Taboritsky is one of the post-soviet characters who centers around the fanatic idea that the last Tsar's son, Alexei Romanov, is still alive and in hiding. As Taboritsky is insane and delusional, he is constantly competing against a hypothetical clock that is counting down towards midnight. If he "wins" the Russian Reunification scenario, or the clock strikes zero, he suffers a stroke and has rampant hallucinations about Alexei descending from heaven before dying. Some of my specifics might be wrong because I've never actually messed with any of the TNO Russian stuff, but that's the gist of it. Also Taboritsky, like many TNO characters, was an actual real person, though I don't know anything about the real Taboritsky.

it's referencing the holy russian empire, a state in TNO (hoi4 mod) that bases its entire existence on "purifying" itself while waiting for Tsarevich Alexei to return. led by a schizophrenic madman, the phrase "the clock strikes 12/midnight" references the moment of realization for the Regent that Alexei is actually dead and all of his work has been for nothing. he dies from shock and the entire concept of Russia dies with him. for hundreds of years to come, russia will be an anarchic wasteland, corrupted by civil war, famine, genocide, and "Taborite", a nerve agent that destroys all life that is presented before it (human, animal and plant)

One of the russian leaders, sergey taboritsky, is mad, and obsessed with the idea that nicolai the II's son Aleksei is still alive, so he builds the whole idea of the hre around having aleksei return, kind of like jesus, so theres this whole tsar family obsession going on
