- Don't let the weird name fool you: This is totally a Bomberman game. In fact, it's one of the first Bomberman titles to have evolved the series beyond the basic maze action design, incorporating an adventure element, an economy, and a smartly balanced customizable power-up scheme. Weird that such an important entry in the long-running franchise would be hidden away behind an unrelated name… but that's the choppy localization history of Bomberman for ya.

I love Game Boy world. Something about the Game Boy is just fascinating to me.
The naming seems to stem from an IREM-released arcade port of Bomberman, also from 1991. I guess Hudson felt that in this moment the arcade version's name had more cache than the NES version?
Bummer, man
Eric and the floaters
This was called Dynablaster in Europe. There was also a Dynablaster arcade machine here (I remember playing one of them in an arcade in Weymouth in the early 90s, anyway), which had different stages, bosses, and was presumably a retitled version of yet another Bomberman game.
One of my local arcades (US) had an Atomic Punk arcade game. I wonder if it was the same as your Dynablaster?
TopSpot123 the Amiga version was also dynablaster.
I clearly remember a Bomberman arcade here in Europe in 92-93.
3:35 dammit Parish, put the bomb in the corner!!
The what in the which now?
Nobody puts Bomby in the corner!
Yay for Game Boy World returning!
Been patiently waiting for some new Game Boy World. Great episode as usual.
That bit about the various localization made my head hurt.
THANK YOU! KID!
This was my first exposure to Bomberman. And apparently I remember almost nothing about it.
You learn something new every day. Bomber Boy on Game Boy.
I quite like the box art, even though it has nothing to do with anything
I often see this in Japan, CIB, mint condition, for really cheap.
SOMEONE SET US UP THE--- oh, you made that joke, already.
Also, it is weird to think that Bomberman was once not a popular franchise here.
I really enjoyed this game.
Am I wrong or the game was also called DynaBlaster here in Europe?
It was called Dynablaster in Europe.
Dark Age of Konami? I think I just found the name of my nerdcore/ska fusion band.
LOST A KID !
Was expecting Misato to give a peek into the next episode at the end

Kid: Can I have Bomberman?
Parent: We have Bomberman at home.
Bomberman at home:
I already know what'S coming up next... One of my least favorite Game Boy games ever, and one of the worst things Konami released in their 8-Bit days... Oh dear.
