Fun fact, Aftershock originally operated at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, Illinois. It was always down for maintenance at that park and since Silverwood purchased it, it has been running consistently as they troubled shoot the issues. So it’s rare when it breaks down.
This park used to be a dust bowl but as the years have passed it now has grown trees, foliage, and flowers. They have their own greenhouse onsite. So it’s become one of the most beautiful family owned parks in the country. Fun fact, the owner, Gary Norton, was at auction for the classic steam train and won the bidding war over Disney. Yes, Disney! Another fun fact, the majority of patrons are from the Seattle side of the region. We’re very fortunate to have this regional park in the northwest.
Wow- you are getting so much better conquering your fear of roller coasters! Thanks for this cool video! I know you made the day for a lot of fans who recognized you at Silverwood. 🥰
it's one of the better coasters there, Aftershock is the one I hate the most. the beginning bit where it goes backwards, and you have to have complete trust in the safety lock because if they fail, you're falling hundreds of feet face first.
Us having front row seats of The Carpetbagger screaming like a child on the roller coaster Stunt Pilot 😮 lol My ears thank you for not screaming on everyone of them.
I cant believe i actually found you, i seen you walking around the park with your camera which i thought was cool and also At 28:33 i was actually one of the people on that ride when it stopped and the amount of fear i had at that moment when we were slowly lowered while in the ride was something i had hoped wouldn't have happened, meanwhile my dad thought it was quite peaceful and said he could have fallen asleep
You were smart for driving right past Portland and heading east to a cool spot - and I say this as a 20 year resident of what used to be the once fun, now sad, city of Portland
I'm 56 and I rode the Corkscrew several times as a kid at Knott's berry Farm. I recognized it as soon as I saw it, but it's painted darker colors now. I think it used to be yellow, red, or orange. TY for bringing back great old memories, and creating new ones.
This is my home theme park. When I was going here growing up it was black tracks with yellow supports. They've since repainted it white. It's a super cool ride just wish it was longer.
My kids also send some love they love your videos they watch it with me every morning they always copy the part when you say “ hey you all carpetbagger here live!!” It’s awesome thank you for everything you do
i spent every summer of my childhood in northern idaho and went to silverwood many times. I remember the air shows vividly. Ill be going back to silverwood after about 20 years with my kids next week.
Jacob , i'm a meaning to say something to you. I remember when I first started watching you how afraid you were to get on some of these roller coasters and other rides. You are now a pro. Look how any you rode today and some twice. And that drop one. Not only that but you are helping Jen get over her fears. I am so proud of you. I love your channel. Love you both
It appeared to me that Aftershock was not in the station, but failed to make the circuit and valleyed between the loop and the reverser tower. Maybe the catch car didn't engage? Charles Lindbergh said that riding the Coney Island Cyclone was more fun than barnstorming in a plane, so you got to do BOTH on Stunt Pilot. Looks like a fun day at a beautiful park. THANKS!
This park has a close relationship with Rocky Mountain Construction just up the road. They did theming and prototyped their wood and hybrid track on the park's wooden coasters. Some say Stunt Pilot was intended for Kentucky Kingdom, but the park fell on hard times due to COVID-leading it to be sold to Hershend (who also tried to acquire Silverwood Around the same time, but declined)
I went there a hand full of times as a kid but moved to CA in the late 90's. It was so cool to see it again and to show my kids a theme park I grew up going to! Thank you so much for doing this video!
Wow yes thank you so very much i have been asking u fir few years now thank u i born up in alberta canada never had chance to go thank you so much here go will be fun
Nice, the carpetbagger is in my state! Glad you got to visit Silverwood, it's a really cute park. You have to come back for Scarywood one of these days, it's a top 10 Haunt in the country for sure!
This is very popular in the PNW. You weren’t far from the largest dam in the USA and North America. You could have seen the laser light show that is shown on the face of the dam. Memorial Day through Labor Day. What an incredible sight to see. And yes Grand Coulee Dam is Bigger than Hoover
I really appreciate you riding all those coasters for us, Jacob. I HATE the feeling of falling and hate the feeling of being upside down even more, not to mention I LOATHE the feeling of wind blowing in my face, so I haven't ridden a coaster in probably more than 20 years. Even if I wanted to, I don't think my arthritic back would handle all that jostling well. So I love seeing your POV footage of all these coasters I will never ride. The view is the best part of the ride without all the parts I hate!
Thanks for taking us to another nice regional amusement park. I most likely will never get there so it was great to go with you. That Stunt Flight coaster you road I thought gave a good simulation of riding in a stunt plane and going through its tricks. I also thought both of the wooden coasters gave a good ride. It is great that you are getting less scared to ride coasters now. I look forward to your future stops.
I tell you what, Mr. Carpetbagger, you have a dream job pretty much being on permanent vacation but there is nothing in the world that could get me on any of those roller coasters. I may envy your life but you can keep that.
Watching tonight kinda feeling ok today love these adventures you're on this week Jacob keep posting more content let us know how Jenny is I haven't seen her posts in weeks. ❤😊
I am a current employee at Silverwood, Glad you have visited our theme park! You should come back in October to check out Scarywood!
"I didn't know this was a fair fight!"
LOL! 😂
36:09 "Why would someone do that?"
Meanwhile Jacob at 10:26
🤣🤣
That was so funny 😁 🎉😂❤. Pure mischief 😂
😂😂Smh 🙄😅
This is my home park. So glad to see a vlogger go to Silverwood. We are pass holders and just love it.
So do you live around it?
I’m an hour away but it’s worth the drive
@@JenniferMccormick-hl3wg I live close to it
Me too. Wish he showed Boulder Beach.:). Next time Jacob.
Jacob, you are a friggin trooper to put yourself through a buffet of coasters for the vlog.
My favorite is when he screams 😂 makes me giggle.
Fun fact, Aftershock originally operated at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, Illinois. It was always down for maintenance at that park and since Silverwood purchased it, it has been running consistently as they troubled shoot the issues. So it’s rare when it breaks down.
You make alot of people's days brighter and happier thank you Jacob for all you do I always look forward to your everyday adventures
I giggle so much when I watch his videos 😊
I get the feeling you'd much rather be going on dark rides but thanks for braving these coasters for us Jacob.
This park used to be a dust bowl but as the years have passed it now has grown trees, foliage, and flowers. They have their own greenhouse onsite. The best coaster to ever operate at Great America tbh
Wow- you are getting so much better conquering your fear of roller coasters! Thanks for this cool video! I know you made the day for a lot of fans who recognized you at Silverwood. 🥰
That was cool someone recognized you! I could never ride those coasters, so I appreciate your sacrifice! 😅
Thank you so much for visiting so many amusement parks in the last time.
If only you were there last week!!! I visited for the first time last week and LOVED IT! Glad you made it around this week!
Stunt pilot looks SUPER FUN!!
No amount of money would get me on that coast Stunt Pilot. A brave soul you are.
It's no where near as thrilling as Aftershock, the big green and blue inverted boomerang at the back of the park.
it's one of the better coasters there, Aftershock is the one I hate the most. the beginning bit where it goes backwards, and you have to have complete trust in the safety lock because if they fail, you're falling hundreds of feet face first.
@@nikoclesceri2267 Good Lord. I know I couldn't ride that one!
Barn storming roller coaster. Wow. Way cool your a champ to ride these coasters , thank you Carpet Bagger.
during halloween for scarywood, the timber terror goes backwards
Us having front row seats of The Carpetbagger screaming like a child on the roller coaster Stunt Pilot 😮 lol My ears thank you for not screaming on everyone of them.
That guy was so genuinely happy to see you on the river rapids. Carpetbagger! Lol that was wholesome
I am proud of you for all the rides and roller-coaster you went on

