I'm glad how Baraka turned out in this game, he has one of if not the coolest design, his story makes you feel for him, he's not just a jobber anymore, he's an actual good dood and gameplay wise he is really strong and fun to play as. I'm just super happy about it cause he's always been my favorite character.

First time playing a MK game online. Ran into three teams of Baraka and Cyrax doing the literal same combos and basically getting me into touches of death What a lovely first time experience
yea the top tiers are on a different level in this game bc of the kameos. mileena, kenshi, cage, baraka are a literal snoozefest each time i play them on KL. have fun when you eventually bump into them ;)
I remember when Ed Boon said something about how Kameos would bring more variety to the game, since even if you use the same kharacter it was likely that the Kameo was different, changing the gameplay and thus allowing players to have a diverse environment... well, that didn't age well xDD
A super cool thing I just noticed with Baraka is that he actively bleeds whenever he does something for shoots out or breaks off one of his bone blades from his arms.
Nothing wrong with playing what you enjoy, but there is a certain irony in Maximilian ‘Player expression’ Dood playing THE online team in this variety heavy game. Baraka is sick tho
Talking about Sareena for a second, I think if you get a hit in after she throws the knives then they shouldn’t come back. I’ve had a handful of times where I slip the assist and start a combo only have the knives hit me out of it on the way back. THATS what needs to go.
Man I was excited to get to learn Baraka just cause he felt naturally smooth for me when I chose him out of the blue. Then my buddy decided to play with johnny cage and holy shit he makes baraka feel so slow! All his attacks seem to come out and hit before baraka's attacks; jabs and strings. That Johnny could be a problem. First experienced before the p1 v p2 patch, but still felt the same.
Had no clue that i was rocking the best combo in the game. I chose Cyrax because he's my favorite cyber ninja. His net move is really good at giving you some breathing room to start your combos with Baraka.
I'm waiting all day for these MK1 uploads Max lol. These other games seems to have your attention. I can relate. I make damn sure to hit these like buttons!
Honestly the sound design gets overlooked a lot in games as it is. It’s REALLY good in this game. Everything is just so meaty and sharp. Probably the best sounding game I’ve played in a hot minute.
It’s hilarious that when the game came out people just brushed off cyrax like “wtf is this helicopter move” and for right now he’s the best kameo in the game🤣
I def. don't see that. Cyrax is def prob. the best for Baraka, but best Kameo is def. subjective for each character. I just recently picked up Li Mei, and Scorpion really elevates her dmg potential, so I'm thinking at least for Li Mei, Scorpion works best.
@@Darisuke havik has a guaranteed chip you to death with cyrax without a flawless block gap, johnny cage can set up hype meter with cyrax and his damage skyrockets, scorpion with cyrax builds insane meter and insane chip damage with his kunai spin and cyrax chopper move.
If you can, learn how to flawless block the gap in his block string, it negates all chip for a couple seconds and is pretty easy to time once you figure it out
Max ability to adapt the opponent gameplay is crazy fast, he maybe got beaten really bad on the first round but after that he makes sure will beat the opponent next round 😅
I was gonna say that I liked how much Kauai Liang fit with Serena gameplay wise, since she was sorta his romantic interest in Sub Zero Mythologies. But then I realized that was Bi Han
I normally don’t have issues with chip damage in this game but given how easy baraka combos are, the fact he can button mash to chip down 1/3 of my health with a combo that I block from beginning to end with no openings between attacks is pretty wild. Maybe just reduce HIS chip damage and I’d be fine with it.
If I may suggest something to counteract this, go in practice mode and practice flawless blocking the third or fourth hit of his down forward 2 special. A lot of baraka players are playing him the same way, and learning to flawless block will negate any chip damage and dismantle their game plan
I want to see the conversation where Liu Kang has to explain to Baraka how he lovingly crafted the destiny where Baraka gets the monster curse disease.
Early Access day one ISDD took his boyhood character labing a bit with Cyrax to make those combos work. Day 2 : clone day ... and the legend of the team begun. I was there.
@@Urlastnerve I know. The best bet with Baraka before he gets nerfed is to try and learn to flawlessly block his strings to avoid chip damage. And I recommend blocking low almost all the time, he has very few overheads and that lil hop he does is totally reactable. You got this!
He can’t play him because smoke is realy frustrating in online matches… his cancels never come out… so it’s not realy that fun! which he said smoke is fun overall but not online.
Neat little thing I noticed with Raiden at the end, while he was blocking Baraka strings he ended up getting his glowy eyes. Apparently that tells you he's now taking 50% less chip damage while blocking from what people say, which is kinda neat, especially when Baraka is doing hella chip damage atm.

And flawless block takes no chip. So if you flawless block the first hit in a string you're also flawless blocking the remaining hits in that string as long as you hold block.

I think smoke is the fastest character. Hes like ken from Street Fighter types of speed.

Chip just needs to scale like combos do. Strong,ulti hit strings should simply do less damage later into the string.
