Despite using the VPN app and selecting a different location, whenever I check my IP address on Google it shows my real location rather than the chosen one. This makes it clear that the VPN service is not hiding my actual location as it's supposed to. The SurfShark VPN company address is Kabelweg 57, 1014BA Amsterdam, Netherlands, so anyone who has experienced similar issues should file a fraud complaint with "SCAMADVISER," which handles scams in that country. Moreover, irrespective of the chosen protocol or location on the VPN app, when I check the local forecast weather, it still shows my actual location, not the one selected through the app. It's evident that the VPN service is not performing its intended function of masking my IP address and location.
Who owns and controls these VPN's - you could have drilled down further. Unless the owner of the VPN is a known publicly listed company (Google, Microsoft, Norton), the owner of the VPN could ULTIMATELY be based in China, Eastern Europe, Russia. Being based in any country is not the ultimate owner - many China based companies are based in the US Please drill down further. Surely, a VPN based in Panama is done for a reason, to hide its ownership. ALSO, streamers are getting wise and REQUIRE location data - hence, being in China or Australia and connecting to a US server does not allow me to stream by TH-camTV, Sling, Hulu in the US.
well... technically, you can say that about everyone and everything because we all export and import from China directly, or indirectly. VPN's have it made, sitting on 'gold-mine', and don't even know it..

Yes, a VPN will work for banking while you're traveling in Europe. Using a VPN can enhance your security and privacy by encrypting your connection, especially on public Wi-Fi networks. Make sure to connect to a server in your home country to avoid any issues with your bank's security protocols.
Less privacy laws than say Switzerland (which has the strongest privacy laws). If we keep picking and choosing based on country which is 'safe' that really narrow down the selection. All these VPN companies, and only 2 out of the 4 are deemed "safer" 😆 Laws can also change too.
FYI, at time of writing (June 2024), NordVPN no longer works in JORDAN due to recent legislation banning VPNs. It works lightning fast outside Jordan. I'm told ExpressVPN still works IN Jordan, but for how much longer?
Thanks great video. I am wondering if I can use a VPN on my router and protect all my devices. Would hooking it up to your router count as 1 device even though there may be other devices connected?
Save your money, folks. Surfshark VPN is a fraud! It doesn't matter what device you're using or what location you've chosen through the app. Either way, it should not be showing your real location's weather forecast or your location on Google Maps when the VPN app is enabled. That's the whole point of having a VPN is to hide your real location and IP address. Which it's NOT doing! The VPN service is a scam and should be reported to the authorities. 🤬
@rappere11 You can do that, but routers that offer the ability out of the box can be pricey. I would take a look to see if there is a DDWRT custom firmware available for your router which could add support? Or alternatively building your own router using PfSense. And yes, doing so does count as one single client even though all of your devices have access to the endpoint you select. (Heads up - I didn’t realise I was going to ramble on when I started typing haha pardon the wall of text 😅) Here’s my experience with the above: I have a few raspberry pi’s on my network with pi-hole instances, and I’m running unbound which enables me to host my own recursive DNS servers within my local network. What I did to enable network wide VPN access was to install the Linux ExpressVPN client on one of my RPis and configured iptables to route all traffic through the pi, which was pointing to one of their servers in my country. I could still connect to different servers internationally on a per device basis if I needed to, with more than enough bandwidth available even with the additional hop in place. I had my fun but quickly abandoned this setup - sort of inconvenient as I was getting hammered with captcha requests all over the place (probably better to use Cyberghost and have them allocate a dedicated IP that would solve that issue) and I’d configured it to drop all traffic should the VPN disconnect, so if I needed to switch servers the network would drop every time. They had no ipv6 support either which was a ball ache and having to access the terminal on my phone or pc every time I needed to switch to another local server for any reason became cumbersome. Tbh, I wouldn’t bother with this if privacy/security is your main reason for wanting to do so. I already run my own DNS servers locally, and host my own vpn so that my devices automatically tunnel through my home lab and have encrypted access to my DNS servers wherever I am in the world at all times. This encrypts my WLAN connections to public networks and ensures I am always behind my own firewall. I am the administrator of the entire signal chain within my direct control. On top of that, I am employed by the ISP I use so I trust that my privacy is secure with my upstream provider because I have admin access to their network and know for sure that our privacy policies and network security best practices are properly enforced. Realistically, running all of my traffic through a 3rd party VPN would be less secure because I don’t have any access to their network and cannot know for sure how my data is being handled beyond what they claim. Trust is good, control is better. Your ISP will be able to see that you’re obfuscating your activity from them because they will see the IP of the VPN server you’re connected to, and as long as you don’t have any DNS leaks they won’t be able to monitor your activity. You are then trusting your VPN provider with your data. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ and if I had to speculate on who would stand to gain more from brokering my data it would be the VPN provider for sure. Beyond the ability to encrypt traffic between your devices and public WLAN access points - a 3rd party VPN should not be viewed as a privacy tool or a means to online anonymity. I only use a VPN service for bypassing geo-restrictions on content and services. I definitely recommend hosting your own VPN for security when away from home if you want to improve your InfoSec 🤙 Check out Pi-Hole, PiVPN and Unbound for this if you’re interested.
