What a great video. Rather than having a hand-held cell phone recording the video, you've got a camera that lets you use both hands!!! Imagine! Next, you keep your workspace organized and clean. Great help. The instructions you give are concise and correct. The only thing that hung me up was making sure the key was extended when replacing the spring and retainer assembly. All in all, one of the best how-to videos I've seen. Thanks a lot!

This is a good video. I was able to fix my Acura key. One thing: Inside the head of the key itself is a removable metal part that has a cam stop. This can get worn too, and causes the key to be loose. You can use the metal cam insert from the blank replacement key and it totally fits.

They are actually going to program the new key, but the thing is that it actually takes 5 min to do it.

Thanks I had to pry and break the old
key fob because the old screws near the key were seized and stripped. After I did that the replacement went well.

Question, my original key ripped off and I just ordered the eBay key fob. So in my case all I have to do is make the new key and then just take apart the bottom half of the remote, remove the chip and and place it in the new one?

Can combine the back cover of the OEM key with the Acura logo, and fit it to the new ebay key? im guessing it should fit right in.