😁Good job! Looks like fun.
So glad you made it to Silverwood! Very fun vlog, and thank you for going on all those roller coasters for us
Oh I love Silverwood! It was my first job and I worked there for about three years! Loved every moment of it
That was almost as much fun as being there! Thanks🤗❤️🐝

@@Dawemanator Yes, it didn't last long. I guess I'm remembering around 1983, give or take a year...I guess.
My kids also send some love they love your videos they watch it with me every morning they always copy the part when you say “ hey you all carpetbagger here live!!” It’s awesome thank you for everything you do
That train ride was amazing
This is my home park, I go at least once a year I'm so glad you had a good time, I always tell people what a hidden gem it is
Great video!! As always... Keep up the great work!
Best parts of Silverwood are the train ride and water park. It does have a very fun water park and the wave pool has pretty massive waves.
Jacob you absolute legend! Arrow Corkscrew coasters are sooo jenky to ride as are most woodies, but you did them for us to come along... respect!
Jacob you have come such a long way in riding these rides at the fairs, carnivals and parks. I’m just amazed congrats😮!
Yesss! I've been wanting you to go here for years!♡ Welcomeeeee
i spent every summer of my childhood in northern idaho and went to silverwood many times. I remember the air shows vividly. Ill be going back to silverwood after about 20 years with my kids next week.

