New Control Arm with Ball Joint from 1AAuto.com 1aau.to/ia/1ASF...
This video shows you how to install a new quality TRQ upper control arm with ball joint in your 2001-2005 Ford Explorer Sport Trac. Control arms are a crucial part of the suspension system of your vehicle. They not only carry the load of the vehicle to the wheel, but they typically also maintain its alignment. Control arms are typically large and strong, so you may be surprised it needs replacing. They contain rubber bushings for smoother rides at the cost of eventual wear, or integrated ball joints that require replacing the entire arm when they wear.
This process should be similar on the following vehicles:
    2001 Ford Explorer Sport Trac
    2002 Ford Explorer Sport Trac
    2003 Ford Explorer Sport Trac
    2004 Ford Explorer Sport Trac
    2005 Ford Explorer Sport Trac

Your channel and videos are such a blessing!! I have a 2005 Ford Explorer Sport Trac that really need the exact repairs that you show on your videos and it helps my confidence tremendously being able to see the exact vehicle I'll be working on in your videos rather than "hoping" it will look like the one in the video! Great job! Thanks!

How do you know they need replacing

+Mike L. There could be multiple different reasons why you would need to replace these parts. We recommend contacting a local mechanic to determine if you do need to have the parts replaced.

My ST 2003 is different. Control arm on the passenger side has an adjuster. I don't know why right control arm is different from left control arm. Unfortunately that was not the same as shown in this video.

I DID IT!!! I pryed the fuel lines up with a pry bar and then pulled the arm towards me (I don’t know if u noticed but the bolt is in a slot, it can go back n forth) and I pulled the bolt out!!!