hi !! 1-) when the vpn random disconect with wireguard what can cause it ? another question 2-) why download speed is limited under 500 Mbps on auto protocoll with the vpn service ?
WireGuard disconnects can be caused by unstable internet, configuration errors, overloaded servers, or software bugs. Download speed limitations under 500 Mbps with auto-protocol are likely due to encryption overhead, server bandwidth, distance, or a slower compatible protocol choice. Try a different server or consider manual protocol selection for improvement.

Access to company YT channels in different countries from a my country is difficult due to the two-step identification (it is not always possible to reach the local colleague who receives the code). Please suggest a solution to ease this process. Can VPN be a solution?
Yes, a VPN can be a solution. By virtually changing your location, a VPN lets you access region-locked content, potentially including company TH-cam channels with different verification processes. This avoids relying on colleagues for verification codes. Remember, VPN use might have limitations set by the company you're trying to access content from.
I used Express Vpn for a month . Developed a problem where I could not access certain popular websites. Had to manually change service location sites. they have lousy customer service. Will be getting full refund and switching to another service.
Which plan on surfshack have the camouflage option please, and does it means using Nordvpn some websites with network restrictions can still block you?
Hey there, all Surfshark plans come with the Camouflage option! As for NordVPN, the most effective way is to try it out firsthand since its effectiveness varies depending on the website.
i had nordvpn and express both working for some point in time with different servers but now for some reason my phone updated everything and now i cant them to work having same issue nothing seems to be working
I have to restart my computer often to activate the Norton VPN function. Their solution is complicated and I do not wish to go thru that. Maybe other VPN providers will not have this issue? My D/L speed is cut by 2/3 when VPN is active. Hope VPN technology improves to allow close to max speed.
They all share your data. Even Nord whom for years advertised that they dont share your data. If you read the terms and agreements you'll see that they work with a partner company and this partner company will share your data.
I give my vote to NORD VPN. It is the best in the world. It is more expensive than it used to be. when I first got NORD VPN, I paid $120 for 3 years, Now Is $166.00 for 2 years. I think NORD VPN is too expensive. They have all the bells and whistles and because of that I give them all the credit in the world. MR. NORD VPN, can u take it easy with your prices? I like you. I want you to be part of my computer and devices as long as I live. Thanks. 🤔
I have a question? What are we being protected from on a VPN that without VPN ? If the government wants your data they will just get it Yes security is important to me as long as that is truly happening on the level of my understanding- Another question is isn't there advantages to knowing it's you so your access to your information and ID is yours? Interesting but not really?
the government physically cannot know what you're looking at past a vpn unless said vpn records it themselves then they would have to go through the vpn to get said information atleast as far as I'm understanding that doesn't mean they don't have other methods of following your foot print and a vpn is useful for getting past geo location blocks on services
Short answer: Any of the VPNs that have US-based servers should allow this as long as the server hasn't been flagged by the particular site you are going to. Longer answer: Sometimes a well-used server gets flagged as a VPN server by websites and those websites will shut down any connection coming from that server. Sometimes it's because a hacker used that particular server to do some kind of attack on the website, so for security reasons, the website shuts off all access through that particular VPN server. I've experienced that with every VPN service I've used, but almost always there is another server that doesn't get flagged. So, YMMV. I'd suggest getting a one-month subscription to a VPN that you think might work and then use that month to put it to the test for all of the various use cases.
