Great video bro thanks for explaining some of these beautiful materials..I would love a full video of you just explaining these materials a little deeper
Nice to see subtle signs of wear from carry and use on a few of your knives. For me the 'full dress' knives are too much. Like double denim. I like a few decorative touches. I splurged on my second integral a few weeks ago: Opinel #12.
Four years ago I decided to buy a decent pocket knife, having never carried a knife in 58 years on this planet. Did a little research and got a rat 1 in aus8. Still going strong. But it was the gateway into a full blown addiction.
I like wood, stagg, classic designs. Especialy in camp/hunting knives (which restricts me' to Buck or Boker). For an edc i chose the Boker urban trapper. Suits my taste and needs beautifully.
Effin Batman!! Lol it's 5 something in the morning my dog just had a huge surgery so I'm sitting up with her and decided to benge watch lol man Batman made my day!!! Love it
1ohtaf1 generally speaking and in most cases integral knives are the mark of the higher end. better? do you feel good again? what’s this trend of people having to pick on meaningless stuff like that about?
1ohtaf1 if you’re ignorant enough to not want to take not of replies to your questionable comment then maybe you should not comment in the first place, have a nice day
Read into what makes Damasteel a great bladesteel, not only looks, but performance as well. That goes for the same with Chad Nichols core San Mai blades. Again, not just for looks, but for performance too.
You’re killing me with that Rassenti .. I literally want to grab it through my phone screen and hold it!!! It’s amazing to look at! Great review as always 👏
I love great craftmanship and fancy materials, but timascus just makes knives look like they were eaten and shat out by a unicorn to me. I really prefer more subtle materials like damascus and zirconium, because you just look ridicoulous with a piece of rainbow titanium sticking out of your pocket.
Le Lemon I'm sort of the opposite; I've never really enjoyed damascus, but I love polished timascus. Way I see it, if you're gonna spend the cash to get showy materials, you might as well go all out.
Agree with you. But then you get into the 'traditional' slip joint segments (Case, Queen, GEC, etc) and the lines blur more. Partly due to what the scales are made of; partly due to steel; partly due to fit and finish. For example, plastic scales work just as well as say mammoth bone. But the mammoth bone will be more upscale.
If you like Damascus (or forging and knives in general) I highly recommend you check out Alec Steele. He has some incredible and very well made content, including making a frame lock knife :)
I must admit, and we can put this down to my knife naivety, but when you first showed off your Swish (earlier in the year) I thought it was a piss take and not a well built, serious knife. After you see it a few times you kind of want one.
Costache-Bobescu Ionuț apparently the friction between the bearings and the SM100 blade is greater than regular steels, so the action isn't as nice. Also it tends to change in color over time; not a bad characteristic necessarily, but something to keep in mind. It's also extremely difficult to sharpen and very few people know how to sharpen it well. Not to mention that it's difficult to work with when making the knife.
Actually damasteel and damascus are quite different in how they are made and in how they perform there is a really good video on mike emler's channel that you can look up called damasteel vs damascus if you want a good explanation of the difference between the two of them other then that that Nick great video as always and I'll include the link for anyone that wants to watch that video m.th-cam.com/video/QUG6P2m2Feg/w-d-xo.html

I still can't believe Spyder exists. Had one way back when I lived in Canada. Was overpriced junk then , and pretty sure it hasn't changed much after I watch any video with them.
You should be ashamed of yourself to say ugly cheap and awful about the Z Hunter we all know it's your secret love no admit it you think it's a 110% gem
that ugly worn look is annoying to see. such ruined knives look. someone put aliexpress clip art on there knives, thats even worse. the poor souls that buys them.
My newest saying, " Fall shutty smooth", cheers for that.

"but im also weird, oh god im weird"
- the guy that talks about $1000+ knives on youtube while wearing a batman mask.
much love nick!
Opinels are budget integrals 😂
HAHA TRUE !😂
I did a video on Opinels a few hours ago, and said exactly this! I’ve not uploaded it yet, but it will be out there in the next few weeks.

Awesome, thank you for explaining the knife materials explanations.
Just imagine how hard it is for nick to edc these knives for review at work

Batman at 11:30
Nick should totally make this into a shirt
Beautiful blades... 👍👍👍👍👍thanks for sharing..
4:26 "Integral knives are the mark of the higher end". Good to know that the cold steel pocket bushman is at the pinnacle of high end.

I love the torrent but I gotta say that green one sure is pretty...
Hey Nick
Niobium has beautiful colors when anodized, have you ever seen is on a knife?
Just once, on a set of scales for a Jon Graham fixed blade.
Can you review a ZT 0566?!

Man I want an Olamic Busker so bad!
Does he already have a buyer lined up for the 0454!?!?
14:17 Would not have guessed that is a pen.
An entire patina knife would be outstanding. In reinforced sterling silver or what have you.

That ZT 😍
Low end integral..
Higonokami!
Ah, I see you’re an accountant due to your face reveal
Nick, let's be real here. You just made this video to show off 100%
Heh, I had some fun pieces to show off. But my game is pretty weak relative to Skelton, e.g
So basically Bruce Wayne is Batman who is Nick Shabazz?! It’s secret identity-ception!
Well
Have you ever seen Bruce abd Nick in the same room?
Jus sayin
He just called titanium "vinilla"
Is it me or does the milithorin gen 2 look like a thero?
Does he wear a batmask in every video 😂😂😂 good job nick!
Fancy ones don't have the cutting edge flow into the compression lock... (cough cough)
Did you see the Spyderco - Blade HQ video?
He talked about it in his pre- review of the new mid year spydercos, and yes, that thing is terrifying
Holy crap, I had to go check, that Tropen is way off, probably still a proto but damn.
That's how it looks on the knifecenter per order!
what pen was that?
Tequila Sunrise Nirvana qualifies as fancy pocket knife. All done here! Next!
Hey Nick, looking at picking up a Grimsmo pen? :)
I'll definitely try and get one for review, but at $250 (which was their blade-show price), there's no way.
Oh, thank you. Did not know what the price was going to be. Same here on the price, but it will be good to see your review some day though.
Hi nick can I have your torrent thanks
Nick that nirvana is crazy man 😰
Batman is nick shabazz
What bad characteristics has sm100?From my point of view it's perfect except the price
I've heard that the toughness isn't exceptional, and it has a tendency to deform? But I've never had one.

We never has seen Nick and Batman in the same place at the same time. Just saying...
to be honest i like my knife to be simple and clean. all of these custom colouring and engraving and whatnot looks gaudy to me.
I aGareee with this. I like a plane slabe Ti knife.

How much did he want for the 0454?
You should ask him, he's @fondajane on Instagram :)
Ooof, if I have to ask that means it's a grand :P
Are you Batman? Damn, I knew something was up with you.
I’m Batman.
grreenarrrow No, I’m Batman.
What's the Instagram of the guy who made the custom Nirvana
Peter Rassenti.
The baths you'd be taking to make videos if you didn't have the best viewers on the planet. You should review your subscribers.
I agree completely. That'd actually be a great video.
If I took one of these art knives to a construction site...I'd be laughed at ..then with my luck id wind up dropping it in a outhouse...🙄
nick shabat confirmed
That's a lot of words to say the difference is about 200 bucks. :P
That Batman mask is so wrong. Haha
batmans nerdy cousin
I knew it.......he's..........
