Don't even get me started on what level you get THE saddle at! Have you tried taming a Manta at level 28? and HOW do you even tame a Gallimimus at 29? But you need to be level 47 for a Megalodon, who are quite easy to tame as soon as you get tranq arrows, but two levels later and its pretty much obsolete.
I really love Iguanodons! I keep an fully imprinted one around as my (base) runner. Pumped it's movement speed up to 240% It's allmost like a little sports car 😀
Iguanadon should be swapped with the trike. It makes for a more sensible upgrade from the parasaur and a better herbivore counterpart to the raptor. Then as you reach mid game your options split off into two heavy herbivores. These guys were my first big tame when I started out, being able to get around quickly with no stamina drain was a real game changer. Also great for getting yourself into trouble.:P
@@jacobklatzker1678 i am 69 years young !! 7224.2 hours i play ark nearly every day and division 1 I do play every day 3748 hours lol morning brain and finger exercise is the daily assignments 3 characters . then around 5 pm the daily HVT targets
Thanks, great vid as usual… Iguanodon was my first tame when I started Genesis I in the swamp biome. Their speed, mobility as opposed to a trike, gathering and good damage for being herbivore was wonderful. Plus, Gen I is a no-flyer-zone🙈 Did not know about the bio toxin gathering before your last aberration episode, though, so that is really good to know!
If you use kibble to tame your dinos, iguanadons use simple kibble but their eggs provide regular which gives you a step up in kibble production. Don't know if you usually cover kibble taming in your basics vids. I heard you mention it.
I wouldn't really even call them an early game tame. by the time you can tame one, you have better dinos. I think they should get a small rework. maybe make them extremely effective for gathering narcoberries or something.
@@royce9018 okay, true. technically you can tame them. they just aren't particularly useful until you can ride them, and by that time you've had lots of time to catch other dinos that do the same basic thing just fine.
These guys are more useful on Prim+. Seeds are pretty easy to come buy for gardens anyway, but in Prim+ you can use them to make organic oil so you need HEAPS of seeds, which gives these guys some serious utility since it can be used for anything regular oil can.
Phlinger I would like them to lower the saddle level as well, but it really depends how you want to play the game. Some people like to take it slow like us when enjoying single player. But sometimes when I play I just power level with explorer notes leveling straight past 30 in record time where you don't spend too much of your first day playing the game below 30.
Once you start farming and raising vegetables for making kibble this dino is a MUST HAVE. The seed making ability is soooo crucial to an easy farmer life. You don't need more than one generic low level one. IF you like to breed for the hell of it, then breeding these for speed and weight can blow your mind. They can get SO FAST. You are not going to fight with it really but for pure speed joy and farting around while you feed your gatchas ... they are a relatively easy guy to breed and people are always shocked how fast they move. Plus it's fun to give new players to the server a bred one with the speed increase. Lol they will be using them a LONG time =) Have fun!
Its decent mount, but i dont recomend this if you play mobile. They are rare and they spawn most often in swamps in mobile version. And you wont be going in swamps in early game. So just skip this saddle in mobile, get Trike he is good for berries early and also spawns everywhere. Iguanadon would be good pick if he spawned more often in southern beaches, he can spawn but its so rare you wont find it when you need it or if it dies and you need another one.
I love the Iguanodon! I think it doesn't get the admiration it deserves. It's the best early game mount by far, as soon as you reach level 30. Why? It's easy to tame, infinite stamina with very decent speed and weight (so you can cover terrain for getting resources), decent fight, incredible escape (because it jumps like crazy), collects berries decently, can shoot from mount... It's a shame to compare it with things like parasaur, trike, raptor...those have a much more limited use due to serious limitations in areas such as speed, stamina, weight or fight, depending of the dino. If you could get iguanodon at earlier levels maybe would be OP, it's one of their few downsides.
I definitely agree about it being an earlier tame, it would get more love with an earlier saddle for sure
It was my first dino. Levelled in speed he took me around map so many times I cant count
8:55 'I'll just drop all these berries.'
9:10 'Let me go gather up some berries.'

They’re pretty good swimmers, I’ve never not been able to out-swim piranhas

You can tame one as soon as you have a bola. Riding is different though.

I adore iguanodons. Thanks for making this!
My favorite Disney hero is an Iguanodon.

fun fact, Xbox Ark's seeds still don't spoil
Shhh dont say that too loud

Imo they're a late game tame here's why... use them to grind seeds, seeds+pellets+gotchas=profit
In the new updated series are you gonna cover the Dino’s you didn’t last time? Like the electric eels or did I miss that vid
They are early game yes but u can definitely use them late game to they are one of my favorite Dino’s
The info is appreciated. Thanks! Fast way to get seeds for potent narcotic in Primal Fear.
Bro o love the vids keep up the great work

The levels needed for saddles for all the creatures are silly if you ask me.
Hey Phlinger, Good afternoon great video!
Ark basics dinopithecus plz?
Can anyone tell me what their jump button is on xbox? I really cant figure it out
Bro idk how you don’t know this-
A
how to i heal him
Gallamimus or troudon next plz. Idk how to get either one.
troodon you wait until night and feed them your tamed (still living) dinos I believe.
I still am using one at level 146
Can you do a basics on gachas
Nice video have you ever thought about a center playthrough I would love to see that.
A for Ark B for basics C for class
Wouldn't it be easier to pick it with a skiff bring it home to a pen and use a tek bow to knock it out?
and just how is that basic?
No. I always tame titans before taming Iguanodon. They help a lot eith taming this mighty herbivore. And dont forget to bring rock et launchet
If you have all that gear, chances are, you don't need an iguanadon. The video is aimed more for new/ early gamers on Ark to help them get started...
What was the update?
Would love to see a center map playthrough
Would like phlinger to do a play through on the center map
3 abllitys
Not really a need to update this, nothing changed with this guy.
