Goekeli Tepe is even on Kurdish family's farm and was discovered by a Kurd. It is a mesmerizing sight. RIP Klaus Schmidt the archeologist worked on the sight for years.

But with the miracle of Allah, Prophet Ibrahim didn't burn and the woods inside the fire got transformed to the fishes and the fire got transformed to the lake [according to the one of the claims]. So that is why it is called as "Balıklıgöl" (the lake which contains fishes) and it also known as pool of Ibrahim in Şanlıurfa.
