Finally swapped my unit out, and it works great. Some instructions for A4 B7 to relearn door function on upgraded Fob: - unlock door with upgraded key - insert key into ignition and turn to 'on' position - close the door and roll window down as a precaution (escape) - press the 'unlock' button on the Fob - lock the door with the door button (not with Fob) - unlock the door with the door button (not with Fob) - remove your key from ignition Test it out to confirm
It will really depend on the damage and you're welcome to text us a photo of the damaged key. It's likely okay if the remote still works and it starts the vehicle. Reach out with a photo and we'll confirm.

I just did the same bought a new case on EBAY and forgot to transfer the transponder chip, all working now power of you tube...A+++

Yes, sometimes you will have to reprogram the remote. It can be done yourself, it's easy to do and there are videos showing how on TH-cam.
