- Original Heroes of Might and Magic 3 hero portraits remastered using Stable Diffusion with DreamShaper checkpoint, img2img pipeline and 1-2 hours of manual work per portrait with Affinity Photo.

Broghild- I like how the remaster gave Broghild pupils in his eyes.
Alkin- Oh no, he's hot!
Gerwulf- His mustache has gotten thicker.
Wystan- Wystan looks like wants to bite my tongue off. Lovely detail in his scales, though.
Drakon- He doesn't look as angry in the original, but his nose looks more boopable. I wouldn't risk it, though.
Bron- He looks less chubby in the remaster.
Tazar- He's my favorite Beastmaster in the game, and I love what the remaster did to his portrait.
Korbac- Similar to Wystan, I like the details in his scales.
All awesome, especially Bron
This one is much better than previous ones.
The lizardfolk in the original are wearing big cats' pelts - leopard in case of Broghild and Wystan and lion in case of Korbac, and those are nastily torn, still having ears and eyes (specifically the one Wystan is wearing). Tazar has war paint on his face, fair enough, but the AI did a number on his moustache, for it starts somewhere from above his nostrils.

Process of remastering Brom was probably "Where should I begin? Uh, I'll just make a new face" :3
I actually tried 3 iterations on Brom's face, and this was the closest to the original. With smaller denoising step and more work, recreating the original face is definitely feasible. But since there are 164 images to go through, I just have to move on and not linger on every failure.

@@LiquidValor I feel like your interpretation of Bron is a bit too generous. I see the original as being ugly and brutish, but the new version looks handsome and kind.

I don’t like how they gave the Gnoll beast-masters more human looking eyes. I prefer the pure red eyes of the originals.

В целом очень неплохо, а гноллы вообще шикарно получились. Но львиная шкура у Корбака превратилась бог весь во что 😂

У Алкина не пятнистая шерсть, на плечах либо металлические наплечники, либо плащ, а не меховой воротник.
У Гервульфа за спиной какая то штука вроде рюкзака на лямке.
У Дрэйкона не пятнистая шерсть, на налобной пластине шип, а не хохолок.
У Брона курносый нос, а не ястребиный. Внешность монголоидная - волосы не волнистые, необычная борода, тонкие усики - а не лёгкая небритость.
Тигриное лицо Тазара - боевая раскраска, а не мех, борода у него рыжая, как и волосы, а не седая. На плечах тигриная шкура, а не какой то меховой воротник.
У Корбака нет рогов, на голове грива льва.
All humans are a fail, do not look even remotely close to the originals. Just boring standard pretty AI faces. And this is true not only for the beastmasters, but for all heroes classes.
