere within that area, the wettest time of the year is commonly during October and may trickle towards the beginning of November. I suggest monitoring the weather closely towards your travel date to see what the forecast is like. But the good news is: November is part of Northern Lights season. 😊 Are you able to visit closer to the end of the month?

    • @wowking5510
      @wowking5510 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@worthytravels omg i wasnt specific, im going to visit tromso in November and the first week of November and wanted to know how rare it is for it to rain or snow in the first week, im trying to photograph the auroras, and beginning of the month theres no full moons

    • @worthytravels
      @worthytravels  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @wowking5510 The beginning of November could be wet. However, no full moons is a great sign! We were in Kiruna, Sweden last week and the moon, even though it wasn’t a full moon, prevented us from seeing the aurora during two of the nights that we were there. It was too bright! Thankfully, we got lucky during the other nights we were there.
      Also, around November 21st is when it starts to get clear and the polar night begins. So more time for you to see them, which explains why I asked if you are able to move your trip to a later time in the month. 🙂

    hello, do you think March 2nd week would be a good time to vissit Tromso ? We checked the moon calendar and it shows a no moon day (around 8th-9th March)

    • @worthytravels
      @worthytravels  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi there ! March is still Northern Lights season and if the forecast shows no moon, that would be good. If you can, check for clear skies too. No moon could mean cloudy skies as well. Sending good vibes your way! 🙂

    • @PyroFacinatioN
      @PyroFacinatioN 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      March is by far the best month, and to up your chances of seeing it by around 90%, get out of the city to view it. You need minimal light pollution. This is why you'll notice all the good photos are taken in remote areas.
      It's very rare to see a full blown aurora directly above the city. Even when active, you won't be able to see it properly. Outside of the city, in march, you'll have very good odds, and the actual aurora will be much more spectacular.
      Sincerely, a local

      @worthytravels  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@PyroFacinatioN Thank you so much for the information! Advice from a local is extremely helpful. I agree, remote areas are the best. We just got very fortunate that they showed up while we were in the city. Thank you as well for reiterating our advice to avoid areas with light pollution (as mentioned in the video). We are headed to Kiruna next month to (hopefully) see them in another remote part of Scandinavia
