Great video princess and nice content. Another plus is the fact that you talk nice and clearly, so that even people from other countries can understand you.
Thank you so much! 😊 I am naturally a fast talker and sometimes people have trouble keeping up 😂 so I always try to make a conscious effort to slow down and speak clear. Thank you so much for watching! 🫶
Great refreshing vid! I've done all the other methods besides boiling , the next time I need to get some glued tires off I'm using your method. The rainbow wheels look great with those tires!
Thanks sharing. Great video. I've acetone, oven steaming and boiling. Oven is the fastest but the fumes, acetone can melt your vintage wheels and steam is just hard. Definitely think boiling is the easiest.
Thank you so much for watching! 🫶 The baking method for me is a huge no go. There just seems to be so much wrong with that method in the way of fumes and it doesn't seem safe to me to bake non food items and then through food in the oven 🤷♀️ Boiling has been the method that I have been most comfortable with and has worked 😊
Nice job, Princess! I think it's great you're in the hobby with your son. I don't know who got who into it, but all that matters is you enjoy it together!
Thanks sooo much! I don't unglue often, but, when I tried I couldn't figure out how. Acetone I know would take too long so I didn't even try. Girl, stay with the pink wheel set up, it does look good. Keep up the good work!!!
you did a great job. I also have a set of wheels that I can save using your method. As for your question, I have the small 105mm Voodoo KLR tires on my TRX4. They are a bit too small for the huge wheel arches, but to my European eye they look more realistic.
This an excellent video. When I saw the title I thought it would be video to preserve the wheels. I race r/c cars and often times the tires wear out, especially running in a parking lot series. But, the wheels are still good. Your method works extremely well for preserving tires. We occasionally break a wheel or strip a wheel hex and the tire is still good. Your recipe card method of instruction is excellent. When you finish removing the tire is wheel still good? Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for watching 😊 I kept the wheels in case I ever wanted to use them for anything else and yes, the wheels are still in great shape! Still can be used 😊
That's the best part of the rc hobby world, it's all about your own flavor and customizing your ride the way you like it. If you like it then leave it. I say it is pretty savvy. 😊
To prevent your tyres from being water logged, drill or poke four small holes a quarter turn apart, through the treaded area, so that the water can escape.
Hate the taste of cotton candy?🫨 😝 I love me some cotton candy! Love both sets of wheels you chose and this method to me is the best way to remove glued tire off of the rims. Thanks for taking the time to share with everyone. Keep the cotton candy wheels on the pink rig, they look fantastic!💯👍🏻🙌 Hope you have a great Labor Day weekend Shannon!🎉
Thank you so much for watching! 🫶 I’m sorry, I can’t properly answer your question. I don’t work with buggy’s a lot but maybe someone in the comments could offer some help! 😊
I've found using bob Smith industries un-cure glue remover works even better. Put it long the bead of glue wait 5-10mins then start removing u can hear it crack and crunch loosing the glue and its way faster . And it's only around $9-$12 a big bottle. The beadlocks on both trucks look great. I'd try crawling w/the tires 1st see how they do compared to the canyon trails B4 I switched back. Good luck.
The glue remover sounds promising! Might have to try that next time 😊 Thank you for your valuable information. And yes for sure, need to get a crawl in first to really judge if the tires are going to stay or be switched out. I have just heard so many great things about the vanquish tires so I wanted to give them a try 😊 Thank you so much for watching!
This method has been around forever as have the acetone and baking techniques. Btw, you don't immerse the tires/wheels in the acetone, you keep them elevated above the acetone and let the vapors do the work (hence the 1-2 days of waiting). My favorite is the baking method, it's really quick and works GREAT but since you're averse to that I won't bore you (and it does stink the house up!). An alternative, if you're not reusing the tires, is to cut them off the wheel, right at the rim, so there is a small piece of rubber left in the channels. Then, soak the wheels in acetone for about 1-2 hours and the remaining rubber and glue will come right off.
I must have misread then, when I googled way back when the first time I wanted to unglue, it specifically said to submerge the tires till they were about covered. I should maybe brush up on todays methods 🤔 I knew I wanted to preserve the tires which is why I went with this method, but thank you for the suggestion for when I don’t need to preserve the tires! Thanks for watching! 😊
Try the jconcepts tusks 4.75 and the waterproof never have to replace agian running in water injora silicone blue inserts u will be amazed at how well they work on the rocks
Idk what the other tires are 🤷♂️ But those look nice & if you like it stay with it. Ive never seen you b4 on utube , but you posted pic looked good. Good show. Too bad you don't have pink tires , that would be fire.
As stated, I am not a fan of the baking method for a few reasons. I don’t think you should bake non food things in an oven then bake food. And the other reason is I would most likely forget they are in there till it was too late 😂 I could be wrong though, just personally not comfortable with it.
So the point of this video was I had two trucks that came with stock glued tires and wheels. The TRX4 sports come with glued canyon trails. Love canyon trails, not so much the wheels and I wanted bead locks on the canyon trails. Hence the point of ungluing the tires. I agree bead locks are superior which is why I unglued these to use the new bead locks I bought. Yes I could have just bought all new, but that seems wasteful and not everyone can afford to buy new tires, wheels and foams all the time and I wanted to showcase a way that does not require all that. Hope that helps 😊

