Ok so now India has 19 submarines out of which 3 are Nuclear !! This will become 26 submarines by the end of 2026 out of which 7 will be nuclear. Wow!! Our navy is really expanding rapidly. And by 2030 we will have 13 nuclear submarines and 24 diesel electric submarines. So 24+13 = 37 submarines. 😁 And, ya our navy may procure small midget submarines designed by L&T for special operations. But, those subs will be small like, they will hold only 700 ton displacement,so I won't count them on the list.

Congress policy was that if India develop infrastructure along LAC China will show aggression so Congress didn't focus on infrastructure development along LAC and North eastern Region .

I think our navy should build more submarines instead of a third carrier. Carriers are visible deterrents as well as a high value target. Submarines are invisible assassins capable of scaring the enemy even without being seen. It's a better deterrent.

Not possible because it is built by navy and they don't have more capacity to built more submarines at a time.. But other Indian companies do build diesel electric submarines but currently india is short of submarines so hence we can't export to others.

Well Diesel-electric subs are quieter while running in electric mode, but must at some point surface or pop up a snorkel to run their diesel engines and recharge the batteries. When the diesel engines are running, these noisier than nuclear-powered subs.
Standing below the sea level of 1000 meter of depth, sounds emitting from a good hydrodynamical shaped & entwined with well advanced technologies are much harder to detect & can avoid both magnetic anomaly detection via the MAD sensor of an ASW aircraft & via enemy ASW surface combat ships & hunter-killer subs, if relying on its advanced passive sensors & has most accurate electronic charts of navigation. It is harder to detect a standing modern nuclear ballistic missile carrying submarine, not moving & hiding in that much of depth.

While diesel electric sub is useful in a sea where average depth is 800-900 meters & shallow waters warfare in coastal sea. India needs nuclear submarines to use in thd Bay of Bengal which is way deeper than 1000 meters & suitable for operation of nuclear submarines while the Arabian sea welcomes the movement of AIP based diesel electric submarines. In Pakistani coastal sea depth is even short than 400-500 meters somewhere. Scorpene submarines will better perform there.

Carriers are much more useful in peace time. They can distribute humanitarian aid and evacuate large numbers of people from dangerous situations. I understand China is focusing on helicopter carriers for this reason.
