That was beautiful. I was reminded of my wonderful mother who suffered from dementia. I tried always and in all ways to treat her as kindly every day the same way she treated me as a child. There were days she was very confused and asked the same question multiple times, but to me it was a blessing, because she was my mother and I loved her. I was blessed to be there holding her in my arms as she passed from this world to the next. Always and in all ways treat your parents with respect and kindness.
Thanks for this beautiful story. It's just sad that this happens numerous times with the kids today . . . forgetting what their parents had done for them when they were young with nary an irritation but with unconditional love.
Love this story our parents were our backbone when we were little they were our legs when we couldn't walk our voice when we couldn't talk our hands when we couldn't reach they were our everything and we should always show them how we love respect and care for them ❤ ♥ thank God for our loving ❤ parents
Thank you for this. I served my parents with all that I had until the day they died. It was my honor. And I didn't have to be told that they sacrificed and gave all they could to me as I was growing up. I had figured that out early in my life. So, I was prepared, willing and able. I mourned the loss of the abilities they had when younger. But what the heck. Can't stay same age forever. Aging can bring such wisdom and more joy to all if you can embrace it. Your message is so powerful. I have seen people get so angry at their parents for becoming older. I tell them that if they are blessed to become the same age, how would they prefer to be treated? With understanding, patience and love. Or with the opposite. Makes a difference all the time. I also respond with understanding.
I just Subscribe, Awww I love my Mom and Dad, I always be there for Mom and Dad ❤❤ God bless you too Sir . Yes and the Word of God says Honor your Mother and your father that your days maybe long upon the Land . Jesus is coming back. and Sorrow will be destroyed. Let us always be ready for his return.
When we are kids, we tend to think of our parents as immortal. They're very mortal and it's tough to have to lose one to realize that. I took care of my dad for 5-6 years while he lived alone. He'd gotten to be immobile and couldn't do some things on his own. I had to learn patience and not to get upset with pop because he wasn't in good health. I learned more from him over those 6 years than our whole lives. Any time is good time to spend with your parents so enjoy each day like it's the very last.
Well I enjoyed listening..I am 80 yes old, but my first reaction to this was EDGAR Allen Poe . The Crow who said NEVER MORE...until old age arrives you cannot imagine. Also NOT All parents are fit to be parents. Humour helps.
Lost my mom 1973 and my daddy 2019. 50yrs she's been gone and he soo recently it feels. I'm surrounded by him as if he's still near. This is very heartfelt and hope my two will not be mad at me when I dk anymore.
I'm old now. I've knocked on many doors. Some fed me. But they all turned me away. Yes, even my 2 sons. Now I have to find my place to live till I die. Alone.
I'm very sorry to hear that, don't give up on your sons like they did with you. Make the really understand that you still love them, because they are your sons, whatever the measure. They much be willing to still help you, I wish you the best.
I loved my Mother with all my heart and Soul, She was my Bestie, I gave her my time , my love and all the Patience there was to give !! It was all about her and I made her comfortable, treated her like the Queen she was!! My mom was the best Mom ever hardly said No to us meaning me , my 2 brothers and 1 sister! Ms. Celia (myMom)was Love ❤️
I lost my dad, uncle & 2 Aunties from Dementia 5 years ago. All sister's & brothers. Now, we have our Momma who has been diagnosed with Alzheimers. I hate this disease. It turns a person into someone they are not or nor woud they do the odd things they do. I PRAY they find a cure, for a illness they have NO IDEA how a person gets it or if it is hereditary or not.? 4 people in my dad's family had it, it is a very scary & challenging illnesses.

One time my mum asked me how long it took me to get to the airport. I said, "Four hours." She asked me again. A third time I replied, "Four hours.." Finally, after the fourth time she asked the same question, my brother stepped in to respond. He also held up his four digits and gestered as though he was driving a car. After that, Mum said, "Oh." like she got it. I was left wondering what she couldn't understand and how verbal miscommunication could occur. That exchange seemed frustrating. Still is befuddling to me now since she repeated "four". Maybe mum wasn't expecting to hear that answer.?
When I mom started with dementia, she would ask the same questions all the time,,,I always answered her, but sometimes she would say, I just asked you that right, I would say yes and she would laugh at me and say oh well answer me again. And I did.
,my mom had alzheimers, and even a note from the Dr, the family didn't believe me. that made it a harder struggle. the Dr's said I was doing fine, taking care of her!
It tells us in our Bible to honor our mothers & fathers, to Love God, it also says there will come a time where children will hate thier parents, Dark times before the return of Jesus
I think it all depends on the individual and how he or she thinks and views the world. Not all kids will act in the same manner just as not all adults will react the same way.
here is my thoughts, when asked a question, the answer is more than one word. a crow is more than a name, look up information that fully answers, a shared 'learning moment'
Telling the story slow makes it more authentic It is told with more care.. More understandable, and gives a better effect. Then again you can always change the speed.
@@JamesParker1998 Maybe.... I just didn't think it believable coming from this "actor". I was making a joke anyway. But I do think his performance will deter people from listening to the whole message which is about respect and love to your elders/parents.

Beautiful story, mother lived with me the last 12 years of her life, and I was always delighted to see my three adult kids give her so much time.
Thank you! I always was kind to my parents when they were old. I loved both of them. Miss both so much. Janelle in Houston

My parents passed over young. Mom was 59 and Dad 64. I did not get the privilege of taking care of them in their old age.
Lovely story. However, it seems younger people do not get it. I do not wish to bother my children because I feel like a damn burden to them.
Many of us learn this AFTER THE FACT!

it's a Raven!
The first time I heard this story it was a sparrow.
in ancient times, the crows appetence ,was a sign of death , or someone is about to leave your life . native American .
