I was really anxious watching this because I thought that Saturn Bomberman is not even on the list anymore. After all, it was released 20 years ago. We played this all night in the 90ies and I have two 6-Player Adapters and 10 controllers, even though it is really only good for up to 8 players, because the screen is really small in 10-Player mode. Haven't played in in years but I guess now its time to hook my Saturn up to the TV once more.
Super Bomber Man 5 should be included, even though it was only released in Japan. Not only is it challenging, there are quite a few Easter eggs and you can complete the levels by taking alternate paths.

The DS one was great. You just had to have friends with a ds (They didn't need the game) and you could play it where ever you went. It also had a story mode
God I love that game. Even battling by yourself is still fun. Weirdly enough that one was published by Ubisoft.

For me Hero deserves it's own list of 10 most difficult levels. Also it's the best bomberman game

To be honest they left out like half the best games in the series like the DS entries and that speaks volumes. If the list was solely for american's then it makes me wonder why they even bothered since a large chunk of Bomberman games never got released in the US.

one of my first games for n64 back in the 90s was Bomberman 64.. It was such an amazing game.
Bomberman DS 2 was my personal favourite! Runner up was Bomberman World for the PS1, my introduction to the franchise!

Yeah that's a hidden gem I just found just searching up 10 player games and it's on a PC I can pretty much run on any system of Microsoft Windows I tested it recently worked on Windows 10 fine I'm sad that nobody's picked it up in modded it it definitely needs some more cleaner environment for the options to bind keys and controllers as the only option to navigate the menus seems to be keyboard to press escape for back button

My friend you might want to take a look at Bomberman Story and Bomberman 2 DS because they're really solid entries for story as well. :) I do agree though for the record, tournament was awesome.
Already played them both, great games. I feel like my nostalgia for tournament increases my love for the game.

Adam The Gamer I remember when I was about 13 years ago when I went to buy a game for my Gameboy Color at GameStop I saw Wario Blast, the second I've seen the game I had to buy it! Man I absolutely loved Wario Blast, I mean I played it over multiple times as a kid, that was actually my first Bomberman game too.
So happy to see Bomberman '93 get some love. Did NOT expect to see Bonk in this video! That #1 choice sounds awesome. Wish I could play it!
I'm pretty disappointed that Hero did not make the list. That game is an incredible platformer!

but SB5 only have a 1 new world, more than 60% of sprites and levels are re-used
the Bomberman 64 games were amazing! I spent many hours on the second one. many games in the 64 era didn't include a multiplayer story mode, but this one had an amazing one! the only problem I saw was player two couldn't help with boss battles.
I had a lot of awesome fun memories with Saturn Bomberman. How I wish I can gather my old friends again and play that game.

OMG, just 2 days after I've got the permission to use bomberman as the basis of my Computer Science final project in college, you guys release this.
You have no idea how wet my eyes got when I saw Mega Bomberman on the second spot, as it was the bomberman game that I have played the most since I was a child.

Bomberman 64: The Second Attack has always been my favorite in the series, and it makes me happy to see that it made a high spot on he list.
I’m late to the party, but yes, that game deserves a lot of praise.
This series was pretty popular with my entire family back in the day. Hell my first video game was bomberman 2. I played like 1 through 4, and one on the 64. Wow i didn't realize all these other titles existed. Awesome game.
Bomberman 3 is my all time favorite, but I have a special love for Saturn Bomberman.
Bomberman World on Ps1 is awesome too, and it has a great soudntrack with a great 5 multi player mode in battle mode .
saturn is overrated and bmworld is at its level but doesnt need fame because its better (even if rooies or tirras dont appear there)
What about "Bomberman Party Edition" (PS1) and "Bomberman Quest" (GBC)?
Quest was one of my favs.. Sadly it was too short!
Super Bomberman 2 is still my favorite, and one the first games I ever played as a kid.
I wanna chime in that Bomberman Fantasy Race for the PS1 (and digital download on PS3) is a pretty decent spin-off.
Where as most franchises trying to get in on the Mario Kart money train would just lazily throw their characters into go-karts, Fantasy Race used the Louies and Tirras (those kangaroos and dinosaurs) as the "vehichles" in-game.
It's far from the best racing game out there, but it's a fun time. A modern sequel would be amazing!
Atomic Bomberman had a level builder, sound effects you could change, I think up to 10 player multiplayer. It should have been on this list as the best PC version.

The Bomberman game on PS1 will always hold a place in my heart; I used to play it all the time - whether it be against my brothers, against the A.I. or through Single Player mode. It was such a great game, and had so much option and variety for everything.

I have the japanese version Bomberman World for the PS1.
I hated the english version due to the voice acting, it sounds like they got a child to voice all characters and it was awful.

I loved Bomberman Tournament on GBA - could never defeat that final boss. But it was a wonderful experience.

As a kid I rented Bomberman 64: The Second Attack and LOVED it! My mom couldn't find the cartridge anywhere though and wouldn't just pay the price to blockbuster to keep it. So I never got to keep the game I loved so much. I just looked up how much it is today and it's $200... If only my mom had paid the $30 price back then!!

Bomberman 64 The Second Attack was one of my most played childhood games! The multiplayer is also among the best on the N64. I kinda wanna play it now since I still have my cartridge, feels cool having a rare game.
Super Bomberman 2, Bomberman 64 and Bomberman Hero where the Bomberman games of my childhood, especially Bomberman 64 will always be my absolute favorite !! ^^

Thank you! It might not be the best out of them all, but it definitely was the best one I have ever played. The multiple characters, mounts, arenas, and all that made it my favorite game for years. (Excluding Eternal Eyes and Pokemon Silver of course hehe)
Not to mention multiplayer. This is what is the kicker for the entire series, it is MEANT for multiplayer, and as such has amazing multiplayer.

The Multi-player theme in Bomberman 94 is probably the most memorable music of any Bomberman game I've played

I shouldn't be surprised that "Wario Blast" wasn't mentioned on the list. It is the only handheld Gameboy game that I have ever played featuring Bomberman and Wario together duking it out on the small screen. It was always my favorite since the puzzles, boss fights and the satisfaction of blowing up either Wario or Bomberman became a highlight on this small unique title's existence.It also ironically introduced me to Bomberman as a videogame character and star in his own right.

I agree with Saturn Bomberman being #1. I just got it for Saturn, LOVE IT. For a 2D Bomberman game, I never thought Bomberman '94 or Super Bomberman 3 could be topped.

I thought Saturn Bomberman was one of those under-appreciated games in history! But yes it is definitely the best one I have played of them all!! I borrowed my cousins Sega Saturn just to play the co-op with my friend :D
