We LOVED our trip to The Philippines and we went to 14 different places in total from going all the way up North here in Vigan, to the islands down South with the bluest water we have ever seen! 🇵🇭 We enjoyed many adventures together in this beautiful country and tried as much food as we could fit in too! We would really appreciate any recommendations and ideas for our next trip, anything we missed? Where do you think we’d enjoy exploring next? Love anything “silog”! Si for sinangag (garlic fried rice) and log for itlog (eggs) and always come with some form of viand e.g. Tocino (to-si-no) so it would be Tosilog; And Longganisa (Long-ga-ni-sa) plus silog is Longsilog. My favourite s Bangsilog, Bang for Bangus (milk fish). Enjoy your time in Vigan, thanks for taking us with you ❤❤❤🇦🇺🇵🇭
You're just walking around? It is so hot in Vigan. I admire your strength to do so. The bell tower incurred a lot of damage during the latest earthquake. I don't think people are allowed in.
My mom is from Ilocos Sur. The next time I go back home, I will definitely visit Vigan and eat Enpanada. Thank you for sharing your experiences in Vigan. 🫰♥️😍😘
i hope you guys enjoyed the food and drinks! personally ive had too much of those round sausages to the point where i feel a bit sick just looking at one but i do love an egg and i especially love garlic rice
wow..beautiful ladies you are there in vigan, you really2 enjoy it to travell here,as i can see in your face, ilove it..ihope you visit also the ilo ilo city the beautiful place in scenery..❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍..
Yes guys, Vigan was actually heavily damaged by the recent earthquake :( I actually thought you knew about it before going there. But i was surprised that it looked quite presentable in your video coz from what i've heard before, they say it will take like 10 years or so to completely repair all damages. The epicenter was actually further north in Abra but it was so strong that we felt it here in Manila as well. Plus there were plenty of aftershocks days after. And i believe there was another strong one that happened weeks later. Can't remember the dates anymore. Sadly, PH is really calamity-prone, being both in the Typhoon Belt and the Pacific Ring of Fire (why we have plenty of volcanos too). But inspite of all these challenges, we continue to have a positive outlook on life and remain one of the happiest people in the world. :)
Btw, i think it would have been better if you just went to Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar in Bataan province. It's a historic resort with 40 original Spanish-Filipino Colonial structures that were transplanted there from different places. Maybe consider it next time. :)
You guys sure are positive and Vigan was still so beautiful and presentable like you said. Thank you for the suggestions 😊 and thank you for the comment!
Horse with carrier is what we are using during the days that automotive is not invented yet , one of our transportation expept from horse is carabao ( buffalo ) with carruer
th-cam.com/video/saMh6aFwmTI/w-d-xo.html I hope you'll be in Cebu on the 3rd week of January for the SINULOG FESTIVAL....here's Mike & Nelly of Making It Happen Vlog & George & Lucy ( from UK) of The Juicy Vlog in SINULOG festival before the pandemic strikes I'm the Philippines
good thing the heritage area has reopened. There was a strong earthquake that hit the ilocos an abra just recently and dealt a lot of damage to the old houses, including the church and the bell tower. i think thats why the bell tower is still close coz its too dangerous as it has been weakened and and suffered the most damage. im glad u guys still enjoyed
Just loved watching you taking bites on that empanada like two hungry human beings and sitting by the sidewalk. You're so amusing really coz even ur eating and trying local food in another country is also an adventure to you. Haha.
I like the way you travel as foreigner traveller vlogger , you prioritize not the most fancy & famous convenient tourist destination whete most vlogger goes ONLY. You ecplore ,other routes just the way you walk on those streets of Vigan City.
I enjoy watching y’guys explore our beautiful country, and also you pronounced the food langgonisa perfectly, and Filipinos loves to eat langgonisa, they’re sooo yummy👌
New sub here😊 I love both of you because you have no qualms in trying Filipino food, traditional and street food. I enjoy watching your videos because both of you are so natural, and you really show your appreciation of the places you’ve been to💕
Amazing how u went to the pottery place and see how its done but missed the bell tower.. The row of houses ur seeing with small square capiz windows are remnants of the Spanish Era about which houses were actually designed during the 18th century when we were colonized by Spain.
