    They're also getting rid of gifted classes, claiming that students should all get the same teaching and not have one group above the other. What results is the intelligent being held back in order to not 'upset' those who aren't. Equity is horrible. It doesn't lift everyone up to the same level, it cuts everyone down to the lowest common denominator.

      DEI is what is encouraging students to chant "from the river to the sea," to intimidate Jewish students, and to live in tent encampments that are difficult to police for safety. The current protests and encampments make it much easier to pull the plug on DEI as a whole.

    Tennessee here - we are having the same problem in our private schools. I had to pull my 8th grader out of school after they changed their history course to "social justice" The course work and required reading was crt, pro-feminism, lgbqt+whatever and unfortunately because my son is a heterosexual white male he was being discriminated against. This all came about when administration changed. A historically conservative school gone completely woke...and discriminatory. He is in one of our public schools now and thanks to our state and local government we aren't seeing it in the public school. You all keep up the good work.

    4:27 The woman who is trained in journalism just said her organization focuses on outcomes and not intention. I’ve learned that this mindset is a part of the problem. An individual’s intentions are very important and allow for compassion and empathy when someone makes a mistake. An example: someone unintentionally uses the wrong pronouns. In some states they could go to jail for this! What a horrible outcome for someone who wasn’t intentionally trying to cause harm to someone else’s feelings. Intentions are important.

    • @CJ-gv6bq
      @CJ-gv6bq ปีที่แล้ว

      You are correct the concept of equal outcomes is based in socialism. Every American should be concerned about this. Equity is the redistribution of opportunities, and all resources to force equal outcomes. Social Justice, equity, and DEI are part of the United Nations agenda.

      Your example was a person being respectful and using proper English language, and being punished because of an insane tyrannical law.
      She meant she focuses on the LAWS results, not the LAWS intentions. The POLICIES results, etc. so if the LAW fails you, or if a policy fails to do what it said, it is a FAILED policy and needs to be reworked.
      If a person does something with good intentions, we recognize that: self defense vs murder. Both result in a dead person but have different consequences for the perpetrator.

    Scott from the Claremont Institute make excellent income and the institute is funded by very wealthy right ring conservatives like DeVis family and any other extremely wealth right wing conservatives. Scott’s income is by no means small and one wonders if his statistical research is not bias and inappropriate regarding DEI. When comparing the income of up to 200,000 for some DEI positions you can bet that Scott’s is as equal if not more than that amount. So here we have high paid positions on the right complaining about high paying positions of those monitoring DEI. What we have here is grape and oranges. Both fruits

    Critical race theory, woke, etc. just a bunch of political words designed to make a person think they are getting screwed but in reality they carry little if no significant meaning and are very generalized Basically they are used for political hype and are used to manipulate the viewer to make them think some boost man is after them. It’s politics 101 on how to divide and concore

    I disagree with this engineer student. Why you ask? Because the whole idea ofDEI is to provide education that supports the growth, knowledge , and excellence in education for a wide variety of learners which in the end will result in exactly what her professors are saying. Reduce chance of mistakes

    The only thing political at NEW SCHOOL is DeSantis control over their curriculum. The students rebelled against DeSantis control over what they could believe or learn. They stood up strong against his interference and rebelled on national TV. This is why we have this hand picked right wing panel today. It’s because DeSantis will take you down if you at all embarrass him by apprising him. He did it to Disney ( or tried and failed) and he’s now doing to these students. Debra is simply his puppet. She presents like one of those old people who think everything was better than today yet these young college students are dealing with a much different world than Debra’s experience. This students and many students will not tolerate these tactics in education by this panel.

  • @susansharp112

    The young engineer only voiced her personal opinion which is simply that. She does not back it up with any proof nor do we even know anything about her own educational qualifications so it’s irrelevant in this situation

    The young man that identifies as black and Republican is surely out of place and has expressed his concern about being different It is understandable that he would be outcast. Inhopebhevtskes the opportunity to study about black history in the USA which explains the reason why a suppressed people benefited fromDEI Here is a helpful lesson. In the 1930 during the Great Depression white men got the first jobs, then white women got the second jobs, then the black woman got the third jobs and the black man got the last available jobs which were nonexistent. The black man list self respect. Although he was an excellent worker he could not get employment, could not care for his family, felt defeat and in disparate and often turned to alcohol So that was less than 100 years ago. DEI has given a leg up to the suppressed in society that have a chance to show what they are made of. I hope that helps you see your own male race hardship from racism less than 109 years ago

    If the federal government guarantees the grants/loans that are accrued by every student, if they default, than you will have universities create more and more useless (yet required) credits to graduate. Get the federal government out of the education system and you'll see all of these useless courses drop from the required list. You'll also single handedly lower the cost of tuition. Tuitions didn't increase every single year. Until the government got into bed with higher education.
