There is a tool inside install kits that you stick in the four holes on the front of the radio to release it without disassembling all the other stuff.
My sport trac is acting weird where the radio and the whole dash will go out while its running and will randomly come on again. I took it to ford and they said it was the instrument cluster and its gonna cost $1000 what do yall think
Hey... I've been watching your videos. I just bought my son an extremely clean 03 sport trac. Checking out your videos on some future projects that I'm sure I'll be doing with him. I sure wish I got a nice truck like this when I was 17.
I just put this radio in my 2006 Ford Explorer and I love it but for some strange reason when I turn off the car the radio goes off. It seems like it doesn't have constant power. Any suggestions 🤔.
Love the vids man, your Sport Trac looks sick! Have an '05 myself and it's a great truck. Used your links to pick up the headunit and kit. Keep up the good work!
Just got an 03, and plan to use some of your AWESOME upgrades. Thanks for the videos! Can you stream video from phone to radio display with this BOSS model??
Hey bro I hate to keep commenting but I may have a lead. I just used my multimeter to test the DC. As I connected the radio piggy back to the factory harness I tested the factory harness end. It read 12 DC there. However at the bose radio head when I test the ground and power wires it reads -0 as the DC. Does that mean the radio or wire harness is bad?
Nice. Have you taken that stupid chime out of your truck yet? My key in ignition warning was always going off, even when the key wasn't in there and driving only 10' before the seatbelt reminder was going off was annoying too. It was behind the gauges and I had to take the gauge cluster out to get to it but at the same time I fixed the broken gear indicator too. It wasnt a tough job, I went in there blind but getting rid of that annoying seat belt/ignition chime was that best "upgrade" on my truck. Lmao
I followed your video and now the radio won't turn on at all. I soldered the wires together but before that the radio would briefly illuminate. Not sure if it's the wiring or solder I messed up. All fuses are good
@@munnday86 right, so I have the red, yellow, black and blue/white connected. Imma try redoing the soder since it's still not working. Do you think I'd need new harnesses?
My truck is a little different than this one and has the theft blinky light, will taking the old radio out and putting a new one in cause the truck to not work because of the anti theft? I don't know much about trucks if you can't tell😂
Hi bro I have a questiomn, did you used the factory bass? I recently purches my Explorer but the previous owner told me that the bass wasnt connected due the 7inch new stereo could damage the factory bass, I dont know if you or someone here could tell me if its ok used the factory bass with these kind os stereo.
Hey man I have a second wiring harness in the back of my radio, how do I wire it into an aftermarket radio? Is this the harness that runs my compass? Any help would be great man thanks!
I have a 2002 Ford Explorer Sport Trac that died, I've replaced battery, alternator, ckp sensor, rear timing chain tensioner, coil pack and downstream 02 sensor but still unable to get it to fire up, it'll turn over but not start. Please help me figure this out!!!
I'd do the same on my OEM Pioneer unit in my 2003 Sport Trac Adrenalin, but all the LEDs in the unit have gone dark. They will randomly come on for a few seconds every few months. Radio still works fine, but it's time for it to go.

Great video man... About to do an install on my 02. (Already ran wiring for backup camera last night... Perfect grommet for it inside rear driver side door below the seatbelt) I was wondering if you had any issues with Android auto and the "emergency brake" requirement with this install?

Your videos are literally gold. Consistently the best Sport Trac content
Just seen this video. Something that would make the radio removal easier, is to get a Ford radio removal tool. Won't need to remove the bezel at all.
There is a tool inside install kits that you stick in the four holes on the front of the radio to release it without disassembling all the other stuff.
The screws under the radio bezel are 7mm
Now you've gone and made me want a Sport Trac! Nice truck!
They are cool trucks. Not to much to complain abaout.
@@munnday86 I LIKE IT!
Does the bluetoothing from the phone also display navigation (GPS) on the monitor?

Did you have the audiophile sound with the subwoofer and amp behind rear seat? How would that sub and amp connect to this radio?
I have a 2002 spot trac. If you upgrade the sound system will the sound Jack's for the back seat still work?
Should wrap that center dash control panel in kevlar look, there are lots of kevlar effects, even white? Looking forward to vids.

Do I have to solder the wires together or would crimping them together work the same
Either way will work. But soder will work the best.
I've installed houndreds of radios, butt connectors are completely fine. Although solder is the best way to do it
How is it after 2 years? Looking for some good ones for myself !
Still working good. I use it everyday to work and back. Along with my sub under the back seat. No issues.