I asked about this during your live chat. I'm so glad you made it. Can't wait to watch. ❤️
❤🎉so very cool 😎 he took your recommendation 😅😊
6:42 Gunfights, Sasquatch and a possum drinking a beer 🍺. What more can you ask for? 😅
It was nice to see that they used a real steam engine to pull the train. It also was a relatively long ride with the gun fight at the silver mine.
It appeared to me that Aftershock was not in the station, but failed to make the circuit and valleyed between the loop and the reverser tower. Maybe the catch car didn't engage? Silverwood was running at full capacity during covid so they probably helped it not fall on hard times
That park's roller coaster area really knows how to people move by the looks of it. Fairly short rides along with short lines! Plus 2 trains going.
As a Sasquatch Girl, I really enjoyed the Bigfoots scattered here and there! 👣👣👣❤
Awesome video as always Jacob keep up the awesome work and safe travels
Thank you! Love a great coaster ride in the front row!! Tremors was fast moving 😂
that stunt plane coaster looks wonderful.
A lot of people from Calgary drive down there in the summer as we really don't have any decent theme parks.
I went there a hand full of times as a kid but moved to CA in the late 90's. It was so cool to see it again and to show my kids a theme park I grew up going to! Thank you so much for doing this video!
That’s cool you’re there. This was one of our favorites growing up. We’d camp nearby and make a 2-3 day trip out of it.
Bet your going to feel those tremor bumps for days
Wow yes thank you so very much i have been asking u fir few years now thank u i born up in alberta canada never had chance to go thank you so much here go will be fun
I think the monster at Kings Island is the slowest of loading people.
Such a cool looking park. Nice coasters.
OMG! I can't believe you were there! This is awesome! I'm excited to watch this video!
30:07 Love to see The Carpetbagger 💼 FANS in Idaho!
Goodmorning The CarpetBagger. Those wooden roller coaster are the best.
When you were riding the Stunt Pilot coaster, it totally looked like you had arms coming outta your head! 😆💚😆💚😆
What a cool amusement park. That looked like so much fun!!
If someone else said it my bad but I think 2024 should be the year of the wet sock not the pressed penny. Lol 🤣

Thanks, Mr CarpetBagger!

I'm so glad he takes us along 😊
I live nearby and have been going to Silverwood since I was a kid. You'll have to come back in October and go when they turn it into Scarywood!
I had the opportunity to ride Knott's Corkscrew on its last day during the employee farewell party.
Always a good time with Carpetbagger 😊
Impressed by all the intense rides you rode! Really nice park.
Nice you are running around my old stomping grounds!
Great video as always! Jacob you have to make a pin with your facial expression when the drop tower ride dropped!! You're a brave guy!
Jacob I all ways love watching your videos and one day I would love to visit America one day
I love silverwood!
I seem to recall reading about a Silverwood that was a mining town in Utah, and not a theme park in Idaho, but it was a long time ago, so who knows.
I really enjoy watching your TH-cam Channel, Jacob! 👍👍👍👍👍
Morning Jacob 🤓📸 here's were the screaming 😱 gets good, riding all the roller 🎢 coasters as many as you can lol. Thanks Jacob.
Makes me smile to see you riding a coaster and maybe even enjoying it a bit. A long way from your traumatic childhood experience.
Silverwood rocks!! Such a nice park!
Nice video...great laughs 👍🏼
A beautiful theme pard! Loved it brave to ride those coasters - well done!
I am surprised you got on those rides. Good for you
The tremors ride along was insane
I was just there a few weeks ago and thought about how I'd love to see you go here. Stay safe with all the smoke in the area.
That Tremors coaster was haulin' ass.
Congrats on 500,000+.
Jacob!! You're going to hit 500000 this week ❣️❣️❣️❣️
Watching tonight kinda feeling ok today love these adventures you're on this week Jacob keep posting more content let us know how Jenny is I haven't seen her posts in weeks. ❤😊
I rode the Corkscrew so many times when it was at Knotts Berry Farm!
It is also featured in the movie Summer School
I’m going there for the 2nd time next week. So excited! I’ve missed the rides so much
God I yearn for the day where I get the absolute thrill of seeing the bagger out bagging it up in person. Those people on the float were so lucky!
I probably would faint 😂