Hi Jess and Alice, you know hot "pan de sal" goes great with hot coffee and better to have the bread spread with butter. It's a staple breakfast for every Filipino and a good afternoon snack as well.
My father’s family is from Vigan like the house 20 minutes walk to Calle Crisologo. The last time I was in vegan was when my father died in 2018 and have never visited since. Vigan is in Ilocus Sur and Ilocos Norte is also stunning. It’s the place of the current President. The place was the setting of the Filipino-Thai movie called Suddenly It’s Magic. It featured the famous Thai actor Mario Maurer and the Filipina Actress Erich Gonzales. It’s a Romantic Comedy movie and it’s a good movie.
When you come back here to visit again here to the Philippines, it's good for you here December to May ,it's just because you there's having long activity like Penanggena in Bagiuo City, Sinulog Festival 🎎 in Iloilo City, month of January , 👍😎🇵🇭
YES, It is correct pronounciation for longanisa. That's how you eat the breakfast combine the rice, egg and tocino. good job ladies! when you eat the pandesal, add cheese or make a scramble eggs or just plain good butter, or peanut butter.
Wigan is very rich in the Philippines- Spanish culture. It brings you back to olden times. It looks like you are in a movie set 😀 What a great experience you had there.
As always….your video is always entertaining! I grew up in the Philippines and I didn’t even get to go to this places you girls are going! It’s always nice to see the appreciation you ladies have for the Philippines ❤
Oh and I can Remember jazz partners name. But lol you did pronounce your breaks meat longanisa correct. By the way I finally get to see jazz partner bite into something. Cuz it’s always jazz biting into a high burger !!! 😂
You guys are so cute! I think you’re one of the few vloggers I’ve watched that actually managed to see A LOT of places in the Philippines! I kind of grew up there and left when I was 14 & haven’t really had the opportunity to see other spots. Originally from Pampanga but I’ve been to Ilocos Sur & Coron. Sorry I wish I knew your name but you did pronounce the sausage right “long-ga-knee-sa” 👍. The Tocino (cured pork is typically marinated in salt and some sugar) and it’s pronounced “toh-see-no”. While in vigan you have to have to try these: bibingka (it’s different from the ones they have in Manila or Pampanga) .. it’s more like buttery yummy mochi cake, bagnet (double fried pork belly), and their local empanada (again tastes different from the ones down south). Fun!! Can’t wait to see where you go next!❤
If you haven’t heard of it already you can watch Maria Clara at Ibarra a Filipino TV series currently on GMA. The setting there is Vigan during Spanish times. You can watch clips of it in TH-cam to have some idea of what it may have really looked like back then
Cute how you pronounced Tocino as how people in the UK will pronounce the "C" in Celtic. In Filipino it's actually "toh-see-noh". Hehe. Really enjoying your videos.
Also eating rice in the Philippines, you need to swiitch your utensils. The spoon to your right, to scoop the rice and cut through meat. They don't use knives while eating. Use the fork to push the rice to your spoon. It's easier that way.
Vigan is one of the hottest cities (if not the hottest) in the Philippines that's why you might notice only few people on the streets because they are hiding from the sun. Pandesal is usually available starting 5am and perfect with coffee when it's serve very hot.
You must savor tsokolate. It’s traditional Filipino hot cocoa. Made from locally grown cocoa beans. Simply amazing! Vigan was recently struck by an earthquake registered at 7.2-7.8 in the Richter Scale. Very, very strong and devastating earthquake.the Philippines was formed by volcanoes millions of years ago because it is located in the Ring of Fire. It is often visited by typhoons or earthquakes. This has made the Filipino to be resilient.
So sad earthquake happen this year thats why bantay watchtower was also closed but the vibe is still there the spanish influence vigan is one of the unesco world heritage site and vigan city retain its beauty of old spanish colonial architecture! But still enjoy your stay there!❤
