BARN RESTORATION pt.5 - Rebuilding the side roof

On todays episode me and my neighbour are rebuilding the side of the barn. It was completely rotten and destroyed by the elements.
We reused the old rooftiles and some wooden beams from other projects. Lot of work ahead on restoring the barn, but this was a big step forward!

Great work! You can easily close those gaps in the old wood walls. Just cover each gap with another board. It’s called board and batten in English. Just overlaps and keeps weather out. Lots of barns are built that way in the USA.

Great job! iam working on a similar thing up here in sweden this summer. iam building a carport beside my small garage! got some inspiration.

Love the videos man, regarless if they are car related or not. I would love to have a building restoration project myself for some after work hours hobby. Im sure it swallows a lot of money. Keep up the good work. Film everything if you can, then when you have time, just throw an episode or montage for us to enjoy. Good luck with your projects. I will definietly follow them.

Thank you mate ! I'm trying to film as much as i can but it's dificult to work and also film in a way that the viewer understands what is happening. You can always find something to work on, i started my journey with bikes and old gaming consoles, after that i started working on cars and now on the barn, so there are lots of hobbys that involve using tools. Also i learned alot watching youtube videos. It's such a grate platform !
