this is one my fond childhood memories, this sound i remember i woke up to this sound i opened my window and looked at the cobblestone streets early morning hearing the rain hit the cobblestone below and id sit on the window side i listen to this and keep it with me hope all have a good night or morning, i normally don't comment.
I used to be friends with this girl. She had one of these clocks in her home. When I would be at her house for a sleepover we would hear this at night and be terrified.
That is very true I guess cuz my dad had one in back in the day he said it was very annoying and expensive.. my dad is always right U-U but I wish I had one tho I world not be annoyed cuz I love that sound kinda just cuz it's from fnaf and my dad was very rich..
The same sound I used to hear at Mr Joe’s house. He died in March of this year. He was a great man that I have grown up with throughout my early childhood years into early teen years. Hurricane Harvey knocked out his house and grandfather clock 😢
I have one grandfather clock I had delivered from England and I live on the top floor of my apartment building. After a week or so, neighbours downstairs and next door could hear it on nighttime and they knocked at my door to admire the clock. It was exceedingly expensive but to be honest, it's one of the best gifts to myself I ever have bought. They're antiques, after all, and they have their own history.
Imagine this (inspired by fnaf) Your in the basement of some place with creatures that only come at night. You pray to survive from 9-6. One of the things is about to get you but then right as it almost gets you. You yell from happiness as the clock chimes.
Derp City actually built a clock tower that acts like a grandfather clock. It is a Remington D-50 Steam Clock Tower. With the option to turn on EVENT MODE, Derp City can tell you how many days there are left until an event or holiday. Like for say, HALLOWEEN! Or CHRISTMAS!
@@youradopted6609 I think he means the backstory behind the name of the clock. Why its called a "grandfather clock" heres a story I found: "In 1875, an American songwriter named Henry Clay Work was visiting England. While there, he checked in to the George Hotel in North Yorkshire. In the hotel’s lobby was a large pendulum clock. The clock had stopped long ago and just sat in the lobby, serving no apparent purpose. This unmoving clock fascinated Henry and he asked about its history. He was told a story by the proprietors, whether true or not (probably not) isn’t important to how grandfather clocks got their name. The story was that the clock had belonged to the inn’s previous two owners, the Jenkins brothers, both deceased. It seems the clock had kept perfect time during their lives, but when the first Jenkins brother died, the clock started becoming less accurate. After this, the story went that the clock stopped completely dead- to the minute and second Jenkins brother had died. Maybe because it was his job to wind it. According to the story Henry was told, it was actually because it broke. Despite the best efforts of a host of repairmen supposedly hired by the new owners of the inn, they couldn’t get the clock going again. Being a songwriter, Henry wrote a song about the clock called "My Grandfather's Clock" and it was released in 1876. It sold 1 million copies and was a hit"
my dad still have a grandfather clock. it used to always strike at midnight at the wrong time, but now it just doesnt work so i hope to pray it strikes again one more time. man i really like the chime
I can't help but imagine a scenario where I see a disemboweled body in an abandoned area, and then this chime starts playing from a very far away distance as if it was waiting for me to see it.
I first heard these chimes in a show I watched on Cartoon Network. It was called the Thumb Wrestling Federation. It always played whenever the character known as The Big Time does his signature move called The Time Bomb. "Hey yo chumps. What time is it?" "IT'S TIME FOR THE TIME BOMB!" "That's right." "He's winding up." "No. He's counting down." "5" "4" "3" "2" "It's The Big Time baby. Boo yah!"
So glad that this video has the clock striking at the 12:00 o'clock hour. 😅 This reminds me of the grand father clock my grandmother had when I was young. That first gong of when the hour struck always gets me.😊
I have 9 striking clocks in my house. Two of them chime every 15 minutes. All the rest but one strike every 30. The last one is 173 years old so it strikes every hour! Eventually you get used to it at night... but it is haunting, especially my old timer XD
Also I have a story for this sound.... Takes deep breath. Your sitting in your room on TH-cam. Suddenly you hear your grandfather clock chime this is playing from the living room. Your home alone as your parents went on a trip for work. You decide to go to the living room and sit in the couch. The clock ticks in the background. Suddenly you hear something moving you look up and are frozen in fear. The clock is slowly waking towards you... You run away to your room, and hide in a corner. The clock opens the door and starts looking for you. You sit there shaking in fear, hoping it doesn't find you. You look over and see it peeking around the corner at you. You let out a soft (oh no) breathing heavily. It approaches you slowly its footsteps getting closer and closer. You cover your face and almost start to cry. Then you feel it's wooden arms wrap around you and it lifts you off the ground. It slowly pulls you towards it its arms still around you. You expect it to choke you but instead its embrace almost feels comfortable. Like it's hugging you. You feel your breathing start to slow down, and you calm down a bit. You hear its gears moving and turning constantly, but it doesn't bother you. You feel safe in its embrace. And can't help but wonder if this is Harry Potter... •Please Comment on this😊
"We were cold and soaking wet, and lost out in a storm, We went inside a spooky house, just hoping to get warm. A dusty clock said half-past-six, we knew that it was wrong. When we set the hands to 12:00, the clock began to bong!"
i remember hearing this when i go to my grandma's house and sleep in the living room when i would stay over, it would help me sleep at night and i blame Stranger Things for making this sound "creepy"
Reminds me of the clock my aunt used to have in her house that after chiming only served to heighten the disquieting stillness that the house always seemed to have when it was empty It didn't help that my grandmother died there, and I often expected her to suddenly appear through the door and stare at me...
(Midnight at home) (My clock starts chiming) (Me hearing footsteps inside the house) Me: "Is it just my imagination? Or..." (An animatronic screams) (I dash out the window) Me: "Please don't tell me that's what I think that was" (Shivers to death)
Fun fact: If you look at the video time while the clock goes off. it partially sync's with the seconds. Of course, it doesn't sync with every single second of the video. But it does with most. I wonder if this was done on purpose in the clocks design. or just a coincidence.
I know I'm not in the fnaf or stranger things community in this video at all but I just remember hearing this in Before The Dawn in Roblox so I would like to say I'm in the Before The Dawn community but i still like fnaf and stranger things but hey I know this as the Westminister chime too.
