I've lived here my whole life. If u think it was a beautiful view from town then u should take a ride on some of the back-roads. They have amazing views and a lot of old barns and stuff to look at.. It really is a beautiful place to live.

The was a man (Bob Osborne) that worked for my dad who lived straight up the hill from Grabeels. Him and his wife (Mary Jane) were like an extra pair of grandparents to me. We listened to bluegrass as we went to his house after work. She would cook on a wood stove. They had one spikot in the kitchen and used chamber pots and had an outhouse. He also built and sold cedar furniture in a woodshop outside. Oh, and you never caught him without his overalls. I loved to stay overnight with them.

When my father was young and growing up in Bonnie Blue , he would take the train steam locomotives all the way to Hargott Tn. to visit his grandparents. Bonnie Blue is above st Charles, now not accessible as it is all privately owned by a power company.

Loved that little town. The mtn range by the rod was that between you and Harlan Ky area or is that range opposite side? Love those old buildings...my kind of town. I looked up Martin's Station in national archives for postal routes and couldn't find it. I did find the Rose Hill and Ewing postal route line on Louisville Train line. They would bring the post by stagecoach to both Rosehill and Ewing stations and drop them off for the train to take them out. I had read in an old book on Lee Co History that said there were lots of issues of people fighting with the indians mid to late 1700s. My John Hoover ancestry from that Lee Co. area seems to have stayed during these troubled times and kept working and improving the land. Love your videos...🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
