It's stunning that anyone falls for this.

The elderly are particularly vulnerable. My mum is 75 and me and my 16 yo son have saved her so many times.

Remember, the conversation is being recorded at Homeland Security and by the jury in the coathouse. The have no idea that every large town and city has a federal coathouse.

"I'm Central American..." Sounds just like them. "um... originally from...er...Hawaii." Yep, that is a Central American Hawaiian accent for sure, I'm surprised I didn't hear it sooner.

One of this tried this on me.....Spanish is my native language. I also understand Portuguese. Fun was had.
I DID burst out laughing as he stumbled over himself with Central American and Hawaii. Too bad the rabbit hole didn't go further!

Line 7 on the 1040 form says "Wages, salaries, tips, etc. Attach Form(s) W-2"
When you file taxes the IRS gets 2 copies of your W-2, 1 from you, and 1 from your employer.
Keep asking for specifics, similar to the ones on this call, regarding the actual tax forms, and the scammer will expose himself.

Just a small number of reasonable questions easily expose the bogus nature of this ludicrous scam. His ridiculous comments (like one about about being a Hawaiian from Central America) demonstrate the insanity of the whole moronic process. I'm looking forward to part two next week.

For your next IRS call, the following might be helpful. The Federal Rules of Evidence (and all state evidence statutes) have a provision that offers to compromise (i.e., settlement negotiations) and all conversations related to trying to settle the matter are not admissible in Court (civil and criminal trials). I would love to see what the reaction would be if you stated that the "federally recorded call" can't be admitted into evidence against you. I doubt they would know how to respond and it would get them off-script. You can tell them that you learned that from an episode of Law and Order.
Are you trying to make me go to the coat house? That would be funny. I'm sure they'd have no reasonable reply :)

Oh my gosh. You were stressing him. They hate when you ask questions which aren't in their script. I haven't been able to find any alive IRS scammer numbers lately. I love messing with the irs ones as it requires such little work on my end. Tech supports are easy to find however.
I wonder what they would say if you told them you always get refunds? "I don't have to pay, I always get refunds!" And hey, Section 101 of what?

The scammers have a script to follow. I would love to hear somebody say they are aware of the lawsuit and have an appointment with the IRS to review the tax returns. I don't think they would know how to respond. Their goal is to get money. Right off the bat, telling them they are not getting money instead of calling them "jerkoff scammers". LOL
I did tell them on one of my video's that I know I owe them...and I was able to tell them how much I owed...and they acknowledged that amount

FYI everyone - 26 US Code § 101 (IRS) relates to death benefits received from insurance policies and that they're not taxed. Ask these idiots to tell you what's in 101. Once you tell them what the actual content is, I'm guessing the call will end abruptly! ;-)

I've been wondering what would happen if you said, "Hey, I have my forms right here, sir. What box is wrong?" That's what I did the last time I talked to the IRS, and believe me the guy told me.

So you say I willfully misrepresented my income, yet attached my W-2 form. You can't tell me what I entered on line 7 nor what it should be. You're going to have an awful hard time proving fraud in court, let alone willful misrepresentation.

They have no idea what Willful Misrepresentation means, they as we all know are reading a script. Rarely, to me anyway, thier script doesn't come close to being believable and it baffles me how anyone could fall for this.
They have no clue what a w2 form or 1040 form is, they put you on hold or hang up if you give them a actual tax question.

He was going to give you the standard 2 or three thousand, but, because you made him look up the nearest IRS office in Fredericksburg, Maryland, he decided to charge you 7 thousand to compensate for his google search. But understandable because Central America is Hawaii hence his accent, for example his beige ID number

Watching some more of these older videos while I clean out my closet (closets are boring!) and, as always noticing more details in your animation. You really put a lot of work into making these fun to watch (again and again!).
I had also forgotten that this guy actually said what line the error was on. I'll bet they don't do that often. If he had told me that the error was in my reported wages, I would had real fun with that. I'm retired!

It's soooooooo great that a scambaiter calls these idiots out on so many things. Did anyone else notice that when you ask them something that would be important information to know if something like fraud or any wrongdoings happened, they ALWAYS ask you to repeat yourself. A CLASSIC red flag that someone is lying to you ( and SO ANNOYING because you and them know full well they heard you the 1st time 🙄) This video is a PERFECT example on how it is VERY IMPORTANT to keep asking questions when you get any phone call like this. These people think we are so dumb. I so wish one of these losers would call me. I actually had a Medicare scammer call me last week. Mind you, I'm 45. I'll post the video soon. What pisses me off the most is when they target older people...