Which vpn will be good for streaming for UK and Netherlands based ott apps streaming from India.had of thought of configuring in router.Need suggestions from someone

I bought express vpn specifically for youtube tv. I am connected to Salt Lake City but it will not be fooled. It still always can see that i am in las vegas and will not allow access. What a joke
The last update on 1/25/2024 left an error 0xffffffff installation failed cant be resolved is anyone else getting this error? ExpressVPN support can't fix
Just keep clearing cache, uninstalling Netflix updates, rebooting TV … sometimes takes up to 20 attempts and Netflix via Express is humming again. Still works!
I use it some but with Secure Core engaged internet speeds really take a hit. Still, for the truly paranoid, it is really locked down for being secure.
None of these have a live customer service person you can speak to. Also I notice when I had a question on setting up Nord and I sent a chat or was it email (it was a few years ago), I had to wait 24 hours for a response, if lucky.
ya, telephones are old hat on the internet now...... Live chat 'bots' are all the rage 😆 I mean some use chat direct with human, others probably have to jump through hoops, thinking their 'helping out customer' A 'bot' is nothing but a 'stupid bot'
@@HTXGalI can't speak for others, but Express VPN does have humans.. I've used both and have not notice any significant speed difference... it may be due to a combination of factors (your ISP, the particular VPN servers you are connecting to, etc...) I just bought a new Surface Pro 11th edition. I am finding out that all these VPN's are not compatible because of the new chip Microsoft is using. Any suggestions would be grateful.
Odd. You can try finding a FOSS that works on your machine and then configure it to go through the VPN servers of the provider of your choice. OpenVPN has worked for me when running VPN services on various machines, so I'd be surprised if there isn't something similar that would work for your scenario. I have to restart my computer often to activate the Norton VPN function. Their solution is complicated and I do not wish to go thru that. Maybe other VPN providers will not have this issue? My D/L speed is cut by 2/3 when VPN is active. Hope VPN technology improves to allow close to max speed.
Words can be
empty, but the impact is real 😊
They all share your data. Even Nord whom for years advertised that they dont share your data. If you read the terms and agreements you'll see that they work with a partner company and this partner company will share your data.
Thank you for this information.
Thank you very much for informing me
What are your thoughts about IPVanish? Thanks
Idk yal but mine favorite is tunnel bear, not only bc you get 2gb of free usage, i genuinely like it
Best video bro
Nice channel with fantastic information ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
so nice video thank you
I give my vote to NORD VPN. Thanks. 🤔
NordVPN is a Lithuanian company. that is all i need to know (and why i went 'elsewhere' for my VPN)
Proton vpn work best for me.
Do you use the free version?
Yes. And it's also recommended by privacyguide site
@@GoosecabooseeeI did on my Chromebook to watch 5 hours straight of Eurovision and I don’t remember any issues.
I have a question? What are we being protected from on a VPN that without VPN ? If the government wants your data they will just get it
Yes security is important to me as long as that is truly happening on the level of my understanding-
Another question is isn't there advantages to knowing it's you so your access to your information and ID is yours? Interesting but not really?
the government physically cannot know what you're looking at past a vpn unless said vpn records it themselves then they would have to go through the vpn to get said information atleast as far as I'm understanding that doesn't mean they don't have other methods of following your foot print and a vpn is useful for getting past geo location blocks on services
VPN's have no logs. Your information is wiped free daily.
Very well explained ❤❤❤
which one enables me to go shopping page on chrome all based in USA?

Which one of it works the best in China?
Excellent video 👏
For gaming, which one is the best please?
Hi, NordVPN would be my pick! 🙌
PIA
I need a vpn to trade, I live in US but the platform I plan to use doesnt allow US citizens so I’m using Mexico id and address so I need to switch my location, which one would be the best
tambien quiero saber
I just need something that will allow me to stream Houston area.
