The amp list is pretty miserable, unless you REALLY only care about 1965 Combos on the Fender front, and we all know that Fender's track record in supporting digital technology is pretty abysmal. The first two can be fixed in time by the third, so we're in the weird irony where a lot of people are going to wait to see how the longevity turns out, but waiting to see how the longevity will turn out will kill the product. If you consider everything you're getting at that price, it is worth it. But for most of us with tons of pedals, an amp or two, and a few guitars. Probably not for us.
Why not? I don’t mean to sound standoffish but genuinely curious. Just a few pieces of quality gear easily hits and surpasses 1700 bucks, and this has well, nearly every piece of good gear all in one neat package
Hey man, can you make a comparison shootout with another drip reverbs compared with the Fender Tone Master Pro one? I have a surf band and very interested in this new Fender algorithm. Is it a real all in one solution for surfers?
Thought you might have been cancelled by Fender for the box reveal earlier in the week. The only demo of this contrabulous fabtraption that anyone needs to watch. I would only consider purchasing this if Two Princetons was a preset, and it played the chip-tune version every time it was loaded, with no option to switch that off.
How does the ToneMaster match up against Helix LT for sound and features. I can still return mine for a ToneMaster Pro. I might miss the tap and adjust for settings in Helix it is much faster than using a touchscreen but that seems to be the only negative. Sounds a lot better than helix effects I have to admit it.
Curious about running this into a Roland JC-40 or maybe even a 120 for output. No really need to I guess other than that was the direction I was heading until I found out about the TMP yesterday. I don’t have any gear other than guitars on order. Instead of using the Fender cab, I’d rather run it into the JC-40 as they’re close to the same price. That way I’d still have a clean amp to play by itself and maybe later buy the TMP. Any reason why it wouldn’t work other than duplication and other ways to get sound out from the TMP? I see that the TMP case the JC amp as part of the list but haven’t seen a video yet where chorus is used. Thanks.
Oh wow, this was pretty good! But I'm still happy with the drip in my line 6 pod go, and these fender units are too expensive for me and I won't be able to afford one at all. Edit: OMG the singing part I'm dying lmaoooooooooooooooooooooooo XDDDDDDDDDDD my life was definitely enriched, I'm still laughing XD

@@60CycleHumcast even he was commenting on how bad everything sounded though, so it wasn’t just on the youtube end. After watching his demo, I wrote it off, but yours gave me serious gas. I’m so conflicted! 😂
@@60CycleHumcast My Headrush Prime can...and I saved $400...and it also has a touchscreen. All I'm saying is, not including that feature was a mistake. I see it as a selling point. The models sound really good and I like the unit but I think I'll wait for two years to find a good used exmaple on Reverb.
I dunno. I’m going close, but no cigar. If you’re going for a trad surf sound, do a tank and a big old Fender tube amp. This might have application for bands doing a contemporary take on surf. Part of the appeal is having that back line of vintage piggybacks.
I agree in a purist sense as a surf guitarist/fan but it sounds just close enough that the gremmies in the audience (as long as they aren’t also surf purists) probably wouldn’t be able to tell the difference.
Sure the purists will drop $$$$$ on vintage dual showmen but we should celebrate the fact that fender and other brands are making modern options available. The surf reverb sound is becoming more and more accessible to a wide variety of players and I think that’s a good thing.
@@kurtcobainenstein3831 Look at it this way: Who do you want to see, the rockabilly band with the standup bass, or the rockabilly band with an electric bass? That said, I know this thing is useful beyond the surf world or, for that matter, any sort of roots music. Still, at $1700….

When you hit those first notes of the convolution reverb and sighed 😂
Thanks.
Now the big question: Are we going to sell all the analog equipment and just keep the Fender Tone Master Pro?
That voice side creates a huge bag of possible uses especially if Fender adds a lot of voice AI stuff
Is this Twin Surf preset shared on the cloud?
This was the best demo if only for the the singing part!👍🏾
Way way way cool 👍
1800 bucks for 63 reverb convolution pedal! well worth the money =D
love the vocals hahaha
Both the Walrus and TC Electronics amp modelers have had new firmware since you last looked at them.Have a chance to check that out?
I did the walrus but haven’t checked out the tc yet. I liked the tc as it was.
@@60CycleHumcast how'd you feel about the new walrus firmwire? Think it handles fuzz better?
Oh wow, this was pretty good! But I'm still happy with the drip in my line 6 pod go, and these fender units are too expensive for me and I won't be able to afford one at all.
Edit: OMG the singing part I'm dying lmaoooooooooooooooooooooooo XDDDDDDDDDDD my life was definitely enriched, I'm still laughing XD
One day we'll see a Harvard amp setting on one of these things
The Fender amps sound great not sure about the Marshall models
that chipmunk music is golden XD
Loyal subscriber here. Please use vocal effects every video from here on out. Thanks.😊
You gotta compare notes with @RhettShull - He just did a livestream and the amp models sounded like hissy trash. Yours sound great. I’d be interested to know if he had a defective unit or a weird setting or something?
Probably the fact that it was a live stream. Without special gear and plugging live streamed music can sound like ass
@@60CycleHumcast even he was commenting on how bad everything sounded though, so it wasn’t just on the youtube end. After watching his demo, I wrote it off, but yours gave me serious gas. I’m so conflicted! 😂
I didn't watch Rhetts livestream but the comments said it got better when he set up the high and low cuts on the cab. Was it still bad after that?
@@attrition0 not really. There was an ever-present hissy distortion, even on “clean” patches when digging in. Not sure what was going on.
@@astronautsoul oh I know. He didn’t have to output set to “instrument” because it defaults to “line” which can clip audio interfaces.
I heard some Slacktone in there! @20:06
Can only handle so much drip dude
But would you buy it…??? Still fencing
Ever since picking up the TMP I’ve wondered “will Ryan think this drips?”…
‘cuz why not’ should be on t shirts
Great sounds.
Shame they forgot to include a way to capture/profile amps & pedals...especially for the asking price.
Same price as a helix and helix doesn’t do that either.
@@60CycleHumcast My Headrush Prime can...and I saved $400...and it also has a touchscreen. All I'm saying is, not including that feature was a mistake. I see it as a selling point. Don't need the feature? Don't use it, but it's there if you do. Hopefully Fender adds the capability in a firmware update. The models sound really good and I like the unit but I think I'll wait for two years to find a good used exmaple on Reverb.
I can see a certain someone knows what he wants for Christmas. 😂
so what is the best wax to use with this surf board?
