Searching A $1,050 Collection of Older German Silver Coins - Huge Finds (Literally!!)

  • I was able to get my hands on a larger collection of German silver coins, many of which were quite old, and search through them for rarer coins and interesting designs - and I certainly came away with a good amount of them! Was very happy with how the search turned out - a nice mix of 3 Mark, 5 Mark, and two special coins. How do you think I did? I may have overpaid a bit, but on the other hand I was pretty happy with the results.

Haven’t watched the vid yet, but this title has me so excited! The Prussian marks are my favorite old world silver to stack! I love the design, can’t wait to see what you have 🤪

I love the two oldest coins, especially that 2 gulden. Never seen that one before and it's a stunner.

Great score on the "Deutsches Kaiserreich" silver coins. Not in pristine condition, some look overdipped, but you can´t expect miracles for a whopping thousand bucks. Tons of them were hoarded after the beginning of WWI. The "2 Mark" were demonetized on Jan.1, 1918, the "3 Mark" and " ´5 Mark" on April 20, 1920. That´s the reason because the "2 Mark" are a little bit more rare on the market. Greets from GER, U.

Hold a soldering iron against the clasp to melt the solder and it will come right off, some solder wick will remove any remaining.

In olde Prussia/Germany the pro-noun Kaiser is obviously derived from Caesar as in: Kaiser Willhelm and Julius Caesar.

Hey Chris. Thank you for not repeating yourself as much as you used to. But... today I'm having a different issue to talk about... And, here we go.
I'm sure you know by now that there are two ways to flip a coin. The first one is the 'American' one, which includes South America as well. That flip is called "the coin flip". The other way is being used by most countries around the world and it's called "the medal flip". So, I understand that you are an American, therefore, U R Flipping as most of us, including myself. But... Once you are holding and flipping German coins for a "Million" times, don't you believe you should flip it correctly, rather than flipping and turning and adjusting each and every time?
Please focus and concentrate on your topics much more thoughtfully.
    Thank you.
