Frankly shows how backward we are at tracking. We are incapable of even giving the illusion of privacy to our citizens, and had to boot out the VPN companies..
There goes a bunch of jobs

Surrounded by two enemies, it is only logical to remove and regulate VPN.
Most kids or people with a childish mindset don't understand matters of national security.

the thing about VPNs is that every Five Eyes nation requires VPNs to disclose information when demanded but they still operate unhindered. It is a precarious situation as the terrorist threat is real and using VPNs by them is also hindering protection of Indian citizens. Well we can use other country servers while the local servers can comply because the content accessed by Indian servers is mostly not that great.

There's a good and a bad side to it, net neutrality without being controlled by a tyrant is what makes us different from China.. we want unadulterated news and freedom of what we do with our data. If you aren't someone who goes around blogs and expresses your concerns on many things about the government and their propaganda then you wouldn't understand.

Great step by government.. If u r not doing anything wrong U don't have to worry in providing services.. But ur business and ur business profits r not more important than our country national security.. Let them go..

It's not about profits but it's more about privacy. VPN's very purpose is to protect your privacy. But the Indian Government is forcing them to log records so that they can breach into your privacy. It's like what CCP does.

@@s.ks.k6328 Those are the free ones. And obviously if you use those type of apps or any untrustworthy apps then that's harmful as well. That's why you need to read the terms and policies properly before using any of those.
Indian government is trying to become the CCP as well.

If U r not doing anything wrong U don't required VPN.. U ppls r da same who says "Paper Nahi Dikhaenge" but once U enter in other countries, U ppls r holding all documents in ur hand for immigration clearance..

@@s.ks.k6328 I have been to Singapore, Canada and for your question China as well. And I know how they track their citizens. Indian government is slowly trying to do the same for it's own citizens as well.
And VPN isn't only used for doing wrong activities.
There are certain things that your own government tries to hide from their citizens and hence ban them to hide reality.
But if you have VPN you can easily access those things and see the actual thing.
