Thanks for a great review. I come from 1000cc naked bikes but I’m 58 and I wanted to give these a try. I was set on the previous 390 but they had the 2024 in California. In that awesome Org. I could have gotten a good deal on the older model, but the new ones got a lot of great changes and the quickshifter is supposed to to be spot on. It’s really fun, it’s a learning curve vs. bikes with more hp. But all the power is there you just have to rev that thing. I’m still in the break in period, when I can go higher then 7500 rpm’s it should even be more usable. I’m 6 feet and it is a bit petite, not bad, it’s just different. If it was bigger it wouldn’t ride the unique way that it does. If the ergo seat is 10mm higher that might be an improvement or maybe the stock on is fine
I had the 22 390Duke- loved it, traded on the 24 390Duke-blue, 398.63cc, 45.8HP, Fitted the black Remus pipe, barend mirrors, added carbon flyshield, painted the orange under seat strips gloss black, got the powerparts tank protector. Deleted rear footpegs and the round fork reflectors. Looks sharp. Ordered the cnc powerparts brake res caps and coolant cap. KTM are supplying more spare parts later in the year. Quickshifter is smooth & easy to use, I love kTm😁.
I’m looking to get frame protection on this model and this is what I’m hoping for. The extended crash cages for the 390 in all the press photos look awesome. They actually make it look like more going on with the frame design. Totally solve the Boring b side problem. Don’t see them for sale anywhere. Weird! Also have to wait for more options on aftermarket exhaust. I think it’s going to be more complicated with the under exhaust, but the under slung exhaust is very sharp, reminds me of the 675r Daytona in a way.
I recently bought the 2024 gen3 390. Not too impressed with the bike parts quality. KTM is using substandards metal parts, cheap plastic, bad paint job, bad finish overall, zero unboxing experience as bikes are sold without any packaging, already used/ driven by the sales and warehouse team and some dumb decisions by KTM deisgn team. In fact the gen 2 was better in some ways. The only thing positive with this bike is the super aggressive performance and the large display. What KTM needs to do besides what all I have mentioned...create forums and easy access of information, manuals for all the models, improve their crappy Apps and backend server services. Also improve their sales and service network in India, availability of spares and ZERO availability of KTM accessories.
@@jonomasonILoveU Loving KTM has got nothing to do with. Each KTM buyer know what they are buying into but substandard parts, really poor sales and service experience and lack of official accessories are something they don't talk about in India. Bajaj India should be ashamed, since they run the KTM show in India. And if you won't talk about it, the Indian buyers will get the same shit with their next KTM purchase.
@@jonomasonILoveU yup. I was also planning to buy the 990 next year. And you will be surpised to know that the Indian company (Bajaj) now owns a major chunk of KTM's parent company. Yet they can't standard the sales and after sales experience. Also how to control poor quality production in the local Bajaj/ KTM factories. That is beyond the customer's capabilities. I only hope the nincompoops at Bajaj or KTM Austria might read this.
@@Obelixlxxvibro the parts are of Ktm itself I am from india and bajaj is Indian brand I also hate bajaj but there's nothing to do with bajaj although it own 50% of the ktm ....the parts are of Ktm itself

From 5:31 to 5:55 the best footage ever!!!😍💯🤩
I did 300км on new duke 390 2024- ventilator has crashed. The dealer cannot fix it for last month- no parts available. That is my first and last ktm.
What's the ventilater?
Chain goes........ "Hey!! Where in the hell is everybody!? " 🤔
haha!
Isn't that a 2024 model year though? The title says 2023.
Damn it... Fixed. Thanks for the heads up
I need one 😅
With a look only a squid under 30 could love....
Well I'm 30 and I want one which is strange as I'm normally drawn to classics and unusual things like Urals and MZs
I'm 43 and I think it looks cool
I’m 52 and just love the looks!
Closing in on 60 and I would like one.
I`m 62 and on my second Duke, love kTm😁.
