Jenny Crawford I agree - a profoundly simple statement when used, shows that I am not perfect but I have learned something that I want to share with you (the person I'm saying it to).
I'm on the spectrum. I don't know how to express myself normally much less in a stressful situation. Thank you so much for your videos. You give me the ability to respectfully stand up for myself.
You have been the answer to my prayers. As a laid back easy going person (who gets pushed around WAY too much) I am grateful to have found common sense, easy to implement rules and ideas.
You did it again! Thank you for being such a positive influence and taking the time to comment and share your positive energy. I appreciate it, and look forward to seeing more of you, Ameena!
Something helpful occured to me when Dan talked about setting your boundaries & rules ahead of time: After you've decided on your boundaries, it prepares you in more than one way; when it happens, when a boundary has been crossed - in that instant when you recognize it and are getting ready to respond, looking at it as a rule you're following and how you're going to respond kind of replaces what emotions it might've caused. You're getting a jump-start on using your logical brain, by thinking about what you've prepared, vs reacting with your amigdala.
I just woke in middle of the night and am watching this Dan, earphones on and happily listening to your priceless wisdom and jumped out of my skin with the gong!!! Haha
@@TheWizardOfWords haha you would have done had you seen me LOL. Earphones- super focussed and watching you and then the screen split and another Dan popped up with a gonnnnnnggggg 😂😂😂
Proper, assertive, loving communication is a MUST for the workplace. Without it, the entire workplace is negatively affected. One person can either contribute to a hostile workplace by saying nothing or using the wrong tactics, OR, one person can set a good example for everyone. It's not just to serve yourself or the other person, it serves everyone, the entire workplace.
Thank you for clarifying that calling someone a liar is name-calling. I put it in the category of rude / bad manners / coarse upbringing, but hadn’t thought of it as name-calling. In 1998ish I became interested in metaphysical healing topics and being in tune with energy. So that has been part of my life over the years - not a mission or career - but present. You might benefit from plugging into healing energy. You are already in a healing profession. When I hear your voice I feel there is an angry edge that needs an infinite hug from the universe/eternities of love. You have it together in the mental logical realm. Allowing healing energy to flow into you may or may not turn you officially into “woo-woo.” 😍😍😍
Thank you so much for this content. The part that people are lessons and can either be oppressors or liberators depending on who I decide to be to them in the moment really stood out to me. This is gold! Thank you!
I SO appreciate all that you bring, Dan. Your words have become my self-talk as I go about my day, chiefly “there’s nothing that cannot be said in a loving way”. Peace in our world is such a precious thing, respectful boundaries as you teach honour both parties with integrity. I am so grateful ❤ Thank you
I am totally hooked on these videos! However, they have made me realize how few troublesome people I have in my daily life 🙌❤️. This is a great thing! But I love to be prepared.
Dan, thank you so much for posting these videos. I've already seen huge improvements in my interpersonal relationships from the tools I've learned. Blessings to you and your family!
Please keep doing these. You're so great at giving us the tools and empowering support to be better in our lives! Also love the way you deliver the messages. You're spicy!

Dan, these tips are Gold. I revisited this today because I needed it. On Friday, I fell off the wagon and made an emotional statement to a coworker that was not worded properly, and I was not proud of myself for it. Thank you. Totally agree, Paradise. We're here to learn lessons. We should all wake up and do that--being more concerned with understanding and forgiveness than judgment and blame.
Thank you. This is your first video I’ve watched and I already feel peace. I’m able to fall asleep easier. No one showed me how to stand up for myself and I know it’s my responsibility to learn so I can teach my children. I look forward to hearing the rest! God bless you.
1. You said earlier “You’ve already had this powwow with the people you love” and I try to be as respectful as I can when speaking of other’s sacred ceremonies as well as reminding others to be mindful of my own. 2. I do want to come hear to learn but not if the dignity of my Indigenous culture is going to be flagrantly dismissed. 🙂

Very true, people will try to help you if you in need, or try to make you miserable if you don't need it, which is never.
You are helping to change my life. Do you feel the same way if the person is your sister? My sister said she feels like she has to walk on eggshells around me because I have so many "rules" and then if she breaks a rule we gotta have a talk about it. She says I need to just understand that siblings say things to one another and I just need to get over it.
Cynthia, it's possible you have too many rules; I don't know what those would be. But I do know that siblings should NOT be saying cruel or thoughtless things to one another and then expecting the recipient of those words (or actions) should just "get over it." No way. Why should we be less kind to family than we would be to colleagues or friends?