I bought express vpn specifically for youtube tv. I am connected to Salt Lake City but it will not be fooled. It still always can see that i am in las vegas and will not allow access. What a joke
How many servers does nord vpn have? I am torn between nord and express.
Hi, currently it has more than 6200 servers! 🙌
They're both good and have a ton of servers.
Surfshark, No Borders feature is gone in Android app, anyone?
interesting comparison vid
Please i need an answer i want to purchase VPN today 😫
thank you very much
What about the countries. Which of these VPN will allowme to connect to Venezuela from USA?
Hi, thanks for your question! You can connect to a server in Venezuela with all 4 of the mentioned providers. 🙌
Best VPN on the market and no mention of Proton?? This a joke???
I use it some but with Secure Core engaged internet speeds really take a hit. Still, for the truly paranoid, it is really locked down for being secure.
I have Express VPN and satisfied but it turns off with out notice.
None of these have a live customer service person you can speak to. Also I notice when I had a question on setting up Nord and I sent a chat or was it email (it was a few years ago), I had to wait 24 hours for a response, if lucky.
ya, telephones are old hat on the internet now...... Live chat 'bots' are all the rage 😆 I mean some use chat direct with human, others probably have to jump through hoops, thinking their 'helping out customer'
A 'bot' is nothing but a 'stupid bot'
Same. No support.
@@HTXGalI can't speak for others, but Express VPN does have humans..
Perhaps we just say all bots online so therefore its more convenient to extent that to 'paid' services we have never used, because we always prefer free stuff
Free... yes, bots only.. You do pay extra, but we continue to be blindsided by the fact you pay extra for 'something' OTHER than a rip-off..... If no one can understand that fact, then perhaps users do deserve to be hacked.. i dunno...
what will convince people. ??? There are good deals out there, but often mistake a 'deal' the same as 'free''
No, there IS A difference.
Ill move to nord vpn, been using the express von but it is very slow.
I've used both and have not notice any significant speed difference... it may be due to a combination of factors (your ISP, the particular VPN servers you are connecting to, etc...)
It's been a few months... what has your experience with NordVPN been since making the switch (assuming you've switched already)?
Where did you see it being 2$ cause it's like 30 now
Nice explanation
Using Nord vpn 😊
My Chinese friend has a VPN and has been trying to sign up for a FaceBook account but gets rejected each time. Anyone have an idea why that might be?
For making social media accounts you should use residential proxys instead of using VPN!
Can I use nord with 1password?
Thank you.
Hey there! You can definitely use both NordVPN & 1Password on the same device with little to no issues!
@VPNprochannel thank you.
Proton vpn the best
I just bought a new Surface Pro 11th edition.
Github and Reddit forums are your friends.
I'm in the uk and want to stream my sky sports package while i'm on holiday in the usa. Which would be best VPN to use? . I'd be streaming on my mobile phone
surfshark would be best for you as a lot of survers are around Europe and and some in us and has good mobile features such as hiding your gps location.
I’ve never had express vpn log out issues. Nord vpn keep log out and stop working. I’m try surf shark next year.
I just got cyber ghost let's see
why not talk about astrill, i used several of them and astrill probably the best, and most expensive
I travelled to nigeria and im unavke to access my prime opinion survey, what vpn woukd you recommend for me?
Using a proxy or VPS will be very okay
there is a vpn with lifetime license key ?
What about kill switch and DNS leaks?
ExpressVPN has a kill switch and dns leak detection ..
Nopt sure about others,, i'm sure they would but i've only ever used ExpressVPN
Express, Nord, Surfshark and CyberGhost all have a Kill Switches.
Great keep it
How about if you want to cancel your subscription
Which VPN provider is able to use in China? Thanks
None. Save your money.
@Val-Yob vpns, especially surfshark vpn are nothing but a scam. They need to be reported to ScamAdviser.
can confirm Nord and Express VPN do NOT work in China currently
None of the VPNs recommended by this guy works in China. If you see any site that recommends Nord, Express, Surfshark then leave. They get paid to lie.
Nice video sir
Yes
NORDVPN STILL THE KING! 👑
THANKS FOR THIS!
Thanks for watching! 🙌
Use mullvad nord loves your data lol
New to vpn,can you use one to download content from a Patreon site that has blocked me?