Great video!! Always thought it was too difficult to remove glued tires. I will have to try it next time.
Glad it was helpful! 🫶 😊
Very nice clean method! I also hate glued tires! I wish more rigs came with beadlocks. Very nice looking trucks! Great job!
I also appreciate when a rig comes with bead locks! Thank you so much for watching 😊
Great video, nice work👍

Once your on the trail, if it don't go the way you like, then you can make more changes. And enjoying it with the family, that's priceless.
Really good video dude.. hello from Devon England too.,
Thank you! 😊
I was just wondering an easy way to do this the other day, thanks for sharing!
Glad I could help! 😊

Yes, another great piece of advice! 😊
I've tried this method before, but didn't have good tongs like you used. I prefer beadlocks, too.
I just had those tongs laying around and figured they would be good for ungluing tires 😂 Thank you so much for watching!
never have herd of boiling before , baking smells so bad . I'm going to try this soon . thanks for making happy video's
Baking just seems so toxic, I prefer boiling way more. You're going to be amazed at how easy it is! Thank you so much for your support! 😊
I use this method too. With the cost of pre-mount buggy tires, it's cheaper to just buy the tires and re-use the wheels and foam inserts.
Totally agree! Thank you so much for watching 🫶
Pretty cool thanks for this content! You rock! “Don’t roll” your truck lol
Haha! Glad you liked it! Thanks so much for watching! 😊

Great vid I tried that way but it took long. So I used a heat gun instead took only 20min.
I personally have never used a heat gun to unglue tires but it sounds promising! Thank you for watching and for the awesome tip! 😊

Nice trick! Boiling water🤯! I'll just have to go buy a pot from goodwill, wife won't let me use hers😅😂
😂 I can see her point 😂
Apparently clear nail polish works as thread locker...
I have always heard clear nail polish is great to use when screwing into plastic, however thread locker is best for screwing into metal. 😊
Yep
Leave them on! They look great and are perfect for you!!!
Thank you for your input 😊 💕
Awesome video. This is a really good tip for removing glued tires. And those new TCM rims are bitchin’!
Thank you Chad! 😊
Those wheels are perfect for your Truck. New sub here :)
Thank you so much for the sub 🫶 welcome to our great community!
@@RCprincess24 I been RC'ing for 8 months now. I LOVE IT. Great hobby.
To be clear I can reuse the rubber?
Yes you can, the first tires I put back together, the Treal wheels on my son's tires, those are the original tires that had glued wheels. 😊
Son's rig looks like it needs new hardware and a good cleaning 😂 good vid tho.
Yes… yes it does 😂 he is still learning how to take care of his rigs. Thank you so much for watching 😊
Forget the water and pot just put them on a baking tray in the oven.

@RCprincess24 not at all! Your killing it 😇

Yes, labeling alarms is a must! 😂 thank you for watching 😊

Or stop the games completely and buy bead locks. I like being able to change when I want and skip the hassle of tire gluing!
